    It's not often you find a game that has got everything right. Far Cry Has it all , from graphics to story line and an action packed FPS Game with incredible AI. If you love FPS Games this one must be in your library.

    This is a great game! Especially because it uses the CRYTEC engine WHICH IS GERMAN!!!!! (which makes it perfect!) I dont have anything to say other than that!

    I wish they had a 9.5 option, as this is what I would have voted. This game is awesome. Graphics are amazing and make the game really immersive. I love crawling through the grass, sniping people from far off and see them run around and try to find me. The grass actually hides you (though you can shoot though it), which is something I dont' think has been in a game yet. Best looking I wish they had a 9.5 option, as this is what I would have voted.     Ive never given a game a perfect 10 before, but in my personal opinion, this is one of the best games I have ever played. I downloaded the demo and it was only a single level, but I played it so much as if it was a full game. Thats because each time you play you can do so many different things.     This game has it all. A great step forward technologically in my opinion. As long as you have the hardware (and even if you do, the knowhow to set it up correctly), you will see some things never before accomplished in the genre.

    Beautiful environments and incredibly human A.I. = damn good game. Yes, it's a bit of a system hog, but if you have a solid rig, this is a must.

    The first game in years that I looked at my watch and said, "holy schnitsky, is it that late?!" Best game I have played in ages, and I've played 'em all. Go to the store now and buy this game. You will not be disappointed!!!!

    This game seemed to come from now where, no hype or big P.R. drive so i knew nothing about it until its release after playing it i have to say it's great fun and exellent graphics everything you look for in a game. Anybody giving this game a low score cant have played it.

    This game has awesome graphics. The people that say it has bad controls....whats wrong with them, its like the same controls on every other fps shooter game. autosave isnt that bad.

    Absolute gem of a game. Fantastic lush scenery (specially if you can run it at full values). The pacing is quite sedate (though not boring), it's not a constant stream of enemies that need blasting but when the action does happen it's intense. I had no problem at all with the save feature (playing on medium).And the highly detailed if slightly cartoon like characters suit the Absolute gem of a game.     THIS GAME ROCKS! I mean where should I start. The A.I is the smartest, levels are HUGE! And it's actually challenging this game is one hell of a ride you'll never forget!

    A good game will be played over. A great game will be played over and over. Far Cry is the game that continues to reveal new ways to accomplish the gametasks. There are almost an unlimited way to travel in the game. If you're tired of crawling through narrow tunnels, Far Cry is the answer. Great story line and graphics too.

    To begin i give this game a 10.... this game is so good its makes me want to touch myself. I have beaten it on its hardest difficulty lvl 3 times. each time has offered new adventures with hidden shortcuts, never before seen areas, and some stuff i never thought AI could do. The amazing thing about this game is as the difficulty level rises, the AI gets better.... so if you play on a wussy difficulty lvl the AI will suck. so dont complain if you cant take the 4 bullets = dead callenge. The AI relies on sound and vision to detect you hence you can use thick underbrush and decoy noise to your advantage... if you play smart, you can kick some ass. if you run in like rambo, you are not gonna have fun.… Expand

    This game has its problems, but it does other things so flawlessly and has so much depth that I'd feel bad if I take a single point from it's score. At least because it would be unfair to give Far Cry the same score that I gave other not-so-good games last week.     In case any of the critics or users haven't gotten the point across, this game has the best graphics ever put in a game...EVER! Sometimes I don't even play the game, I just sit there and admire the beauty that this graphics engine produces.     Stunning Graphics, Stunning gameplay if you ask me. All non-believers say it's a game around an engine, haven't played it till the end. The only thing you can see as mediocre is the story (boy saves girl and saves the world) ; but don't let this discourage you from buying it.

    After playing Far Cry to completion I can honestly say it is one of the best games I have had the joy to play in recent months. Whilst some of the game aspects are a bit sketchy (plot, for example)Far Cry's gameplay and immersive atmosphere make up for any shortcomings in the plot and provide a AAA game.

This game does demand a lot from your PC, but so what? If it had been ugly as a pig, everyone would be whining about how the graphics were lame.     Its everything you wanted. Extremely beautyful game, ai, physic-effects and gameplay, level design, plus it nailed the non-linearness of a game just perfectly. Hey its a true benchmark. HL2 and DOOM3 watch out. If i would be you, i would delay, you can't beat Far Cry its too good!

    Awesome! I'm surprised that some people give it a low rate just because of the save system. Hell, just use the console commands: /save_game and /load_game It's as simple as that...

    This game runs beautifully on my Athlon 2500+ Barton @1.83GHz o/c to 2.4GHz, Gecube Radeon 9800Pro 128MB and 512MB VData DDR400 RAM on an Abit NF7 nForce2 board. I run it at high medium qualtiy with 4xAA 2xAF and it looks superb at 52fps.

    great game, quite hard in spots (if you don't cheat). Graphically tough (on your hardware), but it's worth it. Most realistic game, even compared to HL2, I've ever seen.

    This has to be the most enjoyable game for the computer yet. With it`s unbilivable outdoor graphics, followable story and great internet multiplayer, it has to be the game of the year. The best FPS yet.

    Its March 2007, I got far cry shortly after it came out in 04, I'm still playing the game. Have beet single player at all levels of difficulty. The game is awesome, check out the full fledge single player MOD's (Motto4). Keeps the game going and going. Just wait for Crysis. This company rocks!

    Freaking awesome game. I recommend it to anyone. I've played many games and I believe this to be one of the best ever. The gameplay rocks. I also love how you can replay it with a higher difficulty and it seems to change the entire game, and allows for a whole other way to play it. The graphics are very smooth and look beautiful, even without a gaming monster of a computer. I have Freaking awesome game. I recommend it to anyone.     This is by far the best FPS I've played in a long time. Its gorgeous,but better yet, it ACTUALLY hard. If you play this game on the hard mode you will get so frustrated with it that you will wanna throw your computer out your window. That just makes victory so much sweeter. Gamelplay is AMAZING!!!! the only part i dont like about it is that when u jump down a hill you die easily... not good when playing multiplayer... But other than that its one of the best games ever.... It runs ok with medium detail and 1024x768 res. on my Celery 1.2ghz Radeon 9200, and 512mb SDRAM i am upgrading when i get money so i can This game is AWESOME!!!!!!Graphics are GREAT!!!!!!!     OK . since i notice that there are some guys (including the guy from Thunderbolt ) complaining about far crys not having quick save/load i have something for you : Are you guys blind or just stupid?? . just hit the console and type save_game or load_game and thats it. far cry is the best first person shoter since half-life.

There's just something refreshing about strolling up to someone and blowing their brains out whilst admiring the view. Also, I'm not sure what all this high-range PC stuff is about. My PC cost less than £1000 and it runs Far Cry just fine, although I Well I just started playing Far Cry this after noon, and after my first kill, I felt the happiest I had felt in a while.     This is a great FPS. On of the best game of the year. The environment in which the action take place is breath taking just to look at. I have seen a lot ofcomplaint about the automatic save game, but it actually make the game fun to play and forces you to get better as you play, because once you get at the last 2 levels, you will need all the skill you got.

    The best single player FPS game since Opposing Force for me. Better than Pariah, Painkiller, HL2, and Quake4 (played and finished them all) because of a good plot, the not so scripted gameplay (no Doom3 monster cupboards), and beautiful open levels. It was a stunning achievement that probably is starting to look aged but I can now run it at full quality so for me it still looks good.

    I've found this game to have almost unlimited replayability. First, the island environments are just so stunning you can spend hours simply lolling about chasing fish, annoying the pigs or climbing mountains as you try to catch that elusive view. Finally, Fary Cry has excellent dialogue, a tongue-in-cheek pastiche of the action movies of the 80s. If you have a high end PC and don't mind a bit of violence, you should play this game once you've finished HL2. (Note: I don't play multiplayer).… Expand

This is the greatest shooter ever designed, if rated firstly by the playability, the story setting [graphics artwork], and the pace of the 20 plus chapters of a very cohesive story. out of 22 levels, only one was poorly designed [you are basically defenceless and have to jump into a river and swim underwater thru a gauntlet of trigen. if they saw u jump u will be killed and must start from beginning of the level again. it is just a random thing, i played thru it on all five difficulties, but you can only repeat until u get a "lucky random number" and they didn't see you in time before getting to the other side where the weapons are.
    usually about 5-6 tries before you "make it" to safety and the weapons/chopper. but one dumb level out of 25 great ones is worth enduring. most other fps are wild run-n-gun affairs, no stealth no variety of experience like FAR CRY e.g. vehicles include hang gliders, four-wheelers, powerboats, etc. Weapons combat is also far more realistic with superior sound and graphics! a fps lover's dream! frustrated "adventure" puzzle lovers should stick to the half-life series, this one's for players who have REAL combat experience to compare the game to.    … Expand

    Loved the graphics, loved the game-play, loved the story- an all round great game that I keep coming back to for some fun.

    Far Cry is one of my favorite games! The graphics were and still are to this day amazing! The gameplay is great and the game is very hard, but very rewarding. Excellent!

    When this first came out it blew my mind. Levels so well designed you can choose how you want to complete them, game mechanics are fantastic. Sure the storyline is a bit weak, but who cares when you're having so much fun.

    Great game its a bit blocky but its out of 2004! :D i love this game because there are really cool moments in Far Cry ! I think it's a GREAT game. Now im waiting for that Far Cry 3 come out

    This is a milestone of the first person shooter genre. One of the many great improvements is the big location that leads you to many ways to come to your goal. The other milestone is the engine: even today this game looks great, obviously the engine is written perfectly. In addition dont forget the great art design to use that engine.

    I like the idea with the little minimap for one reason: it makes the game like a hunt to kill the enemies. Unfortunately the AI is most of the time stupid, so the whole game is very easy. But sometimes the AI is good and coordinate to hunts you, especially in the open fields.

    Far Cry is a Solid FPS I have experienced in the past, Its was damn Challenging Indeed (I cant beat it in Easy, But Managed to beat it in the 'Realistic' Difficulty') , The game deserves a 9.9/10, I Minus one point for Messy Checkpoints that is not arranged well (Don't wanna save? 'Saving game'... Killed a Boss? No **** )
    I wist they release a Ported version of Far-cry Instincts for PC.

    This was my first PC game I finished when I was 13 year old. It is a fantastic game and still is until this day. It has many different maps and variety of gameplay, it had fantastic graphics when it was released and the graphics still not that bad for being a 2004 game.     This game is the best game form series for me. It's really challenging, hardcore and great designed for year 2004. You'll repeat some missions many times. It'll get annoying about 8th try. But don't give up, it's worth it.

Still to this day that game can empress with it's graphich aspects. By the way, this is probably also the most hardest Far Cry title. You'll need to get some skills if you want to pass it.     I've been playing Far Cry since they were released. I can say that the first version from the point of view of fun, was the best in the whole series! My first hours of play were unforgettable. The game mechanics, the style of play and the excitement that the game brought, was wonderful!

Great strory, even it is shallow and mainly, it has EPIC mutants motherfukas, which want to jump on you from every corner. It is hell of a ride. Better than call of duty, yet looks realistic. Graphics are amazing on that time! Realistic models.

    YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW. It was so realistic, that i think in germany it was... They had to reduce violence, because even adults were shocked. Play Far Cry demo!

    I am absolutely hardcore fan of this game!!! I finished it over 100 times, heck maybe 200 times on realistic only one time :D as one level was crazy!

    Story: you take role of hardcore soldier, marooned on a island, after being contacted by undercover CIA agent, where mad scientist - Kruger makes biological experiements on animals and people to create super soldiers! It is crazy hell of ride, whole game. And it is tactical and difficult!

    Original levels, EPICness on scale out of proportions. It is like living movie. Also it has insane depth on 3d glasses. And i think this game would absolutely ROCK on VR. I can't think of better game for VR, except F.E.A.R!

    1200. 10/10 Back in 2004, it was one of the most beautiful games on the market (besides Half Life 2). Gunplay is OK, as well as the story, but remember, it's a game from 2004, so at the time it was insane!!!

    I love Dragon games there are so few on the market, so when i saw Dragon Rage i had to buy it and i haven't regreted my desicion! The graphics are good and they have made Cael one wicked Dragon, his flying is just so real these people have done their homework!

    The game has plenty going for it. Most notably the AI which rivals just about any human that I've played against. What is most interesting is that the AI plays fair. It doesn't have ESP.

    It's like being stranded right smack in the middle of an action-packed B grade movie, and while I'd probably fall asleep half way through the flick, I stayed wide awake and my adrenaline was pumping as mad while playing Far Cry.
