This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. The game starts you off as a "clone" of sorts, being a piece of your "master" who created you, whose name seems to be unknown. Your goal is to defeat Dieh, a girl who seems to be a primary antagonist of "The Master" and forces you to question your decisions and kill your master. The storyseems to fall off from there and leave you somewhat lost. The combat itself is pretty simple. It's similar to many hack and slash titles that have come before it. Killing enemies provides you with "Memory Points" which you can use to upgrade your skills and abilities. All in all, it's nothing innovative by itself, but it does this mechanic fairly well. The game also features its own version of a "challenge" mode disguised as a user mechanic called "Sleepwalk mode" which boosts the player's attack and speed but at the cost of taking much more damage. I think the feature works well for the type of game it is, but we really are not offered any explanation behind the feature as far as I've seen.

The music is basic. Beautiful, but basic. It offers very few soundtracks so there will frequently be times you are in combat with a rhino while listening to a soft melodic piano. The graphics? Subpar, yet elegant at the same time. Its clearly a game designed in Unity, the grass is spotty, and it looks like someone took Breath of the Wild and scaled it down to work with weaker devices. But, oddly it works. If you can get past the horrible lighting and some of the clearly horrific Unity assets, there's a beautiful world to discover. And some wild attention to detail, from the reflection and shadows, to the books ans rock shading (to some degree)

Overall, this game is a diamond in the rough. Not a well polished diamond by any means, but still a diamond. And the game has potential to be decent, but its still a far cry from home. The NPCs are wonky, the translations are loose at best in some places, and your retinas may be damaged from the lighting, but there's something there worth playing... But I recommend waiting until a sale. The game runs for a hot $20 on Steam, and in the current state 2 days after release, it is still far off from wasting your money on it. The game still ranks a 7 because the gameplay and its beautiful world save it
