    Before the fox finds a way to return home from the planet Caramel, you'll enjoy a relaxing adventure game with magical visuals and a violence-free story. It's just a shame that the game is disrupted by a stereotype at the end. [Issue#319]

    FixFox is an exceptionally memorable puzzle adventure game. The characters and environments radiate a wholesome and positive energy, similar to something you’d see in a Pixar short. The gameplay is laid-back and enjoyable, though it does lack some substance in the puzzle solving sequences. If your interested in a game that will tug on your heart strings, or simply want something you can relax too, then I highly recommend you pick this up.

    Made by a single developer, an industry rookie, FixFox really brings a good amount of ideas to the table. The main mechanics are quite simple, designed to be relaxing and reassuring. The outline, however, stands out for brilliant ideas and insights, which contribute to the creation of an intriguing context. Not everything is perfect, some aspect for example are a bit generic (music, especially) and some other may appear unclear at first glance. Its slow and somewhat repetitive pace might also bore more action-oriented players.

    FixFox is a delightful title that manages to be a comfortable experience despite the at-times heavy themes. The self-fulfilling loop of repairing machines is the highlight, and it’s what you’ll be doing most, outside simple puzzles. Occasional unclear objectives, however, drag the experience down during specific moments. But once you get past FixFox’s quirks, it confidently takes you through a gentle, emotional ride.

    FixFox isn’t a game for teens or adults who act like teens (you know who you are). There isn’t enough challenge or engaging gameplay to be had. For the pre-teens out there though, FixFox is adorably cute, enjoyable and fun with a story that they can follow! The developers knew the audience that would enjoy this and delivered well.

    So despite the nagging feeling that FixFox needed an unforgiving editor at some points, Rendlike have made a lovely world to just BE in, tootling around on your desert bike, arriving in and out of town, eating nice soup. It's all about co-operation and being friendly and helping out. And in return the locals like you too! Isn't that lovely? Yes. Yes it is.

    Retro graphics, charming story, and you play as a fox! Overall worth a play, the atmosphere is great and it's pretty relaxing.

The game sometimes felt a little too on-rails and the puzzles repetitive at times, but I felt that those elements were warranted to deliver an experience driven mostly by the philosophy-rich story - without too much frustration, in order to contribute to the cozy vibe. I also appreciated its nods to other scifi and game series. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and highly recommend it, especially for gamers who enjoyed Undertale, Cave Story+ (vibe, not gameplay), FTL (also just vibes), Stardew Valley, Broken Age, and Donut County.… Full Review »

Siamo un uomo-volpe con la passione per la tecnologia vintage e analogica che lavora come manutentore in un'azienda spaziale. Il tutto in un futuro "animalesco" in cui tutti gli esseri umani, prima per passatempo poi per necessità si sono ibridati con gli animali, ottenendone le caratteristiche. Decisamente particolare. Anche se questo dettaglio mi ha lasciato spiazzato e un po' a disagio, è però un elemento ben giustificato nella trama che porta anche degli sviluppi alla stessa in maniera ben fatta.
