    I like race games in a an open world. This game does that. The seasons are a nice extra that make the gam,e even better. There are many great cars available. The game has still some drawbacks. I play it with Game Pass, but I do get endless advertising to buy extra content for high costs. I dont think that this is what gamepass should be. Other drawbacks are that you cant change the seasons yourself, not even after completing the campaign. An open world game should give you such freedom. There are also to less afforabele houses availalble. Therefor you always start at the same location and it takes a long time to reach the other races north on the map. Finally there are to many manu's where you have to click through. That takes away the flow / gameplay a bit.… Expand

    Great open world racing game. Better than FH3, which I would give only 8.0 out of 10, because of the technical issues I had with it. FH4 is a great game that any racing game enthusiast should check out.
    - Even better driving physics than in FH3, more refined, different season and different road conditions wet, dirt, snow, ice etc etc.
    - More interesting cars from in Standard edition. A    Great open world racing game. Better than FH3, which I would give only 8.0 out of 10, because of the technical issues I had with it. FH4 is a great game that any racing game enthusiast should check out.
    - Even better driving physics than in FH3, more refined, different season and different road conditions wet, dirt, snow, ice etc etc.
    - More interesting cars from in Standard edition. A lot of cars to choose from.
    - Credit balance seems to be tighter, so you actually care about earning credits with different races.
    - Beautiful world, more variety than the last game.
    - Great performance on medium level gaming PC Ultra high setting on FHD screen. 4 core intel 12GB RAM GTX1060.
    - Racing events are more refined, better tracks.

    Ничего лучше среди аркадных гонок для ПК просто нет, от слова совсем. Любые сравнения с ралийными и трэковыми симуляторами не уместно. Это чистая аркада. Ближайший конкурент в лице NFS выглядит на фоне FH 4 полным шлаком. Решение выпустить игру в Steam однозначно повысит интерес к сервисам и консоли x-boxНичего лучше среди аркадных гонок для ПК просто нет, от слова совсем.     It's the most fun I've had with a racing game since Gran Turismo 4. Racing games these days are either too focused on track racing or being realistic. Forza Horizon 4 balances arcade racing with realism, adds in old RPG-elements similar to old Gran Turismo games, and lets you drive around a big world. Basically think of it like GTA5, expect with more focus on driving.

    One of the best arcade racing games of modern time, along with the previous part: excellent graphics, wonderful music and solid physics. Annoying add-on ads and things falling out of roulette.

    I'm playing this on a Win 10 PC with an Xbox controller. I love this game, it's loads of fun. It's not perfect; it's a bit buggy at times, unlocking all on Treasure Island can be a bit of an unnecessary grind, and there's other minor annoyances - but it looks great on 1440p, has plenty of cars to choose from and is a great game to get lost in and have a laugh.

    Forza Horizon 4 is an excellent game, the UK countryside is beautiful, the dynamic seasons are a nice change, and the 450+ cars are all awesome... but this game has a couple drawbacks.

    The way they brought the UK countryside to life is brilliant and I absolutely love exploring the massive open worlds that playground creates and the addition of seasons brings a nice dynamic change to both visuals and difficulty.

    With 450+ cars with full details and interiors, this racing game is ahead of all competitors in that respect, unless you are a fan of Toyota cars as they have still not been able to include those vehicles in the game. Though it was great to see they were able to get Mitsubishi back in to the game for those WRX vs Evo battles.

    The online community has never been great in most racing games, and without any sort of punitive system like Gran Turismo's penalties and sportsmanship ranking, it won't get better any time soon.

    The progression in the game is poor to me because while you start out with a lower tier vehicle, the game will have you in a high end monster within the first couple hours as it will throw it's 450 vehicles at you every chance it gets. It seems like everyone has an exotic at level 10, and game progression is basically lost at that point in favour of collection, and having a wheelspin rewarding mechanic makes this even worse.

    Also, feel free to ignore the cringey characters, dialogue, cutscenes, awkward pop culture references, subpar and short soundtrack, and emotes from other players as I do. It is also important to mention that to get the full game experience... you should buy the ultimate edition, which comes at a price premium sadly.

    + Dynamic seasons are a great addition
    + Seamless cross-play with Xbox friends
    + Fun co-op story mode
    + Endless content

    - Online racing is still terrible
    - No real sense of progression
    - Wheelspin is a terrible reward system
    - Microsoft Store launching can be problematic
    - Full content requires Ultimate Edition purchase

    Overall, Horizon 4 is an excellent instalment and still worth the premium purchase price on PC, the game is a solid 8/10.    … Expand

    El mejor juego de autos que jugué. Lo compre por 1100 pesos argentinos(la edicion más cara) en oferta, pero merece la pena totalmente pagar los 2200 pesos actuales sin oferta por la mejor edición. Le doy un 9 por ser racional pero tranquilamente se le puede dar un 10.

    Pretty, some fun driving about, but it's not really a racing game. When you do get into a good race, like around Edinburgh town centre, it's great, but otherwise it's a lot of annoying voiceovers and milling about on hills and cars that handle really badly.

    Great game, plenty of varied races. I love the new array of cars and the new customisation options. The only thing I have to comment on is the fact that the multiplayer does seem a bit common and dull, you cannot hit into other players in free roam and some of it just doesn't feel right. However they have changed the whole game world with the new seasons and it really does change the wayGreat game, plenty of varied races.     Странно, что сначала предполагалось что The Crew 2 будет лучше форзы. Но, наоборот. Forza Horizon 4 можно дать игру года в плане гонок

    I've given it an 8/10 because I genuinely enjoy playing it. The visuals are crisp, the handling model is considerably challenging, yet fun and forgiving, the world is more alive, there's customization (not many, but improved than the previous series). The reason to not give it a 10/10 for this game are as follows:

    1. Hard to party up and stay partied with friends 2. You will get bored    I've given it an 8/10 because I genuinely enjoy playing it. The visuals are crisp, the handling model is considerably challenging, yet fun and forgiving, the world is more alive, there's customization (not many, but improved than the previous series). The reason to not give it a 10/10 for this game are as follows:

    1. Hard to party up and stay partied with friends
    2. You will get bored pretty fast if you don't know what to do next
    3. Really long queue time for ranked and sometimes for unranked matches
    4. Layers on some if not most of the cars for customizing are horrible (vinyl, stickers, etc)
    5. Almost impossible to import a saved wrap from previous title (amazingly long wait time)

    I don't think I will change my rating until the problem addressed above is dealt with

    TL;DR If you're a fan of the arcade to the sim-arcade styled racing game, I highly recommend buy or at least try the game. Who knows, maybe it'll be your money's worth and be a fan of the series    … Expand

    Good support over the years with new cars and events.
    There are some UI issues, but still the best arcade racing game of this generation.

    Me ha encantado, en este juego no hay trazada mala, en todo momento sientes que te estas divirtiendo, sobretodo con las carreras contra otras cosas q no sean coches, normal q se llevara el premio al mejor juego de conduccion de 2018, nadie le hace frente a Forza. Esta muy bien optimizado.

    great game that will eat up many free time hours doing solo or banging it out with friends.
    lots & LOTS of cars but some you may never get cause of wheel spins.
    things i don't care for is the clothing & dancing BS.
    Oh, almost forgot how i HATE you can't sell your extra cars like in forza motorsport, you're forced to auction or delete which is TOTALLY BS !

    Fun, avec son côté arcade où toutes les conduites sont récompensées (idéal, pour quelqu'un comme moi qui n'est qu'un piètre pilote !) par des points / de l'argent / des achievments.
    Je l'ai joué au clavier, puis ensuite au volant.
    Graphiquement, c'est un plaisir à parcourir. Le jeu est fluide, très bien optimisé.     Je n'avais jamais fait de Horizon avant, et je ne suis pas grand fan des jeux de courses ; pour autant ce Forza m'a conquis, et me fait régulièrement lancer le jeu pour m'y ballader en "casu de la route" et en y prenant beaucoup de plaisir.

    Le côté monde ouvert avec sa vaste carte est appréciable, les fonctions comme "acheter une maison" et collectionner des voitures m'a rappelé Test Drive Unlimited. C'est agréable de ne pas être cantonné à ne devoir QUE faire des courses non stop, la conduite est aussi un plaisir de ballade et ce F.H l'a bien compris    … Expand

    I understand that this game has a lot of fans. But for me, single-player gamer predominantly, the campaign was just not that much fun. Played it for few hours, I had 2 go's at it, but dropped it quite quickly.

    While single player is quite decent multiplayer (ranked) is broken and too frustrating:
    1. U can not vote for type of race (off-road, street, etc)
    2. Physics is completely ruined, somehow wallhugging is more profitable than clean driving.
    3. No penalties for mess on the road - u can be ramed by others.
    4. Trash free-roam races.

    Its a great game. The world is beautiful and i love take the road only to make a "car trip". The radio are great too. All i want in a driving game i found in this!

    Após 200h de gameplay, há muitas coisas a comentar. Forza Horizon 4 executa diversos aspectos com maestria, mas leva outro de maneiras mediocres, o que o separa mais ainda da possivel perfeição. Meu jogo preferido da franquia é o Horizon 3, que apesar de pecar em diversos aspectos, tem algo quer o FH4 falhou em    Definição: Melhor jogo de corrida atual, mas poderia ser bem melhor.

    Após 200h de gameplay, há muitas coisas a comentar. Forza Horizon 4 executa diversos aspectos com maestria, mas leva outro de maneiras mediocres, o que o separa mais ainda da possivel perfeição.

    Meu jogo preferido da franquia é o Horizon 3, que apesar de pecar em diversos aspectos, tem algo quer o FH4 falhou em entregar: Atmosfera.
    Eu entendi a ideia da Playground: "Um jogo no qual o festival nunca acaba" eu gostei muito disso, o problema foi a implementação. O mapa é lindissimo, mas não entrega a atmosfera Horizon que o 3 entregava. Ele é lindo e extenso, mas peca na diversidade - mesmo que o mapa mude por completo nas temporadas.

    A trilha sonora é excelente, talvez a melhor num jogo de corrida. Os graficos são estonteantes, principalmente se está a jogar num Xbox One X, ou PC, como no meu caso. A jogabilidade/fisica do jogo foram claramente aprimorados, apesar de não ser um salto tão notavel, assim como no FM7.

    A nova ferramenta de criação de pistas da uma otima sobrevida ao jogo, e os eventos são legais, apesar de, infelizmente, seguirem a temporada atual no game.

    Enfim, o que separou FH4 da perfeição foram certos aspectos retidados que apenas acressentariam no game. Que em 2021, quando o proximo Horizon viem, tais erros sejam nada mais que passado.    … Expand

    No matter what I do, game just does not start and crashes on startup.
    I have a nearly top PC, latest Windows 10, latest nVidia drivers. Web is full of workarounds of how to fix Forza Horizon 4 crashes. I see that I have no conflicting software. But even if I would: I paid money for the game, made by Microsoft for Microsoft operating system.    Bought a Steam version of this game.
    No matter what I do, game just does not start and crashes on startup.
    I have a nearly top PC, latest Windows 10, latest nVidia drivers.

    Web is full of workarounds of how to fix Forza Horizon 4 crashes.
    I see that I have no conflicting software.

    Good graphics. Pleasant sounds made by vehicles. Decent music is on the radio too. It's very good to be open about what you can do, because you choose what races you want to play at the moment. The amount of activity makes it the best racing game you can play is Forza Horizon.

    I really wanted to like Horizon 4, but the game has been neutered to the point where it doesn't even seem aimed at fans of the racing game genre anymore. Roads around the UK are widened to a cartoonish extent ensuring even the most braindead of drivers can blast around without crashing, the game throws copious amounts of cars and cash at you for seemingly insignificant achievements, andI really wanted to like Horizon 4, but the game has been neutered to the point where it doesn't even seem aimed at fans of the racing game genre anymore. Roads around the UK are widened to a cartoonish extent ensuring even the most braindead of drivers can blast around without crashing, the game throws copious amounts of cars and cash at you for seemingly insignificant achievements, and the numerous characters you meet around the world are generally annoying. Furthermore, the inclusion of elements that have nothing to do with racing games - battle royale mode, prize spins, and Fortnite dances - are cringey and off-putting. Gone are the days of Forza being the major racing game on Microsoft platforms; the series has hit a bizarre crossroads in which Turn10 try and cram as many concepts that worked in other games, into an open-world racing game and just sort of hope they work.     The world of Forza Horizon 4 is massive and that helps sell the game because of being one of the most beautiful Open World Racing Games out there..
    The Driving is well done with different level of difficulty and better rewards for people who select the higher difficulty..
    But sometimes the open world and a lot of things to do does feel overwhelming and sometimes tedious.. Other than    The world of Forza Horizon 4 is massive and that helps sell the game because of being one of the most beautiful Open World Racing Games out there..
    The Driving is well done with different level of difficulty and better rewards for people who select the higher difficulty..
    But sometimes the open world and a lot of things to do does feel overwhelming and sometimes tedious..

    I'm really glad I purchased this game. The car list is incredible, the map is fun to play on, the graphics are beautiful, and the cars feel great to drive.

    Pros -expansive car list -good map -cool "showcase" events -fun multiplayer -great competitive scene on Discord servers(Hoki Hoshi for me, personally) -tons of stuff to do -fantastic amount of tuning ability, I've never played    I'm really glad I purchased this game.     -Extensively long tutorial; which keeps you in single player until it's complete
    -Cars could use some more cosmetic customization. Many cars only have 1-2 spoilers, body kits etc.
    -some of the balance in the Rivals mode is off. They claim to be fixing it come next patch by banning certain cars that just dominate races. We'll see.    … Expand

Races are aimed at creating tight, balanced races that are fun no matter what vehicle you drive, and it does this well. It's fun to just jump in a random race you find.
    There is a lot of depth to the game, multiple race disciplines keep things interesting and all are genuinely fun. If you get bored of one discipline you can jump in another and get the hang of it really quickly. It doesn't force you through awkward drifting mini-games or shift orientated drag races.
    Graphically the game is stunning. There is no other word, the cars and environments are photo-realistic. Set any screenshot as my desktop background and I wouldn't even suspect it wasn't the Lake District. The cars themselves look fantastic, lighting is done very well.
    The seasons mechanics is one of the main attractions to Forza Horizon 4 and have to say it is an interesting one. Certain driving disciplines are more tailored to different seasons, so Winter is good for dirt for example, and Summer more for road racing, and that can get frustrating if you want to change seasons. Seasons are locked to the servers, meaning every week they change, you can't change them in game by moving ahead seasons for example. Each season though does look amazing in it's own way, and adds diversity to game campaign.
    The long game though is predictably more tailored towards casual gamers. It can be easy to get a big roster of cars without actually having bought one yourself. In this way the game can be easy if you're more of a simulation racer, but Forza Horizon 4 isn't trying to be.

Unimpressive and inconsistent car performance, how can some Shelby or Ferrari cars be faster than koenigsegg cars? How can an extreme offroad vehicle accelerate as fast as an hypercar in any situation? most of the time it is pointless to choose a particular car for a particular task, they all will do the job so that the cars are just a nice geometry with paint. If this game where a type of music, it would be pop music, designed to appeal to the majority of likes. I would prefer to play a "heavy metal" game instead. May be you can enjoy FH4, just not my car game.

    Ben assortita la mappa, forse avrei preferito più paesaggi urbani visto che a parte Edimburgo e qualche piccolo borgo non ci sono strade cittadine.

    STORIA:
    Semplicemente non c'è, o meglio, c'è ma divisa in tantissime piccole storie senza un reale scopo.
    Secondo me questo è uno degli aspetti più dolenti del gioco perchè obbliga a giocare online per non rendere il gioco monotono e noioso (che comunque non fa del suo meglio per evitare che questo accada).
    Le innumerevoli attività che fungono da storia in realtà sono solo una successione di prove che seguono un filone (prove di stunt, documentari, esperimenti...), senza creare quindi pathos e senza far immedesimare nella storia.
    Sono sicuramente molto divertenti e realizzate molto bene, ma da sole non bastano a tenerti incollato al gioco.

    GAMEPLAY:
    Estremo realismo reso divertente anche per i casual gamer. Ogni veicolo è diverso e la guida non è immediata come ad esempio nei Need for Speed, ma dopo poco si capisce come funziona e si inizia a divertirsi.
    La personalizzazione estetica dei veicoli potrebbe essere maggiore (aerografie a parte, che grazie alla community è possibile scaricarne di bellissime), il che creerebbe più varietà, ma capisco che essendo presenti centinaia di veicoli non sia un lavoro facile.

    Per quanto riguarda le gare ce ne sono davvero di ogni tipo: su sterrato, cross country, in strada, prove di abilità, gare di drift, mini-sfide sparse per la mappa e persino la Battle Royale.
    Il problema secondo me è che queste innumerevoli gare non sono ben supportate da un sistema di matchmaking valido, spesso macchinoso e che porta a fare gare con pochi partecipanti oppure gare casuali senza poter dare preferenze.
    Inoltre, per quanto io non sia un fan dei risvolti da action movie dei giochi di corse, penso che l'inserimento ad esempio della polizia (visto che le gare notturne sono definite "corse clandestine") avrebbe potuto rendere il gioco ancora più interessante e avrebbe permesso di creare anche nuove modalità di gioco, diverse dalle classiche corse (che qui sono presenti in ogni sfaccettatura, ma sono pur sempre semplici corse).
    Da questo punto di vista trovo superiore Need for Speed Heat (anche qui c'è un festival ufficiale, oltre alle corse clandestine), che ha sì meno assortimento di gare, ma quelle che ci sono si differiscono abbastanza da non far sembrare ripetitivo il gioco.
    In Forza Horizon 4 è geniale la gara "scatto guida libera", che però è estremamente imprevedibile e infatti è odiata da molti giocatori, il resto è estremamente classico.

    Infine penso che, vista l'enorme possibilità di personalizzare il proprio personaggio, sarebbe stata interessante l'aggiunta di qualche punto di ritrovo e attività per i personaggi senza l'uso di veicoli (ad esempio in Test Drive Unlimited 2 erano presenti i concessionari delle auto, il casinò e altri negozi in cui potevi entrare a piedi).

    CONCLUSIONI: Gioco vastissimo e realizzato in maniera perfetta, adatto agli appassionati dei giochi di corse ma che strizza l'occhio anche ai casual gamer come molti elementi che portano al puro divertimento, ma che pecca nella poca reale varietà di gameplay.

    Good racing game, well made map great driving, awesome single player. But multiplayer is a disaster, freedom rush is luck based race witch makes no sense. It exists only in rally and offroad events but in rally, offroaders and extreme offroaders have too much advantage because of it.

Maybe in total I played something like 25-30 hours and I barely can say I scratched the surface. It feels like Forza Horizon 4 is a bottomless well with limitless opportunities and ways to entertain yourself for hundreds(!) of hours. It is like World of Warcraft but with cars.
    I would like to praise the optimization: it runs butter-like smooth on ULTRA (even with MSAA x8) on GTX 1660. I didn’t experience any crashes or glitches throughout the whole experience. I don’t wanna say much about the graphics because it is already a well known fact: Forza Horizon 4 looks gorgeous and sometimes you think that it is looks TOO good to a point when it becomes distractive 
    What I didn’t like is the soundtrack. It really feels uninspired and too general-public oriented. It is the kind of music no one would hate on but also no one will fell in love with it. Eventually I didn’t manage to find a single radio station I would be satisfied with.
    My final thoughts are these: Forza Horizon 4 feels like an ultimate racing game. What do I mean by that? I mean, I don’t see any point for ANYONE (especially for Playground Games) to develop and publish a new racing game in the next 5 years – here it is, Forza Horizon 4, near perfect racing game which I’m sure will remain its crown as the best racing game for really looong time before a better racing game comes out what I can’t even imagine.    … Expand

    4. You can't have all of the cars
    Most of the cars in forza can be obtained normally, but some of them you need to buy a gamepass, to obtain them, witch defeats the whole purpose of collecting them and using them.    … Expand

    Graphically one of the best games I’ve ever played, the AIs are not effected when off-roading so while you’re being spun out the AI just cruises through. Which leads to some very frustrating moments while playing. I love the Top Gear missions and The Halo crossover mission was really awesome

    Es un juego facil de recomendar, de los mejor que hay en su categoria y principalmente fiel a su estilo. LOS COCHES: son excelentes, tenes autos para tirar al techo, muchisima variedad, y que va creciendo semana tras semana, a pesar de que hay ciertos autos que solo estan disponibles en el Game Pass, no son muchos.     Es un juego facil de recomendar, de los mejor que hay en su categoria y principalmente fiel a su estilo.

    LOS COCHES: son excelentes, tenes autos para tirar al techo, muchisima variedad, y que va creciendo semana tras semana, a pesar de que hay ciertos autos que solo estan disponibles en el Game Pass, no son muchos. Me parece perfecto que reciclen autos de juegos anteriores y que a la vez los "remastericen" y adapten la calidad de ellos a las exigencias actuales. Inclusive se les puede abrir el baul, el motor, el interior y apreciar todos los detalles que a pesar de que no esten muy bien definidos, tienen como 1000 autos y que ya se les pueda abrir el interior, se me hace un gran logro.
    EL MAPA: Es excelente, no es muy grande pero aca Turn 10 decidio priorizar la calidad antes que la cantidad por lo que el mapa esta muy bien detallado, con muchisima vida, bastante trafico. Tambien el mapa cambia segun la temporada, agregando nuevos eventos y cambiando drasticamente el color, ciertas locaciones, texturas del mapa, parece otro.
    LA JUGABILIDAD: Se me hace correcta, en mi caso lo jugue con un Logitech G29 que al ser de Play Station no esta bien implementado los botones por lo que lo detecta como un volante generico, es un juego pensado para jugar con joystick, y con volante se siente bien la experiencia, tuve que acortarle el radio de giro porque si no se complicada bastante girar pero ya son detalles. El sistema de leveleo es muy bueno, facil de entender, sencillo.
    LA MUSICA: Es excelente, la radio que tiene es muy buena, despues de varias horas si se vuelve repetitivo pero las canciones son buenisimas.
    LOS GRAFICOS: son IMPRESIONANTES, es el juego en que te confundis con la vida real de tanto realismo que tiene, se lo msotre a varios amigos y muchos se confundieron. Las texturas son increibles, ver como se ensucian los autos tambien es otro nivel. La lluvia se me muy muy bien, siendo el punto mas flojo la lluvia sobre el parabrisas que no se ve muy bien lograda.

    Tuve solo 2 inconvenientes con este juego

    El primero y siendo casi mas un problema personal son los tiempos de carga, lo instale en un HDD de 1Tb y tarda bastante, pensando que la Xbox One tambien tiene un disco rigido, uno pensaria que esta mas optimizado pero no es asi. Recomiendo instalarlo en un SSD.

    El segundo problema siendo la razon por la cual no tiene una calificacion perfecta y son los problemas de conexion que tiene, me costo muchisimo unirme a salas de amigos, y que en la mitad de la partida al juego se le antoje expulsar a alguien, o problemas de lag. Y eso que tengo una muy buena internet y lo jugue con el cable RJ45 conectado.    … Expand

    I lose myself in an automotive fantasy world driving a plethora of dream cars around a luscious beautiful interpretation of the United Kingdom on the regular. Definitely the Horizon series highlight so far, even though the previous titles    I absolutely adore this game. Been playing a year and a half, and continuously come back to it, almost every week to unlock the newly released cars.

    I lose myself in an automotive fantasy world driving a plethora of dream cars around a luscious beautiful interpretation of the United Kingdom on the regular. Definitely the Horizon series highlight so far, even though the previous titles were amazing too, and may well be my favourite Forza title ever.

    The Plot of FH4 is pure and unadulterated cringe. It makes me feel ashamed to play this game. You basically play as a Race Driver/Influencer and the world is seemingly welcoming you absolutely trashing the countryside and reward you with real estate and vintage cars. If they cut this crap the game would be less obnoxious. If this isn't too bad for you, as others pointed out there is unskippable blabber every once in a while. I hated basically every aspect of my character and the story.

    I couldn't believe my **** eyes when I first encountered the Wheel Spin. Yes, you basically unlock your in-game stuff through a microtransaction-lootbox. And naturally the game teases it's marketplace everytime it can. It seems like they pulled a total Ubisoft: Cut out content from the last game and try to get the chumps to pay extra this time.

    BUT: i still had fun though, the game is absolutely gorgeous and there are a LOT of cars to unlock (grind or pay up ofc). The very detailed car customization was probably my favorite part and the race events basically let you choose which car you and your opponents respectively will drive.

    Also the voice-over called me by my real name when i first started the game. Never do that! It's creepy. Why would you even choose to do so?

    Technically a good game marred by exec greed like we see in other games, which is embarassing to have in an exclusive, 'showcase' game

    Edit: As pretty as this game looks, the cars sound underwhelming but not game breaking. Might piss off some car enthusiast (which i am definitely not) but it is not a biggie for me just a bit 'meh'.

    While its a fun game with great graphics, cars & location. Network issues plague this game. You get constantly disconnected and worst bit is when you're at the point of winning races you get disconnected and waste all your efforts. its frustrating to the point of throwing your keyboard. A waste of $100.

    First the graphics, love the quality, i play on medium setting on my i5-7300HQ and GTX 1050 and got stable 60fps which is really good. Second, really loved the open world and the seasonal change, giving more variety in the gameplay. Third, the car handling. The handling are balanced between realism    This is probaly the best racing game i play for so long, let me tell you what i like.

    I've been never more disappointed with a game before. I've bought the game at release for €60 and would have given 10/10. Everything was great, the cars, the gameplay, etc.. But the game is literally unplayable at the moment.

    First i couldn't get in the game because of a crash issue, that could not be fixed. Then i had to delete my save files to even get in to the game.     It is really a shame to say this, but don't buy the game. I've spend more time looking for fixes, then playing the game. And that for a 60€ game, is just ridicules.    … Expand

    Even the gameplay is a big upgrade from the previous Horizon games and the car list is HUGE.
    I love    I have over 500 hours on this game and I have to say it's one of my favorite racing games that I have ever played.     Even the gameplay is a big upgrade from the previous Horizon games and the car list is HUGE.
    I love every aspect of this game except the car sounds, car customization, and the events, or lack thereof...
    The events and races are fun for the first few hours of playing but they slowly get boring and repetitive. Every event is really similar, a bit of asphalt and some dirt, maybe a jump here and there but nothing really exciting that will put you on the edge of your seat. Quite a few times it won't even matter which event you choose (apart from not being able to use a certain car type) because if you choose a road race you will probably be driving on gravel and dirt as well. So this is a big issue for me because if I choose my 1400 horsepower Bugatti Chiron for a road race I don't want to find myself drifting on a gravel road in my 2.5 million dollar car.
    Now one of my biggest issues with the game, something that bothers me the most is the car sounds.
    I can't tell you enough how much this bothers me.
    Almost every AMG car sounds the same. There are 4 different Bugatti cars in the game, 3 of those use the same sound. A big portion of the Porches uses the same sound as well as a lot of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Audis.
    And when you swap out an engine for a V12 it's absolutely horrible. The sound sounds like autotune, the V12 engine sounds so computer generated and not even remotely realistic.
    Personally, I feel that the game that got the sounds just right was The Crew 2, but that game is nothing compared to Forza Horizon 4 when we look at gameplay and overall detail.
    My third issue with this game is car customization.
    80% of the cars in this game have only 2 customization options, Forza front bumper with a BIG UGLY TOW HOOK that you can't remove and an ugly Forza spoiler that never looks good on most cars.
    The other 20% of cars will have a few body kits or some different bumpers which I actually like but the body kits are usually Liberty Walk or Rocket Bunny.
    A feature that I would like to see in this game is that you could sell your cars from your garage for the listed price below the car.
    Because now the only way to sell a car is to sell it in the auction house or sell a duplicate when you get it in a wheel spin.
    With this lack of selling options, you are left with a garage full of boring cars you will never use because if you list one of these useless cars in the auction house for 10,000 credits nobody will buy it because in most cases people are trying to get rid of those cars as well.
    I wish the developers would add more fun and rare cars to play around with because the game is getting a bit boring.
    For the last year, all I've been doing in this game is, check the festival playlist, complete enough challenges to get to 80% of this seasons playlist so I can get the two "rare" cars and then sell them for a few million in the auction house, every season is the same, complete challenges to earn cars and do it again for the next season and the next season and the next and the next.
    It's getting repetitive and boring. I would love to do something else in this game but to be honest, after finding all the influence and fast travel boards, after completing the whole Fortune Island DLC, after completing the whole LEGO DLC, that's the only thing that's left, the festival playlist.
    I could go and do races and other events but it's literally the same as doing festival playlist challenges except without getting any rewards apart from a few thousand credits.
    I really hope that the developers plan on releasing Forza Horizon 5 in 2021 because if they keep milking Forza Horizon 4 they will lose a bit part of the players because the game is just boring at this point if you have put in over a few hundred hours.
    So to wrap it all up this a great racing game that has taken a more "arcade" turn.
    The game has big issues but unless you plan on putting hundreds of hours into this game It should be fine and entertaining.
    The game lacks any kind of story apart from a few events that don't really do much.
    If you want to get a bit more fun out of this game I would recommend purchasing the Fortune Island DLC and the LEGO Speed Champions DLC and all the other car packs/car passes.
    I would recommend you wait for a sale and definitely don't buy it full price.
    I would recommend buying it on Instant Gaming and getting a game code that you can redeem and the price is lower and more appropriate for the experience that you get in this game.

Playing at ultra graphics settings with my well aged PC. Optimization is good but switching from race screen to cinematics there's a small freezing. Overall satisfied with    Quite fun.     Forza Horizon 4 is a very fun game with a lots of cars to collect and with decent driving model and a map that offers it all, from tight city streets, through a long highway to muddy rural side roads. It is, however, also a grindy slog with limited amount of race tracks, very simplistic singleplayer AI and a lot of half-baked features. Personally, I love cars and they are my hobby, so IForza Horizon 4 is a very fun game with a lots of cars to collect and with decent driving model and a map that offers it all, from tight city streets, through a long highway to muddy rural side roads. It is, however, also a grindy slog with limited amount of race tracks, very simplistic singleplayer AI and a lot of half-baked features. Personally, I love cars and they are my hobby, so I have forgiven a lot, and honestly, as a casual player, who just wants to win the main races, you'll have a fun couple hours. If you want to delve deeper and perhaps collect all cars, unlock all content, etc. you'll be facing some pretty frustrating roadblocks.

    Performance and technical bugs:
    - the game is very well optimized and runs great, I got about 105 FPS on average in 4k at max
    - it crashes randomly, no matter the location, whether in race or freeroam, full speed or standing still, the game will just freeze and then crash after a second or two

    Graphics:
    - the game looks great, the car models, the environment, the particle effects, all of it looks amazing
    - the game changes seasons, and all of them are done very well

    Sound:
    - music is fantastic, though there's not too many of them, and the songs cut off at weird points, the DJs are pretty good as well
    - engine sounds are kinda generic, but this is pretty much a Forza thing, there's too many cars to get proper sounds, I guess
    - voiceacting is alright

    Story/characters
    - what is not alright are the characters, most of them are not written very well, they feel like san francisco dwelling, bicycle riding urbanites who wanted to impress someone and so they have read a bunch of wikipedia articles about random cars so they could try and fake an interest in them. Needles to say, it does not quite work.
    - there's a bit of a shallow story about becoming a racing star, but it has no bearing on the gameplay, it's just a couple low cost "cut-scenes" that are mostly just showing the map while a character drops a line or two

    Gameplay:
    - as mentioned, the driving model is pretty good - on the arcadey side, though it can be tweaked a bit to make it more challenging by turning of ABS and such, though I don't think it can quite be said it becomes more "realistic" that way
    - there's a lot of cars to collect, some 750-800 pieces
    - the progression is really grindy in regards to money / credits
    - most of the progression is handled through randomized rewards which feel like someone wanted to sell lootboxes, but then got scared of backlash so removed the option to buy them with IRL cash, but this means that progression is very uneven and does not feel good, and building up a well rounded garage is also more of a problem since you will mostly get cars that you do not need, not to mention the game did not have an option to sell duplicate cars for a loooooong time
    - compared to the amount of cars and the grind required to get them, there's not enough tracks. What is in the game is pretty good, you get your short technical circuits, long tracks through the country side, etc. But all of them will eventually become boring as you drive hours upon hours on them
    - the game has a track editor, but it is kinda barebones and instead of "painting" the track, you drive your car and place checkpoints, which is dumb AF to be honest, as the way you drive determines the "best line" and also the line which the bots follow to the dot - so the editor is mostly used to build exploit tracks for easy credit grind
    - as mentioned, the AI is dumb, it just follows the "best line" in a train, very little awareness of anything, resulting in some stupid crashes at times
    - unless you are really into collecting cars, there's no real point in playing the game past completing the mainline races, all you'll get is a lot of grind for little reward
    - your car collection is only in Horizon 4, despite the fact that the next game(s) will contain them, you will have to regrind them again, making the grind even more pointless
    - drag racing is really undercooked in the game, drifting also feels a bit tacked-on
    - there are some vehicle categories which feel pretty empty and underutilized
    - some other minor attempts at different race types / events that went nowhere because the devs kinda always just decided to try something new, but were overly cautious and did not commit enough resources, so the result was underwhelming and did not take off, thus halting future development, the only exception being the battle royale mode - Eliminator - which I honestly did not like much
    - personally I also hated the inclusion of Lego and Hot wheels cars, which cannot be removed / turned off

    It's a fun racing game for a casual player, and a decent playground for someone trying to "catch them all", but the overly grindy, very randomized progression and some other issues - both technical and game design choices made - drag the game down.     Like any other Forza Horizon, the fourth entry in the series is a good game, with the majority of the things in-game being well above average, but they completely messed up in the single player campaign mode. So basically, there's no story whatsoever, the characters are unmemorable, you race for the seek of racing and after the the seasons introduction and the game starts to be f*cking repetitive, having seasonal playlists that gives you exclusive cars that cannot be bought in the showroom by winning championships. It's not terrible, the events ain't bad, but it's way too repetitive.

    Not everything is bad though, the map is GORGEOUS, with beautiful landmarks and the main city, Edinburgh, is such a nice place to cruise around and race. However, after a while this map feels kinda blend, especially due to having only one Horizon Festival that is very forgettable and also because there are way too many forests. It's not bad, but it kinda ruins the experience after a while

    The car list is massive, providing an amazing variety of cars (730 to be more specific). Each vehicle has its own handling model and customization options, that can be either performance or cosmetic related. In this regard, there's almost no criticism, except the the game encourages you to make, for almost every car, the goddamn AWD drivetrain swap that generally ruins some cars handling, making them overpowered. This point can simply be avoided by NOT USING IT (at least the option is there).

    The driving is amazing, the handling model is perfect, being mostly arcade with some simulation elements. It feels responsive, with each car having a different behavior and is by far, the strongest point of the game.

    Even though being quite repetitive due to the seasonal playlists, the racing events are well designed, being varied between tarmac and off-road racing. The biggest problem in this case is actually the AI, called drivatars, invented by satan to either be beaten in the first corner or, when in the invict difficulty, rubberband miles away from you, making the races sometimes feel like an actual pain in the a$$.

    The online experience is frustrating, even though the servers are not that bad, but the players seem not to know how to break before cornering, take decent racing lines or simply DRIVE WITHOUT TRYING TO KILL YOU. It's very very bad. The most enjoyable online mode is The Eliminator, that is actually great and surprisingly fun to play.

    Another Horizon staple is the soundtrack and, with no surprise, it's not as good as Horizon 1's, but nonetheless it's great, providing a nice variety of songs in each one of the 4 radio stations.

    After all that said: is it worth playing? Sure, especially if you have Game Pass. This game is solid, nailing *most* of the essential aspects of a racing game, providing an amazing driving experience, in a beautifully crafted map with tons of events to do. What actually kills this game is its repetitiveness on singleplayer, certainly being its major flaw. Hopefully, Playground Game will learn their lesson in this regard with the upcoming title, Forza Horizon 5. For now, the fourth entry is just a (Scottish) rock solid 7/10.    … Expand

    Awful start on PC, but it still a good racing game. It's really game, where you can just satisfying and enjoy by atmosphere of celebration with cars for any type of taste.

    Its Forza Horizon 3, but more! Only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because I feel that the map is not as interesting as in Horizon 3.

    After a bit too conservative Forza Horizon 3, which was just an improved second Horizon, the latest game in the series easily exceeded my expectations. Its world is enormous and full of various activities (including seasonal events), the driving model is exceptional both on and off road, there are over 450 varied cars and the PC version is spectacular. All that makes Forza Horizon 4 the best open world racing game I have ever played. [12/2018, p.66]

    With the implementation of seasons and a new location, this installment in the series make for a wonderful, fulfilling racing experience, although it has a few minor bugs that need fixing.

    Playground Games newest addition to the open world racing genre is everything you can expect from a game that belongs to the Forza family. It’s easy to learn due its granular design, yet it provides deep tuning tools for the connoisseur. Despite its numerous and solid online systems that feeds its communities, the series feels like it has forgotten its competitive roots. Despite this, Forza Horizon 4 invites you to take part in its copious amenities and, in the end, the experience feels like your own, as long as you do not demand too much from the multiplayer.
