Five Nights at Freddy's World is a retro parody JRPG that feels incomplete now, but is steadily getting better as patches come out.

There is so much wrong with FNaF World that there’s just one thing I can commend – the fact that Cawthon had enough decency not to charge people for this rubbish. [05/2016, p.55]

It's not broken in the traditional sense. You know, it's not buggy, but it is completely broken, unfinished, and unpolished, and barely playable due to how insanely boring and simplistic it is.

Now, diehard fans of the series have a hard time accepting these facts (even though Scott Cawthon himself admits he made this mistake and he accepts it), but it's true. It was rushed. RPG's are not the types of games you rush like this.

Because this game was rushed and unpolished it resulted in the following major problems:

    - Overly simplistic gameplay
    - No way of knowing what the moves you click on do
    - No real interactive NPC's (except some vendors)
    - 0 Character development and no biographies for the characters
    - Practically no plot or story progression
    - No towns or houses to visit, despite house sprites being visible in game
    - No way to check your characters stats
    - Far too easy to beat enemies that have virtually no AI
    - A loading screen that makes no sense since there's practically nothing in the game that would cause it to have a long load screen

I could actually go on with the problems. What makes a good RPG a good RPG is the fact that it takes you into another world and puts you into a story you are supposed to enjoy. FNaF World doesn't do that. Again, there's no real story. You get a brief explanation of what's going on, then that's it. Occasionally Golden Freddy, or whoever that is supposed to be, shows up and says some things, but that's it. Nothing special. The story doesn't really progress. Yeah, the game does, but the story always feels like it's at a standstill. Beating bosses feels completely unrewarding because of this because it doesn't leave the player with any real motivation to beat them.

The way you get new party members is one of the worst parts about the game. They just kind of show up, you fight them, then...actually, that's it. You beat them and they join your party. Doesn't sound bad at first, but there's nothing to make you care. They just show up. No backstories to them, no personality, nothing. They also look ridiculously stupid since they all bounce around like mental patients. I would say Shadow BB is the worst culprit here.

If you have Steam and you want a good or decent RPG stay away from this one. Invest your $10 in something much better like Undertale, Saturday Morning RPG, the classic Final Fantasy games, or you could just walk to your backyard and pick up a couple sticks and bang them together because that's more fun and interesting than this stupid game.

That's kind of hard to do for me, video game wise. The Universe End ending had to be my favorite one, with the Scott Ending being my second favorite. The new update's graphics are also pretty beautiful. 10/10, would play again. Full Review »
