    Extremely easy, very similar quests, no ranked adventure. High price tag if buying premium. For sure not worth it. Basically it is just a "Forza Horizon 4 reforged" where graphic is a little better, but with less things to do and no challenge. You can most likely reverse trough drift zones and get 3 stars. VERY long loading times. If you like drift then this game will not be the one to go for.

    Constantly crashing on PC and contains unskippable cutscenes. Instead of playing, you're effectively constantly watching the same videos over and over and waiting for the next crash.

    It really is great now that it works. Amazing feel, graphics.. the only thing I used to hate of the previous horizons was cross country - now it’s my favourite activity.

    Multiplayer is buggy, music is terrible, setting is dull, story is cringe, developers are woke. If you want to get some enjoyment out of it; think of it as a FH4 expansion, turn off the multiplayer, turn on a FH4 music playlist on youtube. And voila you got yourself a mediocre game.

    Garbage car physics and driving. The cars are glued to the ground, take zero cosmetic damage and drive as if they were on rails. Even 2008s GTA IV did the whole arcade racing gameplay far better than this, heck I'd dare say Playstation 1 games were probably better and more realistic. The open world nature of Forza is also highly detrimental to proper matchmaking; if they just got rid ofGarbage car physics and driving.     car plates are bugged on amd cards, the game randomly stutters even though i have 100+ fps, the red flares on street races that appeared quite normal in FH4 are now appearing pixelated

    this is another failure of a release amongst many that we got in the last few years, developers are getting lazy and releasing full price AAA games that are bugged and just worse versions of their prequels.

    this game is full of gimmicks but very little substance, my score is 0 because i loved FH4 and wanted more of the same, instead this is what we get, worse driving, worse (or not improved) graphics, worse performance (at least on pc), terrible AI that makes racing annoying.

    Поиграл в игру пару дней нормально (Если не считать бесконечные проблемы с сетью), но теперь начались бесконечные вылеты игры. Также в онлайне часто встречаются невидимые машины других игроков. В мультиплеере часто встречается проблема, что другие игроки не могут выбрать другую машину отличную от хозяина лобби. В сетевой игре часто происходят дисконекты.Поиграл в игру пару дней нормально (Если не считать бесконечные проблемы с сетью), но теперь начались бесконечные вылеты игры. Также в онлайне часто встречаются невидимые машины других игроков. В мультиплеере часто встречается проблема, что другие игроки не могут выбрать другую машину отличную от хозяина лобби.     I never thought this day would come but... This game is a complete freakin mess on PC. After FH4 that ran almost flawlessly for 3 straight years, on PC, this is a disaster beyond belief.

    There's just too many bugs and issues for the game to be enjoyable. It seems all the love went into the XSS/X versions of the game, while the remaining platforms were completely **** on big time.     There's just too many bugs and issues for the game to be enjoyable. It seems all the love went into the XSS/X versions of the game, while the remaining platforms were completely **** on big time. From performance degradation due to memory leak issues to stutter, low streaming bandwidth errors, bad LODs, broken graphics settings, swapped engine sounds between cars, floating cars in specific cutscenes, graphical corruption on roads for no reason, you name it!

    I've played it for less than a week and called it a day because of how bad it is atm. I've been playing FH4 because, sadly it looks and runs miles better than FH5 at this very moment. And it's not like I can get a refund now. I've pre-ordered it through the Microsoft Store with wallet credits because I trusted them. Never in my life I expected such a rushed port from Playground Games. I'm super sad with all this. I was super hyped ever since Jeff Grubb leaked it and this is what I got. I even upgraded my GPU mostly because of this game...

    And what's even worse is that the game came out officially on the 9th and there's hasn't been a single patch nor hotfix yet.

    I do not recommend this game on PC right now. Wait for patches to come. Till then, don't do it!    … Expand

    The game feels like forza horizon 4 with a new map. Cars are the same. GUI is the same. Bugs are the same. Graphics look extremely outdated, even when compared to NFS Heat. Trees and grass look like lowres sprites from 90s. There's no modern features, not even RTX.

    Запуск игры сопровождался тысячей и одной проблемой самого разного характера. Пробовал играть на своей топ пекарне, пробовал на иксбокс сексе, везде было куча косяков. Сейчас они чинят одни косяки, всплывают абсолютно другие. От игры получить удовольствие сегодня достаточно сложно.     Not going to give a long review. I normally dont write any BUT im effing mad about all the payed positive reviews this game has. It feels like a mobile game made for kids 4+. Great graphics. Boring gameplay...just more of the same. Feels like the gamr is meant to be played with all the assist on. Gg bb

    Trying to play forza with controller? Well sorry to say it won't work. To test I played forza 4 again and worked fine. It's absolutely poorly optimized with no signs of any patches or hot fixes. From the reviews it seems like people played a car game for the first time in their lives. I cannot be the only one who is experiencing these issues.

    Horrible game. If you get around the technical issues the game has and you can actually play, its a totally bland experience. If you know how FH4 played, you will get nothing new for your money. A new map and shiny reflections with lens flares is what you get.

    Well, as a big fan of the franchise I'm really disappointed with this opus, it's a copy / paste of FH 4 which is a copy / paste of FH 3, but with more bugs and useless crap.

    And the playground is boring...

Physics are still gooey, all cars feel like 20 ton machines. There's just something so not fun about this game. Try Grid 2 physics. It's so much fun.     Never played something so beautiful and fun in my life.
    The open work of this game is more realistic than any other game on the market, and in this case you moce around at 300km/h. Amazing.
    Can't believe the level of detail of this game. Must have.

    - Coop and online is still unplayable - full of glitches, lag and crashes lot more in coop too
    - for some reason every time game updates, or you update GPU driver it performse calibration for your HW and it takes minutes

    Absolutely amazing game! The gameplay in general is amazing, the graphic quality is awesome, no race game get even close to Forza Horizon 5, I play with gamepass in both Xbox Series S | X, no doubt one of the best racing games of all time.

    worse than its predecessors, reading content missing from the game that was already in previous titles and selling it as "new" content
    had a good foundation but a new game wasn't really necessary could've just updated the old one.

    It’s hard to feel the car weight in this game, it’s like a plastic toy. Open world is redundant, there is almost nothing to do in it.
    I see no point in having so many cars in this game, many of them differ only visually.
    Gameplay is boring, it has nothing special.
    Music is garbage.
    So it’s better to go play Grid again, which is probably the best racing game ever made.

    Horizon 5 is both a disappointment and also exactly what I expected.

    From technical standpoint, it is certainly one of the best games currently available. It looks great and it runs great as well, no crashes, no craziness, nothing too buggy, throwing the Bethesda excuse of "our map big, bugs fine because map big" out of the window. However, it also realizes the biggest fears I had    Horizon 5 is both a disappointment and also exactly what I expected.

    From technical standpoint, it is certainly one of the best games currently available. It looks great and it runs great as well, no crashes, no craziness, nothing too buggy, throwing the Bethesda excuse of "our map big, bugs fine because map big" out of the window.

    However, it also realizes the biggest fears I had coming from Horizon 4. It focuses on a couple spectacle events, but regular racing is even more sidelined, the event types, length, etc. are stagnant and it feel like playing Horizon 3 all over again. The progress and building out your collection is even more randomized this time, as you do not earn money from races anymore (as far as I know), and about 90% (by my guesstimate) of anything you get is through random rewards, which is, to me, extremely unsatisfying and unfair, most of the time. I called Horizon 4 a gacha game without microtransactions. Horizon 5 is the same game, but after a patch doubling gacha mechanics after the halfway point in the life of the game, when the publisher knows the game is dying, so they make a last great push to milk the whales dry. Except FH does not have actual microtransactions, as far as I know, at least for now. It certainly feels like they are trying to ready the playerbase for them though, normalizing lootbox rewards and then eventually just switching selling them for IRL money. To be clear, this is just my opinion, I do not have any verifiable information. Either way, the progression feels even worse than in FH4 which was already a repetitive chore with abysmal rewards for the time spent. FH5 is even worse, by a lot.

    The other parts of the gameplay loop, much like the regular races, are also stagnant - the AI is just as bad, except it is now a bit more rubber-bandy, the driving physics were changed a bit and some cars do feel better, but others have moved closer to the ocean liner steering of Forza Motorsport 7, the story is utter cringe, the characters are still San Franciso bicycle riding urbanites pretending to be car enthusiasts, now with the added benefit of a voiced protagonist who is about as relatable as clothing store mannequins - it has a vaguely human shape, and that's about it. The car sound is just as generic and bland as in previous two games. And so on.

    This game isn't even one step forward, two backwards. It's more like standing in place and awkwardly shuffling to the side for a bit, like when rain is falling and you are under a short roof, so you try to squeeze more onto the wall to avoid the last few raindrops still hitting your shoulder, except the wall is covered in some pretty nasty stuff.

    As a gamepass game, where you ignore the story and characters, entertain yourself with the flashy special events in "brain turned off, things go brrm brrm boom, cool" way, play through the races once or perhaps a couple times, to complete the "main campaign" it's okay. However, it has no place being in the AAA price range, and as a live-service game with long-term shelf life, it's terrible progression system and bland main gameplay loop put it squarely among the titans of live-service genre, such as Tom Clancy's Breakpoint.

    As a NFS substitute, 6/10. As a live service game where you actually want to do ALL the things, 3/10. EDIT: Never mind what I said about no technical issues, now the game randomly started taking 10+ minutes to load from an nvme SSD... 1/10    … Expand

What ive discovered - some secret place, which cannot be, browsed, deleted, where Forza Horizon 5 was installed. Congratulations i just thinked mostly IE or Pc/XBox game center was **** up. U beat every wrong practices records, and u will probably ruin every owned game studio.

    New review: Why are u killing good game?
    - new challenges - destroyed by for example "dodge demon" best for drag racing and dont tune it. U're kidding? There is no chance to win or there is some dumb acceleration system. Without good fast tuning system its dumb.
    - Im not playing month since new car perks arrived. Give something on exchange. Spending lost 500 perks is bad idea. It wasnst good moment for changes. They could been changed for example 10 cars per weak
    - still its uncomfortable to tune/filter cars. Its maybe IE5 standard, because its Microsoft.
    - there are better reflections maybe now
    - still unfixed player house car/wheels animation

    Better than Forza 4. More impressive graphics, better locations/map, comfortable roads, few fresh
    good ideas. Maybe less realistic or other wheel configuration than 4. Lot of the same problems.
    Problem 0: like 0nline. If online game would not be fixed i will change my mind and give this game 1/10. I'm not paying full price for game pass users. I hate Playstation and now could even more X-Box practices. As usual Microsoft is worse if we're talking about internet. Online is terrible and u use little force to use it with season events. Even if there will be less problems with connection, auctions, matches - matchmaking is also mostly terrible. Long waiting, wrong messages, disconnections, when connected after long time very wrong matchmaking balance, a specially once there was whole team with better car and next with weaker car. There is no game with so much online problems. Also u dont give a good chance to choose proper car. 30seconds - and terrible car list with only one tag. Even offline not tuned car same class has sometimes no chance with weaker cpu opponents. Should be at least 2 more tags or stars. Online matches looks much worse in this case.
    Minor problems:
    Problem 1: gifts - my rule is "catch them all" and u give me lot of gifts, lotteries, cars to get from achievements which should be sold to some AI. Euro Truck Sim 2 has better ideas, less expansive and more addicting. At middle of the game game chests are so boring. In Overwatch it was much earlier.
    Problem 2: wrong car difficulty balance and no tags.
    Problem 3: traction at race start - how it works? This game has most unclear start rules. Usually every car is faster tried maybe every option
    Problem 4: console like menus - too long animations, jumping between menus, sometimes unclear names of season events
    Problem 5: not enough preview options when searching car paint projects. I'm using usually hood view - and they are too pixelated.
    Problem 6 - auctions usually dont work and as usual i dont know if i have already some car
    Problem 7 - force feedback isnt turning off when im turning on menu
    Problem 8 - unactual - im using manual gearbox. Automatic gearbox could have manual reverse gear option.
    Problem 9 - screen text is sometimes in wrong place or in online match there is so big list - should be shown with some key
    Problem MsStore: installation with MsStore its so terrible - buggy. Game library and uninstall so hidden - but its not about the game. As for me with functionality MsStore is still behind Origin and maybe behind PsStore - they are at the end of my list. Maybe u need every player with x-box game pass or Steam.

    When the game works, its great. Unfortunately, it crashes constantly. I worked through every troubleshooting step as well as contacted support who were absolutely useless. 0/10 as a game must be playable to even make the scoreboard.

    27.03.22 Today it is very dissapointing. A LOT of bugs. Boring content. Much worse than FH4. They just added blur effect and better SSAO with horizontal lines on screen. There are no snow at all(except mountain). I love FH4 and played >200hours in it. FH5 is very raw now. Don't worth it's price.

    There is absolutely zero new stuff added when compared to FH4 or even FH3. The only thing that's different is the upgraded graphics and improved car sounds. Most of the cars drive the same with zero difference to the handling. The story is trash. It doesn't motivate the player to explore anything    This is a great driving experience with stunning visuals.

    The worst thing about this game is the progression system. In less than 5 hours of playing you can get a great car and loose all the motivation to unlock other cars.

    The map is diverse and in some places detailed but still really empty and it can get boring very quickly as it's not big.

    Forza Horizon 5 is not a great game. Stop giving it 10's and 9's only based on its looks.    … Expand

    In my opinion, the developers made the game to make the players suffer. Worst part of the series. There is no good optimization, management has become worse, a lot of things have been "cut out", and they spat in the face of every player.

    Soy game for those who don’t know what deodorant is. I advise all Forza players to take a shower and throw away the disc with this garbage. Worst racing game ever.

    The graphics, lighting and weather effects are some of the best we've seen in a racing game, but of course it's all about the cars. Although this is an arcade racer that does not focus on realism but rather on short and fast action, the cars behave truthfully and react differently whether you are driving on a track, on the street or off road. The controls have been kept simple, making the game accessible to just about anyone. Altogether, this makes Forza Horizon 5 the most fun racing game of the moment.

    I don't think there's a motoring enthusiast who won't be excited about Forza Horizon 5, with a slight caveat for those who have had their fill of Forza Horizon 4 and might want more of the same - though honestly, I can't imagine how the formula could be improved upon, which in the arcade driving department is bordering on perfection. It promises and delivers an incomparably customizable driving experience, with dream-cars, in breathtaking landscapes.
