Franchise Hockey Manager 2 is a wonderful entry for hockey into the world of sports simulation, and is of the highest quality in terms of design, layout, navigation, and accuracy. Nothing particularly special to look at when compared to other “action” sports titles, Franchise Hockey Manager is for hardcore hockey fans who are more interested in Euroleague transfer rules than on-the-ice action.

Franchise Hockey Manager has the depth you would except from a great manager. Improved user interface will make your experience much smoother this time around.

This game isn’t going to be a sensory spectacle with all the whistles and buttons of a big budget game. But the real secret behind this game is the database and engine.

A huge step in the right direction but is a tough on newcomers who may be put off by its complexity.

I have played all of OOTPs products for many years and it takes time to learn each one. The games are highly detailed in most of what a GMI have played all of OOTPs products for many years and it takes time to learn each one. The games are highly detailed in most of what a GM would need to do to become a success, win a Division and attempt to Win the Stanley Cup. Each Team is built with entire Minor Leagues of players to control. Injuries play a big part of the sport and is reflected in the game management. Each aspect of the OOTP games revolves around mathematical aspects which are each player's strength and weakness, so match-ups are important for every game on the schedule. The game is that detailed, critical at times. Playing a game on the schedule may not be a pretty thing but it is relevant because in Hockey many players are role players with minor numbers reflected for Offense, not seeing a game being played out will show a defensive player as not as important as the player is likely to be. The games require micro management often times, unlike the football game this game reflects why Teams who succeed are the ones who keep their Draft players. As for game "Crashes" I have found this to be very rare, sometimes the enormous information may cause a slow-down but an actual crash is rare - please just wait a minute and the game usually recovers itself. These are very well-written technological marvels because of the depth but don't believe the crash as far as I am concerned. Expand

I like the direction of the game. But still needs some work. getting too many crashes, and also not enough in game control. Good foundationI like the direction of the game. But still needs some work. getting too many crashes, and also not enough in game control. Good foundation that could be very good in future. Expand
