Apr 21, 2025Fubuki: Zero in on Holoearth – Hololive Alternative is an above-average action-platformer elevated by feverish sword slashing, great looking pixel-art and an abundance of on-screen adversaries. Just be aware, it’s shorter than one of the Vtuber’s streams.

Apr 11, 2025Even though it takes inspiration from Hololive Alternative’s teaser videos and manga, this title is clearly its own loving homage. If you are a fan of Shirakami Fubuki or enjoy fast 2D side-scrolling combat, Fubuki: Zero in on Holoearth – Hololive Alternative could be right up your alley. It is set to release on April 12 on Steam and promises a few hours of energetic fun, especially for those ready to sharpen their reflexes. Kon kon kitsune!

Apr 14, 2025FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~ HOLOLIVE ALTERNATIVE is a short, but sweet, retro-action platformer. The beauty of its pixel art can be obfuscated by the visual business of what’s on-screen and the level design skews overly simplistic, but it’s still fun for a few hours. If you’re a Hololive fan, you’ll be pleased by its Easter Eggs.

Apr 27, 2025FUBUKI ~zero in on Holoearth~ HOLOLIVE ALTERNATIVE is a beautiful and short adventure that, although featuring stunning animations and pixel art, makes little use of important game design elements and offers limited appeal to players unfamiliar with the Hololive universe. Despite boasting a rich and impressive soundtrack, I hope that over time the developer takes player feedback into account and responds to the criticism.

May 2, 2025I’m a fan of Fubuki: Zero in on Holoearth, especially if I drop down to the easy difficulty level to really enjoy myself. It’s an entertaining Mega Man-like game wearing a Hololive Vtuber skin. I do think it is at its best if someone really enjoys both that type of game and Cover’s performers. If not, then the length, fact that the weapons from each boss don’t feature any strategic element, and injection of Holoearth and Hololive lore with no explanation could be too high a barrier to jump.
