For example, fox flight here, or robo-claw in another platformer). Some flaws, or even non-fatal bugs, can be forgiven for good gameplay and / or history, just lower the rating a little. For example, in Blasphemos I was angry a lot about platforming and crooked hit-boxes of some mobs, but in general the game was very captivating and I liked it. And I went completed a dozen of such games with such "an average rating, but good for me... So what is it here, in this game?
Story: It's completely static. Served by inserting dialogues with the interlocutor as in some kind of the cheap date-sims. And as simple as five cents (big evil boo-boo-boo, the little fox hero defeat the big evil). No, Good-vs-evil itself has never been a problem, but a flat and unprincipled presentation always kills such a concept.
Atmosphere: There is no atmosphere here, from the words "At all". Not in the scenery, not in the music, not in the characters. Everything is very simple and sterile. Lots of repetitions. And for a level with constant bright flashes - a separate cauldron in Hell for someone who decided that this would be a good idea.
Music: Just platforming background music, so to speak. Taken from sound assets, apparently.
Controls: Kind of usual normal control for platformings, but there is one HEAVY "but" what made me burn through the chair... the fox CONSTANTLY turned around against the movement. I lost my health and sometimes my life dozens of times, simply because this foolish furry doll turned against the enemy, and the tail blow went into the void. This idiocy killed half of my desire to play, to be honest. And no, the D-pad is not a solution, as I have always used it everywhere to scroll through objects or something from inventory, in other games, and "well, you'll get use to the D-pad" is not an excuse for this sh*t.
And, now the cherry on the cake: a feature of the game... no, these are not special skills, which, of course, are here... the main feature of this game for me was PAID SAVE POINTS! ...Paid, Carl. Do I really need to explain why this is a disgusting idea?
In short, this game did not become the one with an average rating, but it can be interesting personally for me .... No, it can’t. At all.
