    Lets address the negatives first. Yes, career mode was broken but they're working on it. I'm not sure how all the things wrong with it weren't addressed in testing but regardless, they're working on it. Gameplay wise, the only thing wrong right now is switching player, which - even when using the right analog stick - seems to not change to who you are trying to select. Apart from that, the gameplay is great! They changed defending so that you can't just rely on your AI players to tackle for you, YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO DEFEND YOURSELF NOW, which I love because I've always been a big fan of defending manually. Because the scrubs can't defend manually, they abuse the 'Drop Back' custom tactic, which allows me, a possession based player, to have so much room around the edge of their box, play my way through and score. I haven't lost a single game on Online Seasons yet because the game is rewarding positive play instead of just having pacey players and spamming through ball, and I LOVE IT.… Expand

    Mano, não sei porque vocês acham que esse jogo tão ruim ok a EA dificilmente acha novidades para o modo carreira,mas é bom 1,1 é um exagero, não acha ?     Lots of fun, mainly with Volta, what is a great new mode. PES has better gameplay, on the other hand Fifa has more content, better presentation and online (no waiting!). Upgrade against Fifa 18, which I played for 2 years.

    Having been swapping between playing PES and FIFA over the years since the days of ISS and World Cup 98, I find it a refreshing change to go for FIFA 20!
    I have mainly been playing PES for the last few years, but decided it might be time for a change, despite the graphics in PES looking better (in my opinion!), I am finding FIFA more fun to play, especially with the Volta mode addition.    Having been swapping between playing PES and FIFA over the years since the days of ISS and World Cup 98, I find it a refreshing change to go for FIFA 20!
    I have mainly been playing PES for the last few years, but decided it might be time for a change, despite the graphics in PES looking better (in my opinion!), I am finding FIFA more fun to play, especially with the Volta mode addition. My frustrations with PES have been the usual licensing issues, menu system, commentary and generally find that although play is smooth, the pace seems a bit slow, it's frustratingly difficult and lacks the enjoyment from before. Not to mention you cannot play offline in PES for some time now, in FIFA you can!
    Not sure why this game is getting so much negativity, as a complete package, the licenses, presentation and playability with the fun factor for me makes it worthwhile.
    I do think that PES 2020 is probably more realistic from a technical perspective but possibly at the expense of enjoyment, I am not interested in playing online and just want good old fashioned football fun.
    For now I am back with FIFA!    … Expand

    - Perfect scalable: adjusting difficulty to your needs and playing abilities

    The missing capability can be found in mechanics e.g. corners and a missing a missing random mode (performance of soccer player is not every day the same)

    Introduction - As a casual player this year’s FIFA 20, the brand-new installment in EA’s mega sports game in their highly successful FIFA series does not disappoint it comes with a new mode, some surface-level changes and changes to a few of the game mechanics but still disappoints due to not nailing some basic level fundamentals and EA’s new direction being way more    FIFA 20 REVIEW

    Introduction - As a casual player this year’s FIFA 20, the brand-new installment in EA’s mega sports game in their highly successful FIFA series does not disappoint it comes with a new mode, some surface-level changes and changes to a few of the game mechanics but still disappoints due to not nailing some basic level fundamentals and EA’s new direction being way more focused on its online mode Ultimate Team which shows where EA’s priority for the game lies in.

    Gameplay and Graphics - As a player playing the videogame for several years, the change in its gameplay and graphics can be seen as minimal and can be compared to the previous games from FIFA 14 after EA changed the game engine to its own inhouse built Unreal engine. However, when it comes to the changes introduced in the mechanics of the gameplay, while good still lacks the accuracy delivered by its direct Rivals PES by KONAMI. Some of the major changes in the gameplay mechanics are more focused on pace and defending. This change makes high ball situations (corners and crosses) far harder to crack.

    Modes - Some of the major changes that I felt EA has brought into this year’s edition is the new VOLTA game mode. It picks up the narrative duties with a tale about a young streetball player called Revy. Outside Volta, there are numerous additions to other modes in FIFA 20. Career Mode has been a shelter for those who don’t play Ultimate Team over the years, though the returns have been diminishing with it clear where EA’s loyalties lie. Some impressive changes were promised for FIFA 20, but they, unfortunately, become a chore instead of anything meaningful within just a couple of hours.

    Players and Managers - This time out, players can now customize their managers from a selection of presets with there being sadly little room for customization. Either by talking to them directly or mentioning them at press conferences, you can either boost their morale with compliments or lower it by criticizing them heavily. The problem here is that your squad’s morale seems to have next to no real effect on their performance on the pitch, so the busy work of answering three very repetitive questions before and after every match feels completely pointless. Players can approach you with their concerns and you can finally reply in FIFA 20, but the impact of any decision you make is barely noticeable. It’s a decent concept, but the poor execution means that the gleam of Career wears off quickly and leaves you feeling like, again, you’re just back playing FIFA 19.    … Expand

If you have Origin Access Premier for other reasons and you avoid the Ultimate Teams, it is an okay casual game, 7/10 as it can offer some casual fun before you get to the next title. I like more serious tycoon games, so I have tried the career mode as manager and theOn any other platform, it would be a 2/10 bad release.     The game is solid. It's not a great improvement on the previous but it's not as bad as people say.
    Online multiplayer is still a lot of fun.

    Un juego que pasan los años y su evolución es mínima, se nota su monopolio frente a la saga PES lo cual hace un juego que, en sus bases no esta mal, pero mas alla no tiene ni mejora ni equilibrio, el FUT su modo mas jugado es sinceramente, la misma basura de cada año, puro pay2win, y partidos en super random en el que puedes ganar facilemente 5-0 y el siguiente perderlo tu 0-5, un handicapUn juego que pasan los años y su evolución es mínima, se nota su monopolio frente a la saga PES lo cual hace un juego que, en sus bases no esta mal, pero mas alla no tiene ni mejora ni equilibrio, el FUT su modo mas jugado es sinceramente, la misma basura de cada año, puro pay2win, y partidos en super random en el que puedes ganar facilemente 5-0 y el siguiente perderlo tu 0-5, un handicap que se nota de manera excesivamente por mucho que se pida que se quite y EA no lo reconozca, siempre de forma inexplicable si tengo un equipo con una media de 80, tras mas de 20 partidos jugados siempre me toca contra gente con una media de 83 hasta 90 en su equipo y en alguna ocasion puntual, por debajo del mio aproximadamente una media de 78 lo cual me hace quedar con cara de tonto cada vez que me aparece el equipo con el que me voy a enfrentar, ya sea en la división que este qque de media es en la 8 y no me considero un pro player, pero tampoco un mal jugador de fifa y siempre me hago la misma pregunta, con la de millones de jugadores que hay, cuando voy a jugar contra uno mas malo que yo? aunque sea un poco, porque luego yo juego contra amigos y les gano relativamente fácil, como es que en el online siempre me pasa lo mismo y acaban los resultados tan alocados? graficamente no esta mal, pero tiene poca mejora, un poco mejor la fisica del balon este año y ya esta lo cual no justifica los 60 pavos que vale, espero que en el fifa 21 haya un gran salto con la nueva generación de consolas porque los fifas ya se me hacen ultra repetitivos cada año, tanto a nivel jugable como en el online el cual lo sobres y los fifa points están por encima de todo cada año cada vez mas, y en parte la culpa es de los jugadores por comprar FIFA Points y apoyar esta practica. No es que sea una basura de juego, pero se lo curran cada año menos y nos intentan vender lo contrario.… Expand

    I used to okay pes and fifa about ten year ago.. I mean a lot I was one top players.. Had a break and come back to it recently.. The game hadn't advanced much.. The online matches are still based mainly upon how the computer AI decides which of you it wants to win. By this I mean the AI just deliberately makes mistakes or your players are so weak, can't pass 2 yards, stumble, don't moveI used to okay pes and fifa about ten year ago.. And I've been on both ends of it all. Sometimes I feel sorry for my opponents cos I can see its my turn to have AI want me to win. This is ultimately the downfall of pes and fifa as sane as ten year ago this hasn't changed and most of your wins and losses isn't down to your skill or ability it's down to poor AI which doesn't happen on any other games I no of. The Devs after a decade haven't bothered to fix it..… Expand

    Worst Fifa edition in the last 10 years. Gameplay in FUT sucks!! Finishing is harder than ever and an average 80 rated GK will block 8/10 shots from an 90 rated POM Lewandowski.

Game play with AI is a copy and paste from last FIFA. The difference are the passes and tackles by the AI. I played in FIFA 19 with a legendary difficulty and despite scripts it was pretty even, but now with a legendary I can't doSame as last years FIFA, minor changes to the career mode, de facto not needed in the first place. They are passing the ball like boys in the school pitch. Direction of passes differs from that what I want, they are either too strong or too weak. The tackles are so OP to the AI that I don't have time to properly turn around my player to the other direction after receiving the ball and AI player already takes it from me (even with holding 'cover the ball' button). I can honestly say that the 90% of all goals I lost in the career mode were due to handicapped pass or tackle.… Expand

The game will frequently, and arbitrarily, create artificial difficulty through forcing the player's team to make mistakes DEEPLY uncharacteristic of the team or specific player. Impressive sprinters like Lionel Messi or Heung-min Son struggle to get past defenders with an AVG in the mid-70s. Maestro crossers like Kevin De Bruyne will sport accuracy befitting of a Sunday league winger. The list goes on.

    This blatant handicapping has gotten worse over the past few iterations of the franchise, and EA continues to insult its player base's intelligence by denying there is any presence of scripting or momentum shifting code. Regardless of whether whatever system is causing this was added intentionally or not, EA has summarily failed to remedy how often this game franchise creates infuriating situations where the player does not feel in control of their own team.

    FUT is still the only feature that gets development time, which is to be expected when the majority of the audience is 20-somethings spending hundreds, or even thousands of dollars a month on packs for players. I will not be purchasing any more titles in the FIFA franchise in the foreseeable future. The only reason this is not a 0/10 is that the game actually launches and can be played.     Well, probably they have been 40 hrs I regret most wasting time with. I am a career player, I don't like that messy ultimate pay to win team were everyone uses same player and bugged stuff. I play with Parma on wolrd class difficulty and it is all damn broken. Bugged shots from 30 meters, impossible to score a penalty or a free kick, defenders always out of positioning. Not to mention the useless thing about pre match interview and after match, a useless way to somehow boost your players just giving the same answer anytime and still won't change maybe you win a couple of matches but you lose the decisive one. And I don't want to play lower difficulty were I win 3 -0 100% of times..
    Keep feeding that ultimate team to make money, but you are starting to sell less ea on sports game. And it is a pity.

    Terrible game with no improvement from last year FIFA 19. The game got worse instead. This game is broken from career mode to the core gameplay. They even use the same cutscenes for the game. I don't know how they'd even expect people to spend money for FIFA 21 after this. Such a terrible game from one of the worst if not the worst game developer.

    Changed all the defence system. Didn't gave a single warning. Gameplay is broken, with unbalanced attack/defence. I'll keep trying to play this game because the expensive price I've payed, but I'll never gonna buy a EA game again. NEVER. Last game. FIFA is officially dead. Thanks EA.

    And if you wanna play the "carrer mode" this is the most broken mode. Just an example:
    In career mode you use a starting player (gómez for example) and his mood is 50% and after the game, the journalists ask you why he did not play (Gómez, which one played the starting    This Fifa 20 is for shure the most broken FIFA game ever... btw the Handeicap, momentum, scripting is 100% as usually.

    All the mechanics of the game is very bad !
    The campaign isn’t right. The controls are even worse. Penalty ?!?!?!? Free kick?!?!? So bad design. Why to change something that works ?!??
    Money back please !

    For now, FIFA 20 is better than the previous edition in terms of gameplay, and that’s somewhat sufficient. But it dropped the excellent The Journey single-player only to replace it with a stale mode. With a little luck, we might get to play Volta outside of FIFA when it belongs. To sum it up, as Comrade Dyatlov points out, it’s not great, not terrible. For any other game, this would be a bad thing, but for FIFA’s microtransaction model, it’s everything that Electronic Arts hopes for.
