    This is the most underrated Far Cry game. The world is so cool and the two rival tribes add a lot to the world. The combat is so satisfying, the characters are so interesting, and the language is a really cool addition. The main story is also very cool and follows a very intriguing tale. This game encapsulates the Far Cry charm in a very interesting setting.

    Not going to write a real detailed review since the game is ~7 years old, but just did a recent re-play of it, and it's still a lot of fun. This was my first playthrough with an HDR monitor, too, and that really made a big difference in the color of this particular game.

    Mechanics were a lot of fun, the world was pretty, the story was well-told and I enjoy the beast-taming mechanics.    Not going to write a real detailed review since the game is ~7 years old, but just did a recent re-play of it, and it's still a lot of fun. This was my first playthrough with an HDR monitor, too, and that really made a big difference in the color of this particular game.

    Mechanics were a lot of fun, the world was pretty, the story was well-told and I enjoy the beast-taming mechanics.

    Strongly recommended.

    Game play length is around 31 hours to do 100% completion.

    This game got bad user reviews.....because...umm?? Because no guns?? Honestly i never understood hate for this game. Anyone who buys this game should already know that it takes place 10 000 years ago, what did you expect? This is solid, even from "time travel" perspective, there are so many cool extinct animals and overall vibe of this game is really chill/relaxing.

    Fan boys cry and complain about this and rate it poorly because they have too much bias based on previous titles. I love when a franchise creates something unique and provides a fresh new world with the loved formula people enjoy. No other developer has done a caveman themed FPS game before and hasn't after this so this game is a gorgeous display of ingenuity.
    Don't play this for a Far    Fan boys cry and complain about this and rate it poorly because they have too much bias based on previous titles. I love when a franchise creates something unique and provides a fresh new world with the loved formula people enjoy. No other developer has done a caveman themed FPS game before and hasn't after this so this game is a gorgeous display of ingenuity.
    Don't play this for a Far Cry experience, or you'll disappoint yourself. Play this for an ancient civilisation story RPG experience and you'll be delightfully satisfied.    … Expand

    Lots of Far Cry fans don't seem to understand that the whole point of this entry was to be different. Slower paced, more relaxing, wilderness 10 000 years ago, no guns, etc. That was the whole point, to make something different and in my opinion it worked. Now there's two types of Far Cry games to play FC3 and Primal and that's great. This game is so much better and more enjoyable than FarLots of Far Cry fans don't seem to understand that the whole point of this entry was to be different.     The last good Far Cry. I don't understand why it's so low-rated on Metacritic. Great game overall. Very atmospheric, the gameplay is fun, the story is ok. It's not as great as FC3 and 4, mainly because there are no guns. You're fighting mostly with sticks, stones, arrows, spears which I understand is not as fun as rifles. I also don't like the owl mechanic - could be just optional X-rayThe last good Far Cry. I don't understand why it's so low-rated on Metacritic. Great game overall.     Game is quite fun although some systems / tasks can get quite repetitive.

    Dont let the lack of guns dissuade you, combat can be an absolute blast!

    Despite everyone else I really liked this game, no other game plays in this era, relatable story, gameplay was OK too.

    Одна из лучших игр Ubisoft. От Far Cry я обычно ничего хорошего не жду, но эта часть серии приятно удивила.

    In all honesty I don't really see what's to hate about it. Sure, it is a bit of a grind and the events might feel repetitive at times but, really?     Primal had me gripped heavy to my screen trying to understand all that the world had to offer. I loved taming animals and riding them around. I loved running and seeing the wildlife. I think that people expected some intense gameplay like other titles in the series but instead were met with something I felt was more down to earth.

    Remains one of my favourites in the series and I doubt that'll change anytime soon.    … Expand

So let me tell you what I think about the game. Right from the start, I would say that I like Far Cry Primal and therefore I am one of his fans, but I say more because I would rather take a quill than a flint. Far Cry Primal had anFar Cry Primal caught quite mixed opinions. For someone, a great change. For some, crap and for some, the fact that this is the best part of the series. So let me tell you what I think about the game. Right from the start, I would say that I like Far Cry Primal and therefore I am one of his fans, but I say more because I would rather take a quill than a flint. Far Cry Primal had an interesting idea to throw a series of prehistoric jackets, which I think worked and surprisingly very well. At Far Cry, I always had weapons and some location (preferably an island) for that, but I must say that prehistory was also great, it had its charm. Graphically, the game was about it, I would say perhaps the same as Far Cry 4. I would not see any problem with that. Far Cry 4 does look beautiful. What? So this also applies to Primal. The story here may be a little worse compared to the already mentioned four or not at all three, because it was something unreal about the story, mainly thanks to Vaas. Vaas was simply the best villain that Ubisoft can hardly beat, but for example Pagan was also great and the villains are also great here. Yes, there are negatives. We have more of them here. Everyone has their own base that you have to recharge. Of course, you can't do that right at the beginning and you have to improve a lot. The enhancements here work for the style of three and four. Nothing new. Nothing wrong. But what is new is the opportunity to tame the game, which I warmly welcome. Having such a wolf by your side is really great. Yes. We could ride an elephant at the age of four, for example, but here in Primal we have the opportunity to call the animals directly and have them on our side while playing. The environment is beautiful and I was really impressed by the atmosphere of prehistory.

    I'M NOW TO MOVE SLOWLY TO SPOILERS

    I would just like to warn you that if you have read my review here, I would like to assure you that you will get the end of the game only after the improvement of the village. Yes. You can take all the bad guys dead at the end of the game, but you won't get the headlines, so I didn't know what to do with it, and then I found out after reading on various forums that it was necessary to improve my seat. No need for max. Unfortunately, I don't really know how much myself, but simply after some improvement, you should see the final cut-scene, which ends the story. But why am I telling you all this? Because I was a little disappointed after the finish and I thought I expected something more from the end. Not that the final cut-scene would be masterful, but at least the story will end.    … Expand

    This game is tons of fun ! Try the survival mode if you really want to get into it. The graphics are amazing and run on high with my old setup gtx 970. The optimization of this game is incredible. Really cool locations with breathtaking views in this prehistoric paradise. The story is simple but it is compelling and I love the Neanderthals language. They put a lot of effort in this gameThis game is tons of fun ! Try the survival mode if you really want to get into it. The graphics are amazing and run on high with my old setup gtx 970.     with you **** clear what kind of **** critics you are who can't really talk about the game, its pros and cons.You just just smeared the game with **** and everyone thinks so,but you didn't really understand what the game is about,you're always chasing far cry 3, so I personally liked far cry primal game 10 out of 10.     Thanks for the game! Everything is great! The developers took a really interesting topic and were quite able to implement it. Waiting for the next part ("Primal 2").

    What deserves a huge applause is, I think, the level of accuracy the developers achieved while sending us back 12000 years ago, at the dawn of mankind.     I'm a bit interested in archeology/antropology/
    and overall it was a very unique and beautiful experience. I will never forget the moment when I first left my cave at night and at the enterance there were 2 of my tribesmen sitting by the fire, looking and awing to the infinite number of skies at the night time.    … Expand

    A truly underrated game. One of the best games ever. It would be much better accepted by the community if it weren't a Far Cry. My favorite game. Everything you ever wanted in a video game. It never gets boring and a very interesting concept. It can make a person dream and it never stops being exciting.

    Primitive gameplay cycle of Far Cry, placed in primitive world, suddenly starts to make sense, and even story doesn’t feel as barebones and perfunctory as usual. Here, you’re not playing as a skinny frat boy who suddenly discovers a talent for killing hardened soldiers but ultimately just wants to get back to civilization – you’re a hunter who simply wants to become respectable leader of his tribe with a personal luxury cave.
