Dec 7, 2025A deep bow to the point-and-click ancestors like Monkey Island. Foolish Mortals is a delightful and beautiful modern point-and-click game that unfortunately doesn't have the same clever writing as its predecessors.

Nov 17, 2025Throughout the 12ish hours it took me to roll credits, you can see that this is a developer that understands adventure games and their players. With a story that is engaging from start to finish and is packed full of memorable characters, mostly satisfying puzzles and has a gorgeous art style and immersive soundtrack to boot, Inklingwood Studios has nailed the brief for what it takes to create an outstanding adventure, and to do it with its first try is very impressive. But the real feather in its cap is the quality of life features that ensure the player never loses momentum and spends their time enjoying the good stuff.

Nov 12, 2025Foolish Mortals is for the 90s point-and-click kids; the kids who loved Telltale and LucasArts games, the kids who would, before the internet, call their friends and excitedly tell them they’d cracked the puzzle they’d both been stuck on. With its gorgeous backdrops, spooky vibes and a narrative filled with twists and turns, this is a point-and-click adventure that fans of the genre would be foolish to miss.
