    I've made an account here just so I can warn people about this game port. I'm a big fan of the Forza-series and the core game that is Horizon 3 is awesome. The pc-version of this game is however filled with glitches, crashes, compability problems and poor optimizations.

    Game publishers aren't stupid. They knew of all these problems but they still released the game. They even charged 100$/€ for the Ultimate edition with the promise of early access. Many of those who bought the Ultimate edition, including me, have not been able to play it properly yet, almost a week after launch. I've spent several hours searching for fixes for the hardcrashes and stutter but to no avail. The forums are filled with disappointed and angry fans. No public statements or aknowledgement from the devs or the publishers when the game will be patched.

    We need to boycott games like these until they are working properly to show the developers that releasing a game in this state is wrong, and will hurt them in the end. We are paying customera, not Q&A. Vote with your wallets people.    … Expand

    Not as great as the first 2 Horizons. Beautiful graphics with captured skies and realistic looking nighttime, some small innovations, not many games take place in Australia...
    But ultimately fail for its soulless game world, stupid level design, terrible story and progression system, perks, cringe, etc. This is the first Forza after Microsoft lowered the target audience to 8-years old.    Not as great as the first 2 Horizons. Beautiful graphics with captured skies and realistic looking nighttime, some small innovations, not many games take place in Australia...

    this game is basically a crappy console port... it's 2018 and it's still crashing to desktop randomly and the forum is full of people complaining about this problem... at this point it's safe to say the developers don't care and it won't ever be fixed otherwise this problem would've been fixed long ago

    this was my first and last game from microsoft, not gonna buy their games ever again

    Forza is a really good game actually. Sadly there are way too many DLCs (VIP, Premium Currency, Hidden Map Items, Car Packs...) which kinda makes it look like a huge money milking machine not a game.

    Game is awesome like every Forza, but PC version is bugged piece of ****. 4 minutes 30 seconds from double click on icon to loading garage, of course if it loading instead crash to desktop.

    When a game can take someone who isn't even remotely interested in a genre and make them a fan, you know it's a great game. This game is looks incredible and there's so much to do. Runs well on my rig, medium settings, 1920x1080, 60+ FPS: i7 4790k, Radeon R9 290, 16 GB RAM.

    First of all, let's be agreed on the fact that Forza Horizon 3 is one of the greatest car games released in a decade (no matter the genre) with a fine razor-sharp accurate gameplay that conveys amazing sensations due to its animation, the thrill of speed (past 300km/h it goes very fast, we don't often see such quality in the way speed is rendered), an astonishing atmosphere induced by aFirst of all, let's be agreed on the fact that Forza Horizon 3 is one of the greatest car games released in a decade (no matter the genre) with a fine razor-sharp accurate gameplay that conveys amazing sensations due to its animation, the thrill of speed (past 300km/h it goes very fast, we don't often see such quality in the way speed is rendered), an astonishing atmosphere induced by a festival that clearly displays the same magnificence as did the very first episode, beautiful graphics as well as tons of content (despite a RIDICULOUSLY small map).

    But, since there is one, and a big one, should you consider the problems the game is tussling with before you take the decision to purchase it at top price, because it's optimized like **** A true disaster. Not only isn't this W10 game the first to be obliterated and mucked up in terms of performances/opti but it also runs poorly on whatever type of machine you have (substandard performances even with 16Go Ram GDDR5, an i7-6600 and a 1070). So this means that if you don't have a very good computer, you can forget about playing it even in low presets, clearly. There's a lot of stuttering and the frames are inconstant. Although the main problem isn't that you cannot bypass these recurrent little problems by deactivating V-Sync or tweaking something else actually, the thing is that they released a game running so awfully bad that it acts as a V-Sign made to the PC platform. Keep also in mind that FH3 is encrypted so neither mods can improve it nor bring FREE content. No, in lieu of that, they don't hesitate to deluge you with overpriced DLC's and a 100$ Ultimate Edition with a Season Pass that is not even inclusive of the two forthcoming DLCs for free (while it should). They're notwithstanding priced $34,99 or "only" $24,99 with the SP... I appreciate the fact that you didn't mention this to those who already cast $100 into the Ultimate Edition... The least you could do was include them for free since everyone knows that FH's DLCs are far from being as good and valuable as those of The Witcher...

    As such, I fiercely wouldn't recommend you to buy it for the time being but as it happens to wait several weeks/months till the game's price significantly drops, (it isn't worth your money currently) and till the release of serious patches that'll make the title run decently on your gaming tanks.    … Expand

    I've made an account here just so I can warn people about this game port. Game is great but still unplayable on PC. Crashes constantly loads for 10 minutes. Loved the game but couldn’t play it. Over a year after release!

    Beautiful world, amazing details, impressive sound design and fantastic visuals.
    BUT With my system, i7 6700k, 970gtx, 16gb RAM all i get is stutter after stutter, FPS drops to 0 for seconds till it back to 40-60. Changing the resolution and settings will not make difference. I noticed CPU is running at 60-70 and sometimes hits 80%. I believe    I DO Agree that Its a fantastic game.

    After almost half a year of playing this game.

    I must say The game itself is great. Singleplayer is fun and you have alot of different style of races.

    even though the game is GREAT, my score for this game is rather low for the following reason:

    First:

    ever since i got the game i had errors, now some say: "Get a better PC"
    but when i try to solve my problems the internet is full of complaints of people have all different kind of issue's. the first problem i ran into was an Teredo issue. after many days of troubleshooting i gave up and Turned my Attention the the Microsoft helpdesk. After 4 lengthy sessions of 4 hours each the helpdesk could not fix it.

    I used my last resort and Reinstalled my entire PC.

    At reinstalling the game it had trouble, i had to " buy" the game while i already owned this game for almost 3 months. after some fiddling i got it working..Including the online option!

    Finaly ! at last ! Epicness !

    Second:

    And Epicness it was... until... i started noticing that sometimes it would not load a race, it just kept loading for 10 minutes and after those 10 minutes it would say i was disconnected. Now some will say: Stop using that Dial-up Internet! but now here it comes, if i would alt+tab out and then back in it would load instant. dont know what went wrong there, but it kept happening more and more. And soon i was Alt-Tabbing like a minor trying to hide is obscure browser activity's from his parents that suddenly walked in.

    then when also if i would not alt tab each race (since it did not happen Every race, just random)
    and was in to the race and this was longer than 15 mins my screensaver would go on.
    which resulted in a black screen and when i moved my mouse again it would come back but with the Pause menu (not awesome when going fast into corners).

    so this game/windows 10 do not recognize steering wheel/shifter as a keystroke, pretty weird since you have to have windows 10 to play forza horizon 3

    Third: (turd)

    Yes turd! the worst thing about this game is that its a Cashcow. Soon to be worse than "the Sims"
    i got the ultimate edition digital copy only, since PC had no tin case editions, 130 Euro's, okey no problem its quite expensive but this game look worth it, i told myself. after playing for a while a expansion came out. got an expansion pass. DLC cars came out, got the Ultimate edition. so i dont have to worry about that.
    WRONG! the car dlc pass in only good for 6 months. So all together i already spend over 200 euros for this game in total and it looks like i'm not done yet if this trend continues .
    but believe me when i say: I am done !

    Conclusion:

    Great Game with a lot of potential!

    But the bad optimizing for PC, crashes Still Bug me on a daily basis, Errors out of the Blue (no BSOD ^_^) and the never ending asking for more money so i can finally own a "Complete" game.

    And if you are willing to turn a blind eye to the bugs crashes and errors you can still have Lots of fun!

    On pc, if you use any sim setup that has more than one usb input it's now totally useless on this 60$ racing game. looks like you are stuck with just a wheel and no pedals, or a controller.     if the game was not just one big "F*ck you" to the pc player, I would honestly give it a 7. But the game doesn't even run longer than 15 minutes now.

Not to mention the constant crashes to desktop and the problems with the Windows Store even starting the download. A fun looking game buried under brutal technical issues.     I will seemingly be driving in races getting flawless 60fps (V-sync on) @ all ultra (MSAA x0), @ 1440p. Then suddenly this weird rubber-banding / jitters happens and it feels like some sort    i7 4770k, 1080GTX, 16GB DDR3, Windows 10 Anniversay Update, Samsung 840 Pro.

Then suddenly this weird rubber-banding / jitters happens and it feels like some sort of server side lag rather than any GPU issue when my brain thinks my car is slowing down, but actually in-game time is stopping.... then don't get me started on how the game crashed within first 30 seconds on launch the first time, the unskippable opening videos, the unskippable cutscenes, the same cutscenes that cause the game to sometimes crash (so far 10 crashes, 3 hrs in), the garage car customisation menu LAGS. Yes you read that right, simply switching the rear wing on my car in the menu scrolling left/right has a 5 seconds LAG as it sort of downloads the textures for the menu button? (I'm not even talking about the visual change on the car, I'm talking about the bloody menu button!). The game also launches in a window, rather than exclusive fullscreen just to annoy you everytime you go to launch it after it crashed again. And to top it all off, if I wanted to try and fix these problems myself, I can't because of UWP. Thanks. What a turd. With patches it could probably be a flawless 9/10 and I'll adjust my score if they bother to patch any of this in the next 2 weeks or so. Otherwise no it's a absolute garbage port.    … Expand

    One of the most addictive games I've ever played, and I'm not even into racing games...or cars, for that matter. Microsoft has patched the performance issues and most of the crashes. This game is arcade racing perfected.

    I cant even play the main SP storymode without the game suttering, graphical errors and then crashes

    Main Races with the AI are bugged.

    Freeroam and MP works but SP is broken.

    Game also runs terribly despite lofty system req's which i well exceed and even at 60fps ultra the game doesnt look or run as good as it should

    Since I got performance out of the way, I can talk about the game itself. This game has more content and features than I would have thought could be put into a racing game. It has a massive open world, ridiculous car selection, and enough events to keep me occupied for hours. Is it worth the 60$? I would say once they iron out bugs, definitely.

    As for more meta design, such as car handling and physics, I would say this game's car handling is somewhere between project cars and GTA V. This could be tied to other factors, but I found all the cars are very drifty. It's clear to me they wanted a blend of simulator and arcade style handling, so that it was possible to race with precision but also have fun. In my opinion, I wish they had gone for a bit more realistic handling such as in Project Cars, but it doesn't detract from the amazing driving experience for me.    … Expand

That being I can not even get the game to start. The Forza Horizon 3 splash screen will appear the close a few seconds latter. I checked event viewer and did not see a crash ID, the only semi relevant thing was thisMany user have reported many issues, such as stuttering, bad performance, and crashing. While they have begun to fix these, I’m still have one major game breaking glitch. That being I can not even get the game to start. The Forza Horizon 3 splash screen will appear the close a few seconds latter.     Great game on X Box One, but on PC it does not work at all. Always crashes after the start screen. Known issue for more than 6 months and the devs do not care to release a fix.

    I love this game. I have two GTX 1080s, so it runs perfectly for me at max settings. Although, apparently, it doesn't do SLI. Hopefully they rectify this. I'm having fun driving around faux Australia. The cars are beautiful, the tasks are fun. It's everything I wanted from this game. I should add that I haven't had any glitches at all. Maybe I'm the minority, but it's the trooph!

    o jogo de corrida do ano, e dificilmete vai ser superado nesse ano, o jogo consegue prender com seu sistema de drivatars e o épco modo online que consgue resumir o que é forza.

    I guess the core concept of the game is to collect cars and goof around, but as a racing game its so poorly executed. I just can't be bothered with it after 20 hours of game time and I am baffled as to what people see in or enjoy about this franchise.

    This is just so wonderfully entertaining if you like arcade style racers. There are performance worries and as this comes through the windows store it is lacking SLI and proper full screen support, adding to performance issues and costing it a couple of points.

    Now, I believe have a fairly decent gaming PC:

    Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Edition
    Intel i7 6700K
    G.Skill 16MB RAM
    Geforce 980 x2 (SLI)
    Both gaming and boot drives are SSD

    Disregarding minor bugs, like my VIP pass not working and other odd glitches (that continue to dog the game), the game was, and remains to be, unplayable due to poor CPU and GPU optimization. I can deal with low framerates, but flat out frame drops make this game impossible. Go into a turn, frames are lost, suddenly I'm careening off the road. It happens in races and out of races, regardless of what level of graphics performance I have set.

    Both the CPU and GPU are never fully taxed, despite the game performing so horribly, which leads me to believe that basic testing and optimization were not a priority on PC.

    The game completely lacks SLI/Crossfire support, which is just plain silly for a game so graphically demanding.

    To top it all off, the official support forum moderators are snarky and rude to just about every paying customer trying to find out what is going on with the software they bought with their hard earned money.

    TL;DR: stay far away from this one folks. The Crew is free right now; pick that up, and forget this was even made.    … Expand

    As for the gameplay, it is extremely good, the driving is fantastic and the races are extremely entertaining. It plays perfect with the Xbox 360 and One gamepad, and its the way that's meant to be played.
    The music selection is top of the line, and its fantastic. If you are not convinced, you can play your own music using Groove, a music streaming service exclusive of Windows, just like Spotify. It comes with a 15 days trial.
    Overall, i'm so impressed with this game, i just lack the proper words to describe this masterpiece. I have never been so impressed with a racing game before. And you can tell the devs put a lot of love and efforts to it, you can see right there in every little detail they put, in the map and the cars.

    The only downside of the PC version is that this game is sold exclusively through Windows Store, which i'm really hoping for that to change in the future and become available in many others digital distribution services.
    The optimization of the game is not really perfect, but i just can't complain. Considering my CPU is below recommended, i'm extremely satisfied with the results, and the game plays quite fine on high and ultra settings.
    There are hitches here and there, especially in the city, but i'm sure these issues will be addressed in future patches.

    To those on the fence, you should definitely go for it. This game is really really good!
    I would give it a 10, but the fact that there are problems with the Windows store, i can't give it the perfect score.

The blueprint mode allows you change the settings of the current race you're about to join. You simply adjust the weather, time of day, what cars are to be allowed in, the amount of laps to race around in, renaming the race, etc. Bucket lists can also be created instead of changed. You simply choose a car you own, the choose one of the different modes, and then you choose the location. Simple as that.

    The car list has also been expanded since Horizon 2. Now supporting over 350 cars but however the real star of the show being wide bodykits and much more visual customization. You can even put a Liberty Walk kit on a Ferrari. I don't even know how Forza did it but they did. The handling model has improved quite a bit.

    The graphics look spectacular, great 60FPS gameplay at 900p on my GTX 770, tuning is back, a new drift mode has been implemented, also a new drone mode for video content, upgrading your festival how you'd like, more stuff to do, brighter more vivid colors, Xbox Play Anywhere Program, DMX is in the game, HDR capability, naming and creating your avatar character, Hiring friends for bringing in festival upgrades, the world is much more open, and FRIGGIN CO-OP!!

    Sure yeah there are some issues, but most are ironed out at this point.

    As I said, if you are a racing fan, you need this game. You will be missing out without it.

    "Take me away" to a racing game made in 2004, because that's what this feels like.

    I have a 1080 msi gaming x, 16 go ram, i7 3770k @ 4.2 and the game sutter a lot, the framerate in ultra is between 35/60 with msaa 4. If i change msa to 2 i have the same result...
    The game sutter like hell....
    It's not a port it's an emulation...
    I would prefer that xbox play anywhere never exist...

    I really want to give this game a ten, but rushed game that's this unplayable.

    Great game, but with some troubles. First thing, there are checkpoints, that are no problem for me, but the npc drivers don't care if the pass them or not, and no penalty for them. Secondly, your car can easily lose controls if the enemy bump to your rear wheel, but you can't do the same to them. Thirdly, it is very expensive. Relax guys, it is not such awesome game to put it so high..

    Played many hours of the xbox one version and also now the PC version. I have most settings at low and medium but it runs well even on my older gpu and a decent i5. Best racing series only gets better, now on pc also. Go get this game now, simply amazing!

    I love this game. I have two GTX 1080s, so it runs perfectly for me at max settings. Although, apparently, it doesn't do SLI. Hopefully they rectify this. I'm having fun driving around faux Australia. The cars are beautiful, the tasks are fun. It's everything I wanted from this game. I should add that I haven't had any glitches at all. Maybe I'm the minority, but it's the trooph!

    I first tried playing it using an i7 4770k & a GTX 970 in 1080p. I was getting about 40-70 fps when I was driving around, and it would occasionally drop to 30 in races. That does not sound too bad, but there was a bug where everytime I changed cars, entered an event or went to the auction house, the framerate would drop to about 15-20 fps, and remain there until I restarted the entire game. On average I had to restart every 20 minutes or so, which kinda breaks the immersion a bit, plus that it is mildly frustrating.

    When I tried running it using a GTX 1080 TI in 1440p, the frame rate issues I previously had when I was entering menus, or stayed in the garage for too long, seemed to have disappeared completely. I am not sure whether it's the upgrade in GPU memory that fixed it, or if it was the higher resolution, but I do know that people running the game in 4k has had a more or less smooth experience since launch. So at this point I don't actually have any performance issues with the game anymore.

    TL;DR: The game itself is absolutely fantastic, and runs well on high end systems, but if you are on a mid/lower end rig, the game can be nearly unplayable.    … Expand

Although, the traffic is annoying (like GTA V) so practicing can be frustrating if you're new to it.
    The map is quite big - and shows off Australia in very accurate and stunning detail (I'm from Aus) and to be honest, it made me want to visit some of these places IRL after seeing them in game. The graphics really are quite stunning.
    And finally, the sounds of each car sound the way they're supposed to. Not some vacuum cleaner like sound (Grand Turismo).The sound of a twin turbo set-up or a V8 are very distinguished and not generic at all.

    There are however some performance issues as others have stated, however it seems to be a bit of a mixed bag. I've only had a single crash to desktop since launch and I haven't had any stuttering issues as others have reported if I turn off MSAA (as others have stated). And there are some bugs with menus not showing up ) However, this seems to be an issue that will be resolved with a later patch.

    In conclusion, I don't normally write reviews, but I felt the negative feedback is due to other people's experiences with stuttering and performance issues - which I feel confident will be addressed in a later patch, and shouldn't exclude the fact that the game is quite stunning. Considering how big the game is - I feel there should be an allowance for early day bugs. Some will accept it, some wont. Honestly though, they're nowhere near as bad as people are making them out to be, and the game ISN'T unplayable (for me anyway)

    If your finger is on the pulse, I would look at HD vids on YouTube to see for yourself how it looks and sounds.

    There were many technical issues at launch. Things are getting a lot better after two patch. Not everything is perfect but we are getting there. The game is rich, addictive, and really good looking. If you love racing games, this is a game you should really add to your library. I know that it will remain in mine for a very long time.

    This game had many technical problems at release date, but most of them are already gone. It's by now the best racing game you can get (whether you prefer arcade or simulations). The one thing that's a problem is, if you're going to play with your friends, you are going to have problems, as the game often disconnects players from groups (even during races).

    Those stupid NPC's are just ruining everything. Also let's just not forget about the glitches that still haven't fixed yet. Another thing that the game is just starts repeating after like 10 hours.

    It's been a long time ago when i felt this feelings... I never played in this series before.... And reason why i switched my love windows 7 to horrible windows 10 is this game. I'm a young kid again... want to play this game again and again. Microsoft you must to tnx a studio turn 10. They sold me your **** win 10.

    400 + cars, online racing .For me personally the best racing game in terms of how the cars run. Also fantastic soundtracks. The only lack is progress. Cause its just the usual, feels like the newer nfs versions when it comes to development. I wish they made a game that has some type of a story or a better structured progression system.

    Fantastic game. The best racing game i played since the original Most Wanted. Looks beautiful contains about 700 different cars. Driving model is great. Really fun to play online offline or just driving around in your favorite cars.

    Simplesmente o melhor jogo de corrida da série Forza, o jogo está excelente após a ultima atualização ficando bem mais leve e estável, dá pra jogar tranquilamente até mesmo com um core i3.

    Simply the best racing game in the Forza series, the game is excellent after the last update, it is much lighter and stable, you can play peacefully even with a core i3.

    Not bad but also not excellent, the game me in principle anything on hooked ordinary racing with good graphics is nothing special for this put 8/10. If you are a fan of this genre then play with pleasure

    The game itself is awesome. Good graphics, a huge map with a **** of things to do, amazing enviroment, amazing car physics. Very addictive.

    For me this is a 10/10. Give it a try, and ignore the haters (most of the low scores are from people having the game crashing, which I have not experienced, not a single time, and this will be patched or has been patched already. Well spent 60 dollars (which I cant say for most of the games I've bought throughout the years).    … Expand

    Great idea, great visuals but most important thing is very bad and that is physics of driving.
    Horizon should be arcade game but driving is like in simulation games and that not working good in open world game!

    Se o Need For Speed tivesse evoluído corretamente depois do Underground 2, hoje ele seria o
    FORZA HORIZON 3. Um jogo Arcade com ótima jogabilidade, um mundo aberto muito grande, muitos carros, ótimos gráficos e tem muitas opções na jogabilidade como por exemplo, habilitar danos nos carros para ocorrerem falhas nas peças do carro conforme for danificando nas batidas.

    One of the best racing game i've ever played. I dont know why people complaining about the game being a bad pc port. Over 40 hrs of my play times, I hadn't noticed any performance issue. It runs smoothly. The game difficulty can sometime be very hard, but it turns out that changing to different cars fixed the problem, at least that's what worked for me.

    Love this game. Everything you've come to expect from Horizon, but done in a much more engaging and interesting way. New and improved online modes. Gorgeous graphics and cars. Near perfect in terms of open world driving games. Also the variety of cars is amazing.

    Este juego esta hecho con cariño y se nota en sus misiones. Sincronizan los sound track con la conducción y crean puestas en escena que de verdad hacen querer conducir infinitamente. Las dificultad está muy bien ajustada y muchas veces la tuve que bajar del máximo porque me faltaba el embrague... literalmente, un simulador de conducción. Un juego con retos muy divertidos y bien ejecutados.Este juego esta hecho con cariño y se nota en sus misiones.     Better than this game may be only FH4) Best racing game i've ever played. Lots of cars, tuning, sounds are awesome! Best compilation for men- fast cars, beautiful nature, nice music, drift places - all i need for best gaming experience. If there was booty women, i would give that game 11/10)

    The high-end PC settings don’t live up to our expectations, but the handling, courses, and community features are all top of their class. Forza Horizon 3 is the type of racing game that just about anyone can pick up and have fun with, but it still includes depth for committed players. Put that together with a beautiful environment that you can explore at your own pace, and Forza Horizon 3 is one of the strongest and most well-rounded open world racers we’ve ever played.

    Forza Horizon offers you a huge world to explore. It gives you as many cars, from supercars to off-road buggies, to race how and when you want. Explore the outback, race along the coast. Forza Horizon 3 is possibly the best racing game in the world, just marred by performance issues on the PC and the dull nature of the create-your-own-race options.
