I haven't played the game in VR but I enjoyed my time with it. It is scary in most places which is definitely a positive when talking about a FNaF game. I will be sharing my opinions on all 7 'games', I have something to say about all of them but first as an in general opinion: the game looks great and plays great for the most part so the devs at Steel Wool and Scott himself did an awesome job, very worth the $30 they're asking for.
--- FNAF 1 ---
The office has been recreated pretty well, everything you might remember from the original is there. I don't know why you can't hear Phone Guy that well if you pick up the phone compared to if you leave the phone alone, you can hear him perfectly. Maybe he's constantly on speakerphone. I also have no idea as to why you can look through the left door. Whether or not the door is closed you can look through it. This alone is unusual, but if you decide to take a peek Foxy automatically spawns and rushes the door - or you - down; and that I cannot understand why it's this way. Also by Night 3 you won't have much time to look at the cameras, Bonnie and/or Chica will constantly try to invade your personal aura so just check the light every 3 seconds and you should be fine.
--- FNAF 2 ---
I liked this recreation the most of the three. It was more funny and useful than scary however. In my opinion the withered animatronic should have started trying to kill you from Night 3 but they've been pushed back to Night 6 in 'alt colors mode (?)'(referred to as 'LSD mode from now on'). Not having to push the music box button all the time(you can just hold the button and not let go of LMB and look around) and being able to press wasd to switch cameras(applies to FNAF 1 & 3) is extremely useful and relieving compared to the original and makes the game so much easier and more enjoyable. Being able to see if Balloon Boy isn't dangerous anymore is also a huge improvement. Also it's just funny to see Toy Bonnie head straight for you and just going the other way.
--- FNAF 3 ---
This recreation is to me the most faithful on in the sense that the gameplay is just as frustrating as it was in the original FNAF 3. Sometimes you can completely lose track of Springtrap or can't distinguish if what you see in the cameras in him or not. The vent is no better; I heard vent sounds all the time and reflexively I checked the cameras and he was nowhere to be found, the next thing I know, I'm dead.
--- DARK ROOMS ---
Yeah, the rooms are dark alright, too dark to beat it. Nightmare BB & Springtrap were just as difficult/easy as they were in FNaF 4 but PlushBaby was a whole another level. You can't see literally anything except the clock and you have to scare away plush versions of Baby with a very slowly recharging flashlight. The plushes come from so many places that you'd need a reflector to even have a chance beating this. My record was 2AM I believe which I still cannot grasp how I achieved.
--- PARTS & SERVICE ---
This is what the game's name is about. You repair the animatronics you were trying to avoid in FNaF 1 and that's exactly what you do. It's kind of more like a mini game; you don't spend 5 minutes on one robot but most things you do are fun enough to play it more than once. In LSD mode Freddy is exceptionally weird but everything is so I shouldn't really be surprised.
--- VENT REPAIR ---
In my opinion this is the best in this game. Only 2 shift but damn they're good. You're always nervous and check if Mangle comes after you yet in shift 1. You play some microgames while Mangle wants you to become of theirs and it's just perfect. You're in an enclosed space in the dark while someone wants you to be the opposite of alive, perfect. I can't say the same about shift 2 where Ennard haunts you but it's still a pretty wee put together shift. You repair vents by pushing buttons in the correct order. The first 2 are really easy and may seem childish to some folks but in the 3rd puzzle when Ennard is there and you can see him can really spice up the gameplay. If you complete the puzzle unexpectedly almost kills you but the vent is strong enough to keep him out. I was really scared at that point and for good reason, I enjoyed this part too although what comes next isn't that fun. You have to find 3 gears and place the in places. Truth is I didn't manage to take the 3rd gear so I never completed this shift which is a shame.
--- NIGHT TERROR ---
My feelings about Night Terror is about the same as it is for Dark Rooms; too difficult. I maybe beat Funtime Freddy for the 20th try and even then I was very lucky. I never knew where he would be coming from and it was frustrating. When in Nightmarionne's night I can't figure out what to do, not that I wanted to since Funtime Freddy ruined this mode for me.… Expand
