    While far from "innovative" it is a brilliant implementation of the roguelike genre. Fun, addictive, and well worth the price. Simple, easy to puck up, nearly impossible to put down.

    This game is what tossed me into the world of gaming. I have to plainly state that this is my all time #1 game in the universe (next to Skyrim). The graphics are phenomenal, the creatures, monsters and progression of difficulty is within perfect mixture. I can't say I have found or will ever find a problem in this amazing game.

    People have been comparing Fate to Diablo, but In fact, it's a perfect homage to Darkstone. It's a lot of fun to play. Everything has been done well. The music is atmospheric and quite beautiful, the animation is great, the control system is good, the graphics are nice. It's an action RPG, not much story, just lots of hacking and slashing and leveling up and finding new People have been comparing Fate to Diablo, but In fact, it's a perfect homage to Darkstone. It's a lot of fun to play. Everything has been done well. The music is atmospheric and quite beautiful, the animation is great, the control system is good, the graphics are nice. It's an action RPG, not much story, just lots of hacking and slashing and leveling up and finding new armour and weapons. For some weird reason, they've chosen to hobble the camera's rotation (ALA warcraft 3; after turning 45 degrees in any direction the cam won't turn any more and snaps back when you let go of the key.) If you like action RPG's you'll like this one. Don't miss it. Hard to believe such a small team could make such a high quality title. Well done Wild Tangent.     This is a Darkstone clone with improved graphics and no weapon durability (I hate weapons degrading). Since I love Darkstone, I was very happy to find this bargain priced gem of a dungeon crawler.

    Obedobie is a moron. Plain and simple. This is, for a low-priced WildTangent PC game, an excellent play. Now it's no Bioware or Bethesda game, that's for sure, however it is playable, and for a good period of time, enjoyable. One thing to note. Years before it was paraded before the gaming community in a high end 360 game, Fate implemented the same weapon generating system that BorderlandsObedobie is a moron. Plain and simple. This is, for a low-priced WildTangent PC game, an excellent play. Now it's no Bioware or Bethesda game, that's for sure, however it is playable, and for a good period of time, enjoyable.     Addictive and fun. Excellent game and even more impressive when you realize how small the team was and how quickly it was made. Kudos.

    This is an awesome game. I am level 99 with a level 68 Bengal Tiger pet. It is the most awesome game ever! A Total 10!

    This is a fun distraction, no instruction manual needed. Fate isn't groundbreaking, but it is easy to play and quickly engrosses you in the game. I particularly like the fact that you can send your pet to town to sell your loot rather than traipsing back and forth yourself every couple of minutes. A good deal and lots of fun for only $20.

    Great downloadable game. Easy to get into, hard to master. I give it a 10 for the value, at only 20 dollars. If it cost more, i would want more game play. Great graphics, neat characters, a bit repetitive.

    Not very innovative, but surprisingly fun. It's a Diablo clone, so if you enjoyed Diablo, you'll like this. I've played other Diablo clones but this one is more fun (even though it may be simpler). You'll get many hours of gameplay for only 20 bucks.

    With FATE now arriving to Steam, I figured I should share how great of a game it is! This is the precursor to Torchlight and Torchlight II. It's a very simple, loot-fest with a never-ending and randomly-generated dungeon. It's an awesome game, it's easy to pick up and put down, doesn't require a lot of commitment or effort and it's very enjoyable. It now even has 1920x1080 resolution,With FATE now arriving to Steam, I figured I should share how great of a game it is! This is the precursor to Torchlight and Torchlight II. It's a very simple, loot-fest with a never-ending and randomly-generated dungeon. It's an awesome game, it's easy to pick up and put down, doesn't require a lot of commitment or effort and it's very enjoyable. It now even has 1920x1080 resolution, which I'm pretty sure was a thing of the future when it was released. Some people are complaining about bugs with the Steam version, I've never had a problem with that one or the WildTangent download. This game is a classic, and it deserves no less than a 10/10. Amazingly fun and simple game, and very nostalgic to me and I'm sure a lot of other people that grew up with this game. It has tons of weapons, multiple skills to learn, and a great system to build your character towards a desired style. If you want to be a wizard, upgrade magic and the multiple magic skill perks. If you want to be a warrior, you can upgrade the type of weapon you want to use as well as your strength and dexterity. Tons of different ways to play it that will keep it interesting despite the very simplistic gameplay. Get it!… Expand

    looks semi good too bad the bugs get on the way. i expected more than just repetitive hacknslash bought it for supporting the company tho. Merry christmas to all gamers

    This game is 10/10 for a reason.
    It started my gaming addiction it used to be the only game I would play ever time I visited my grandma's house. Without this game I would have never started playing games.

    And not long ago i rebought it here on steam its a fun game filled with many quests , dungeons , loot , & monsters to be killed I Have always enjoyed this games art style , and i loved the pet system in this game too. If you are thinking of picking up fate think about it like this If you enjoy torchlight 1 then pick up this Fate    I Love The Fate Games

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I own an old Toshiba laptop which came bundled with Fate and several other "wild-tangent" game demos...
    When i first acquired the laptop, i was without internet, and I needed something to do. So, i bought the full version of "fate" for $9.99 from wildtangent games.
    The game was good overall, the graphics, music, and sound were fun, engaging, and very relaxing.
    You start off as a male "knight" accompanied by a pet dog or cat (you choose in the start menu).
    Your quest begins in a small village, where you learn from village residents that you must venture into a large nearby multi-leveled dungeon, to defeat village-threatening monsters.
    In the dungeon, you collect jewels, weapons, fish for your pet, gold, spells, and power-ups.
    You learn to use spells, one of which returns you to the village from the dungeon in an instant. You interact with villagers, and tell them about your accomplishments. You trade gems, items, and weapons you've found in the dungeon with them.
    You learn to feed your pet different kinds of fish to cause transformations of your pet into dragons, lizards, and other creatures, who aid you in your slaying of dungeon monsters.
    By trading, finding, and buying weapons and spells you become more and more powerful and more able to delve deeper into the dungeon where more powerful monsters reside.
    As you travel back and forth between the dungeon and the village you are given new goals, which when accomplished, are rewarded with items and power ups.
    These are good concepts and make for a good game... however, there is a big problem with this game; there is only ONE! dungeon, and only ONE! village in the entire game!
    After only a few hours of game play, Fate becomes repetitive and boring. It does not progress in a "linear manner", and while this freedom of game play makes for some fun, you eventually find yourself lost and not knowing what to do next.
    Fate's goal-system, is unorganized.
    Its realm of exploration is too small.
    Fate... half game, half gimmick... an experience just about worth its price.    … Expand

    Проходил в свое время, игра неплоха, такой эдакий клон диабло, но играется прикольно и на то время симпатично. 7/10 стоит попробовать пройти

    I played this a lot in my childhood and i still play it today!

    It may look like a diablo but its not. You can feel the different if you play it for yourself ;) may be the nostalgia but i think it is a unique game to grind for hours or to hop in and have a little 1 hour adventure for yourself! For the price you get a lot of playtime and since its now on steam i am so happy to feel my    I played this a lot in my childhood and i still play it today!
