    The writing in essence is a metaphor for the post American world, but that's about all that's good about the game. It plays identically to Fallout 3 with strange npc's spread out throughout the wasteland to interact with. Even though people will say the writing is "brilliant" someone wisely pointed out to me once that the entire story comes off as a bit odd.

    Everyone told me this game was excellent and I have to wonder if we even played the same video game. It’s a crash-ridden walking simulator that actively avoids feeling rewarding. It’s a shooter that disincentivizes shooting, a roleplaying game with hardly any moments to roleplay, an open-world game that punishes you for exploring in directions the game didn’t want you to, and I don’t thinkEveryone told me this game was excellent and I have to wonder if we even played the same video game.     O jogo dispoem de mecanicas e universo muito bem feitos, com uma gameplay simples mas divertida, bem como uma serie de side-quest legais e profundas que contribuem com a imersão e desenvolvimento do universo.....porem os bugs acabam com tudo, bugs visuais, bugs de save, crashs, bugs, bugs e mais bugs! This mess of a video game, if it even deserves to be called a video game, is full of banally crafted and totally unoriginal or ridiculous factions.     After playing fallout 4 everyone told me to play new vegas, saying it was better. Boy could that be any further from the truth. Think of my confusion. in many cases when you attack a hostile evil faction, such as the powder gangers or the legion, the game will deduct karma when you take stuff from their camp. this game uses hype to its advantage, things are talked up way higher than they pan out to be. The best example is New vegas, it's in the title, but when you get there its simply two cells and a couple of mindless NPCs walking around, they at least try to make excuses for their laziness though, like the vault in New vegas which has been cemented over cause I guess the devs got lazy or something. All the weapons are just real-world weapons or stuff left over from fallout 3, It's supposed to top be a wasteland but it is so built up that it doesn't feel that way. The muddy colours really make you dread playing. The game does have many choices, but they don't normally play out, instead the characters stand around until you finish the game where the announcer tells you what happened, what happened to show not tell. Lastly, many of the items and themes feel to modern, many of the guns fit the fallout universe but an equal amount don't, the m16 teeters on the line of what fits and what doesn't but many other weapons simply break pre-established canon by being present. All-in-all I would have given this game a little bit of a better rating if it was not over-hyped to me. For the fallout franchise's sake, I hope Bethesda steers clear of Obsidian entertainment in the future.… Expand

    Bethesda has proven that they know who they're games are made (fallout franchise) and that is of the simple minded fanboy, they don't care about good intelligent story telling they just want easy to digest content in the form of caps, nuckacola, rad roatches and the brotherhood of steel so they can play and feel invested in a franchise    sadly we wont be getting another game like this :'(

    This is simply an unfinished game.
    Graphically and aesthetics in general are poor at best. Storyline and choices system is lacking. Gameplay is meh.

    FNV is fairly old now but it does not feel old, the game is rich of exploring the Mojave wasteland. Sometimes the game is peaceful as you are wandering a deserted town, other times it is intense and scary as you are being chased by one of those damn cazadors on a mountain. Fnv is a true rpg full of life and those creepy deserted vaults. Fallout is one of my favorite series and fnv is theFNV is fairly old now but it does not feel old, the game is rich of exploring the Mojave wasteland.     I played this game in 2020. I am a longtime fallout fan and i can say the game is great! It has a very solid story, certainly more compelling and detailed than even fallout 4. Gameplay is great, shoutout to the sound design and the choice of weapons (so glad they included the M1 Garand).

    There are a ton of choices to make that certainly feel difficult and have an impact later in the    I played this game in 2020. I am a longtime fallout fan and i can say the game is great! It has a very solid story, certainly more compelling and detailed than even fallout 4. Gameplay is great, shoutout to the sound design and the choice of weapons (so glad they included the M1 Garand).

    There are a ton of choices to make that certainly feel difficult and have an impact later in the game. In general the flow of the game felt great.

    The downside is that the game is riddled with glitches. Expect to load autosaves often as some quests will break and you will suddenly be stuck in between pixels or in a wall. It was especially annoying to see the last quest of the game glitch, when the tension was high and I was expecting a climax.

    Graphics dont hold out fort this generation but that is to be expected. Even though the mojave desert is immersive, it lacks cool, outstanding places to visit.

    Tremendamente aburrido, un mundo vacío, hasta feo, sin gracia, no me ha interesado nada. He jugado al Fallout 3 previamente. Lo dejé la primera vez a la mitad y la segunda vez, cuando decidí darle una oportunidad después de un tiempo, lo he dejado a las puertas de acabarlo, sin haber encontrado lo que le da tan buenas críticas. No es para mí.

    And The Game really Sucks. The map Is empty and boring. The Gameplay Just Same as Fo3 but with iron Sights. Story is terrible and characters was Forgettable. At Least I Played it for free! he he he he.

    A truly disappointing game. As hyped up as many people made it seem it certainly did not live up to its “legacy”. You start off in a bland and boring world, with a color pallet reminded me of post-hangover piss. The entire game is like this unfortunately.

Their motivations are straightforward at best, cliche at worst. The story is boring and fails to get your attention. It is a story you can easily tell was made by people who did not care about what they were making akin to the Minions movie or the Emoji movie. People who needed a story and undoubtedly wrote it in an afternoon. The studio needed a story rather than someone having a story to tell.

    So if not for the story, what reason is there to play? That’s a question I sought to answer and failed. The fighting is bland and unserviceable. The enemies rarely respond to their environment instead opting to either stand as idle sims with their rifles or run to you shooting you until either you or them run out of health.

    So if not for the gunplay or the story what’s the reason to play? Well considering those are the only things in the game that were given any attention, there’s really nothing to do. This game is easily the greatest disappointment in gaming. I genuinely had a better time with fallout 76 and Tactics. Do yourself a favor and just read the story summary on Wikipedia. I’ll genuinely say that would at least be more enjoyable as you wouldn’t have had to waste time on this godforsaken game.    … Expand

    ты например можешь переспасть с тем кто тебя убил и во сне его-же убить. или ты можешь в самом первом квесте не защитить Гудспрингс ,а наоборот подорвать его.

    в общем Игра отличная, хотя есть немного багов, например гекон который застрял в КАМНЕ (его так даже убить нельзя)    … Expand

    An incredibly overrated game which should've done much better considering it is built off of the already existing assets of the game: Fallout 3. For a sandbox game, it is boring to explore and there are a small amount of unmemorable scripted encounters. NPCS are touted as having so much better dialogue and writing than other entries. However, many repeat the same information as the last person you spoke to and it feels like you're getting constant exposition dumps thrown at you. If you don't like the humor then you're going to have a bad time. As per usual, there are the familiar charming little bugs that come with the games in this engine.

    Being newer than Fallout 3, there are some small improvements such as crafting, hardcore mode and the companion wheel. My favourite thing about this game is how the companions have personal quests and a variety of ending slides. You cannot however play past these slides. The reputation system is also a nice touch and ensures that some of the towns will remember your actions: good or bad.

    There are many factions to enhance the worldspace and the ability to disguise as a member of them is a really fun mechanic. Unfortunately, they are not all fully fleshed out and it can feel limiting to play siding with them. The DLC also adds backstory to your character in the middle of the game! I do not feel that this makes it a good roleplaying experience as you may have to rewrite everything to fit these events. You are also still limited to being a courier, which I do not mind. It is not the entirely open character for you to create though. Oh and J.Sawyer says you're not allowed to have amnesia so don't go roleplaying like that as you may have wanted to. Your courier has the option to ask things that they should definitely know given the events of Lonesome Road. I prefer the other protagonists where you get at least a little snippet of their life to build upon in unique ways.

    The introduction is very weak. It needed more than just a cutscene and does not establish the setting well to players new to the series. Whilst Goodsprings does introduce you to elements of the game such as combat and choices, it feels disconnected to the main plot. Many of the main quests feel like side quests and are poorly designed. Come Fly With Me is one of the worst offenders with so much backtracking! It is the only time i have ever felt the need to enter "movetoqt" into the console.

    Ultimately, I do not feel like this game works well with the sandbox that it was put in. Despite having a short development time and unfamiliar tools, it doesn't really justify the quality of the game as it was hardly made from scratch with existing assets and story from the cancelled Fallout: Van Buren. For example, Dragon Age 2 had miles better writing in it's short development time.

    Whilst a vocal few fans state that this is the best in the series, I'd only rate it above Fallout 76 and BOS as a fan of over 10 years. It is a poor introduction to the series and has put many friends and family off of the series entirely. Which is really a shame! The original Fallout 1 is a much better one to play. If it is too old for your liking, Fallout 3 and 4 are incredibly fun to play and still have excellent moral choices and roleplaying options with strong exploration to weave into your characterisation.    … Expand

    The game genuinely looks terrible for the year it was created in. Mods are required to make it an ok experience but otherwise its pretty bad. The story and locations are well written and it adds a lot to the lore, but the gameplay, guns and combat all feels really clunky.

It takes everything good about Fallout 3 (and I might have said Fallout 4, Fallout 76 andWhat a game guys, and I can honestly say that in an incredibly negative way. For anyone not inclined to read further (and I know that unlike me, Vodd Lowhard, many aren't brave enough to take a view like this), Fallout New Vegas sucks. It takes everything good about Fallout 3 (and I might have said Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Skyrim, which is worth buying on the Nintendo 3DS when it comes out in Q3 2020, if Fallout New Vegas hadn't come out before them). Herein outlines why:

    1) The engine is terrible. When Bethesda, run by the genius Todd Howard (who is not me, Rod Saward) came up with the engine for their games in 1467, they had a purpose in mind. A goal. A vision. Something that was achieved, and then iterated upon again and again, to utter perfection. However, we, and by we, I mean us the public, and definitely not Todd Howard and his epic team of great people who are all the best at programming, realised the fact that it wouldn't last, so we updated it. The team that developed Fallout New Vegas and that awful looking new "Spouter Morlds" game (I think it's called that?) apparently didn't get the memo, and didn't update the engine or even bother to write a new engine from scratch. Pathetic. However, there is still value in older games, such as Skyrim, coming to PS Vita Q2 2021.

    2) The story. I'm sorry, but if I was invested in the confusingly boring type of story that Fallout New Vegas has decided to tell, I would go and read an intellectually heavyweight book like Charlie and the chocolate factory. Unfortunately, they've decided to jam something of that length into a game where it really doesn't belong, and you can really feel it with how jarring the number of dialogue options is in the conversations. A good example of dialogue in a game would be Skyrim (which I hear is coming to Stadia Q4 2024) or Fallout 4. A simple 4 options. Easy to understand. Perfect to play, so what if it "lacks complexity" or "is for babies". If I were Todd Howard, (and I am not, for I am Codd Mallard) I would be deeply upset by such a misunderstanding of my games. Good on him for being such a trooper and good developer

    3) The variety of weapons. There was absolutely no need for the 8 million and 4 available weapons in game (I counted them all myself). Why have different things when you could have a great system like in fallout 4, where everything follows a theme and looks lovely and in place. Why couldn't they have done that? Or Skyrim for another example. If Skyrim had had the insane number of weapons as New Vegas- the sheer bonkers number, we would not have been able to fit it into a UMD disc, exclusively for the PSP E1000 street model 2037 Q2.

    In summary. It's just not great. I couldn't give it higher than a 0, not without compromising my integrity as a fan of good, fun, enjoyable games. Play it if you want, but honestly, you'd be better off with Skyrim, which I've heard is coming to Blackberry OS devices Q1 2021, or better yet, Fallout 76.    … Expand

    Pros:
    -More thrilling plot: (revenge)
    -Better side quests.
    -More beautiful and less restrictive environment (sandbox- literally the desert).

    Cons:
    -Buggy and choppy as can be.
    -Poor ass inventory management. OMG it is awful. There is too much crap to carry. the player is not left with much sense of what is useful to keep with them.
    -Some armored enemies are bullet / laser / grenade sponges. It takes too long to defeat such enemy AI even while targeting the models head.
    -Only the combat perks are useful. Just forget all builds except the combat intensive builds. No use for the survivalist where the desert is just still punishing. (dehydration and not way around it)
    -Poor main plot quest narrative. Player rarely experiences the primary plot throughout the game.
    -All the mods that are available and I cannot get a single one to function without crashing the game. I've gone through all the directions to install and they all bug the game out to where it crashes (steam version).    … Expand

    New Vegas is an example of a company relying on brand recognition to sell a product regardless of actual quality. Fallout 3 was a prime example of bringing a franchise to a different medium and style and the story (plus expansions) are some of the greatest in the Fallout franchise.

    Aparto la vista de todas esas cosas, y me encuentro con un juego que me presenta decisiones morales que podrían ser interesantes, pero que no me aporta ninguna información, y pretende que me decante por una opción o por la otra prácticamente a ciegas.
    Además, parece que los líderes de todas las facciones del juego son gilipollas, con lo que nunca podré estar enteramente de parte de una u otra, simplemente escogeré quién me parece menos subnormal y le ayudaré a él.

    Busco ayuda sobre una misión bugeada y resulta que esa misión puede bugearse de varias formas distintas, así que simplemente buscar en google "Fallout New Vegas [Nombre_misión] bug" no es suficiente para encontrar lo que busco, ya que me encontraré con sabe dios cuántos posibles bugs.     The interface looks cool but is a total pain to use. There are no keyboard hotkeys, which means switching weapons or healing requires browsing through the full menu each time!
    Combat feels unbalanced (Oblivion and Skyrim were slightly better here) ranging from ok to frustratingly tedious or difficult. The difficulty of various foes often does not match with the expectations the game lore may give you. Enemies run around without any movement inertia making them frustratingly difficult to aim at. Hitbox detection is not great, and your bullets are often blocked by invisible walls if they pass near geometry. I also had lots of enemies get stuck behind geometry, with only legs clipping through the wall. Worst of all, at one point, my gun would not fire bullets – I would hear and see the gun fire, and the ammo counter would work, but no bullets – I got eaten alive, both ingame and in terms of frustration.
    The mod experience was bad: I could not get most mods to work despite following all instructions etc. The mod scene may be vibrant, but it is still a total mess. It lacks curatorial refinement and there are no “1-click install” total-overhaul supermods (like the “complete” mod series for the Stalker games).

    Buried underneath all the flaws is a good game, and you might find it, but I gave up after days of digging.    … Expand

The loading time is still ridiculous, and the game still has that "lifeless" feel to it.     This game is indeed an elder scroll with fallout theme, with an extremely large map including lots of waste land, which serves no value to either plot or adventure. The game is made just like a survival game rather than the good old epic classic RPG game, completely deviating from the ideas of Fallout.

    Simply copying the VATS from a tactical game to a FPS game won't work. It is just plain boring when using that ability in FPS, slowing down the pace too much.

    At last, some more polishing should be done to the UI. No one wants to watch an inventory item menu flooded with words only, even Fallout 1 and 2 have icons associated with the items. What a great mess and disaster to look at the menu when you have lots of items.    … Expand

I tried to play New Vegas and didn't feel the same. Just felt that the world was to big and empty. 75 percent of the game is spent running from one place to another with very little to do or fight in between.     But somehow Fallout new Vegas managed to feel so dry and empty like beeing stranded in a desert. You will encounter so few gunfights, that you'll wish you could just raid camps and all the enemy stations.
    But you can't.
    I was asking myself all the time:
    "Why the hell am I scavenging all that ammunition and bottlecaps when there are so few enemies you can pump full of led?"

    After 10 hours of time-consuming navigation I caught myself trying to rush through the story, only for the hope of some big scale battles. But after at least 25 Hours arriving and leaving Vegas I gave up.

    Prepare to spent more time walking, and walking and walking instead of meeting interesting places or people.

    Don't get me wrong: You CAN find at least 3 interesting places. They will suck you in with a dark and spooky atmosphere. I won't spoil it, but New Vegas isn't one of them.
    Neither is it a surprise you'll arrive there nor is it a really spectacular place.
    Most People there will tell you some generic gibberish and the quests in there are so ... meaningless.

    Most of the Quests are annoying chores that let you scout empty places for hours only to find out that at least one skill is insufficient to complete it (mostly your speech-skill!).

    Then there are so many illogical design-flaws that pop up randomly and destroy all imersion.
    -Many doors that are just painted textures and can't be opened.
    -The flaw in stealing from bad guys (why does the game randomly punish my karma when I rob the psycho bad guys?!).
    - you meet some high-ranked guys for the faction you work, but they don't have any quest to give you!
    - You don't have any impact on the lazy written "War" of the different factions!
    Noone will say any word to you beside their random gibberish!
    - doors and gates that are closed until you progress the main"story", or more: Keep yourself squeezing the path the game has chosen for you.

    This game only left wasted 40 hours and a sore forehead from all the facepalming.

    This may be an overused sentence in rating games, but this feels really like an overpriced DLC or even mod for Fallout 3.
    Don't buy it and wait for Fallout 4!    … Expand

    New Vegas is a complete developmental screwup. Everything that is important to the primary/important content, the factions and New Vegas and the plot, was stupidly deprioritized in favor of stuffing the game with frivolous irrelevant sidequests. It’s hard to process just how bad the content prioritization and presentation is. The making of easily cut content like the Boomers, Thorn, Jacobstown, rocket ghouls, etc, came at the cost of desperately needed faction quests and fleshing out. The entire main questline is padded with these sidequests to stretch it out, only ending up emphasizing how little you connect or get involved with the character and the factions. The Faction “system” is really just deciding which questgiver you want to receive your nearly identical selection of mandatory sidequests from. The reputation system is basically pointless, rarely amounting to anything other then NPC banter.

    People claim the writing is great, I found it dull and uninspired. The dialogue options are bland and soulless, clearly designed for a blank slate character and not one with actual personality. NPC quality varys greatly but tend to suffer from directionless voice acting. I’ve heard characters talk about their squadmates being raped in the same tone they use to complain about patrolling the Mojave. Not even kidding. The writing in the DLCs is pretty weak to boot, with Old World Blues actually being surprisingly involving and funny to boot while Lonesome Road may have the most incompetent, full of crap, and definitionally pretentious writing I’ve even seen in a RPG, outside of a Mass Effect sequel. Pains me to think one of Planescape:Torment’s writers was involved in that dreck.

    The world map is awfully designed, offering no incentive to explore what is ultimately a linear doughnut dotted with invisible walls, uninteresting and unrewarding locations, NO random encounters, and amateurly placed blatant progression Many things that worked fine in the previous game, like the radio and VATS, were and still are broken and glitchy. While I liked how there were more skill/stat checks, most of the other added features like ammo types (which were bugged at launch. Pretty sure they were bugged in the first two Fallouts too. How do you not learn how to program that in twenty years?) are easily forgotten. And I don’t think I need to bring out how buggy it is. Suffice to say the public had made it clear that it is utter unacceptable to ship a game with this amount of game-breaking and save-wiping glitches.

    The sad thing is that it’s clear that this game could have been good, even great, if it had been developed properly. And it’s even sadder that people feel the need to overrate it based on the standard of games this developer made twenty years ago, or worse based on what the game COULD have been like rather then what it IS. It doesn’t hold up to other RPGs. It doesn’t even hold up to other Obsidian games. New Vegas is, sadly, a weak unfulfilling game and a weak unfulfilling RPG.    … Expand

    Boring, boring, boring. Thats the only thing i can think about this game when i play it. Its combat is slow and clunky, its missions are uninspired, and youll find yourself spending 80% of your time wandering the wasteland doing nothing. I guess im just not a fan of the Fallout series.

    It had great potential, it really did. But, if you don't like grey, cold vaults and an endless dusty Nevada - this game is not for you. The quests get boring after a while, it mainly seems like the same thing. Had nothing that The Elder Scrolls series had. I'll be honest, The Elder Scrolls: Arena (1994) was a better game than this.

    Probably most boring game ever. If we put aside graphics from around 1997. this game is still boring. To play that you don't need any shooting skills at all. If you want a lot of playing hours just to walk and talk around you buy this game.

I've checked every single fix they've listed online, and nothing has helped; I've even updated my drivers. It opens, and then immediately crashes, and I'm not the only one with this problem. 0/10.

Sure, fallout 3 and NV pulled the series to 3d and open, and i admit it was kind of fun, but that fun was ruined by the major bugs, freezes, glitches and crashes i experienced on my copy. it happened on my PC,ps3 and 360 copies so its not my system. This is a very crap game that does not deserve afor what was a very creative and fun game series, fallout NV and 3 set an all time low. Sure, fallout 3 and NV pulled the series to 3d and open, and i admit it was kind of fun, but that fun was ruined by the major bugs, freezes, glitches and crashes i experienced on my copy. it happened on my PC,ps3 and 360 copies so its not my system. This is a very crap game that does not deserve a sequel. If 4 gets made, it must not be developed by obsidian and not use that crap gamebryo engine. I cant even tell you how bad the DLC makes it.     Im over all disappointed about this game. it is nothing more than a new map and quest-line. an expansion to fallout 3. yet without the same fantastic glow of innovation and freshness. Great game until you come to find that the game doesn't end as Fallout 3 with the DLCs, where you could continue playing the same player after you finish the main game. I really don't get this from the developers, it's just lazy and ridiculous. If you want to play any DLC you have to load a previous save file as if you have never finished the game. I will never buy a product from Bethesda until it is in the 20-30$ price range. I'm just so disapointed. This gamehad sooooo much potential but unfortunently, IMHO, the worst game of all time.     Not worth a complete playthrough, too much brown, exactly the same as FO:3 only a rehash

    I never finished this game because I didnt feel like it was worth it, and for the couple of hours I did play, it wasn't really fun

    FO:3 had an amazing beginning, and being unleashed into the world like that really made that game stand out

    FO:NV attempts to copy that with failed results

Another good mod is Real Time Settler, although it is buggy at the moment, this was a great mod for FO3 that let you create your own little village which you had to be with CONSTANTLY otherwise it would fail!.

    Overall, New Vegas is a pretty shoddy sequel for a game that had so much impact on the gaming world.    … Expand

    A shame. New Vegas would have been great, but it's ridiculously buggy. Clearly a game rushed out way too soon. I've no idea how it got an average of 86 with such glaring lack of polish and a battery of game breaking bugs. Only worth buying on a discount AND once the game has been sufficiently patched.

    I loved fallout 3, but new vegas just seems old, dated, slow and boring. It is pretty much the same game just worse, or maybes fallout 3 wasn't really that good after all and when i was playing it i had nothing better to do. I don't know, all I know is this game is boring, I played it for a week then had no desire to play again. Such a shame.

However, the Gamebryo engine is beginning to feel dated; It usually looks fine, but loading screens between doorways, the limited NPC population and the lack of views to underpin context add to a collective impression of unreality. Since NV uses the same graphics as FO3, it surprised me that NV shuns years of modding and DLC content by making this a 'new game', when it should have been implemented as a full expansion; Our FO3 character could easily have been asked to courier the Chip from, say, Rivet City to New Vegas and found ourselves confronted with Benny, allowing for a seamless merge. For those of us who have tweaked FO3 to our liking since '08, being dragged back to a 'Vanilla' world is a stark reminder of the flaws that mods have fixed (unless you are a console-gamer). I could have excused the game for occasional crashes and glitches, and I understand that the emphasis is now on the console-market, but the trigger that turned my mind from "give it a chance" to "this is dull" was the awful immersion. This was achieved by the inane AI, the primitive patchwork world, the poorly/lazily constructed story & narration, and the implausible architecture. My zero score is for balance. My true score would be 3, for its efforts to add 'Hardcore', improve the implementation of skills when dealing with NPC's, and some other beneficial but superficial improvments. NV's increased linearity irks me slightly as well. I hope ID Software graces Bethesda with a better 3D engine for TES V:Skyrim.… Expand

I refuse to believe that this game is "so big that it's impossible to properly test it" excuse given by them.     I've patched, tweaked, etc. and I just can't get those save games to load again (the backups also don't work)...if I'd know this before I could probably have just replayed the same bits over again instead of trying to fix it but now I'm afraid to commit any more time to this with the same problem repeating itself later on. Quite frankly I'm going to try and get my money back for this bug infested excuse of a release.    … Expand

    I'm giving this a 2. FO:NV feels like Elder Scrolls ported into Fallout 3 and given a slap of user forum content feedback veneer and released while in beta.

    A piss poor PC port using a dated engine, bringing nothing new to the table; FTW example of how to milk a franchise without improving the game. If you MUST buy it, expect bugs, crashes, graphic instabilities galore.

    Positives: Obsidian does a MUCH better job of writing story lines and quests than Bethesda did. Good voice acting. New environment and (slight) movement forward in terms of the Fallout canon. Negatives: Its still Oblivion (LOLblivion) with guns. As others have posted, you think they would've improved the game engine and graphics by now! The VATS system makes the game laughably easy and you can kite any enemy in the game. If you play the game without VATS, the NPCs dodge and weave like a weasel on crack all while maintaining pinpoint accuracy. Although the stories for each quest is better, the execution is still murky at best as one wrong dialogue choice cuts off entire quests. Certain quests are only offered under poorly designed circumstances with NPCs not reacting to successful completions or acting as if you DIDN"T just save their whole city from bad guys. Final analysis: Rushed out to market before true completion in a manner typical of Bethesda. This is essentially DLC for Fallout 3 that they tried (and failed) to pass off as a stand alone game. Although the fan boys, "independent reviewers" and paid Bethesda employees will seek to skew these rating sites, the proof is in the lackluster sales and general negative, poor opinion of Bethesda.    … Expand

So let's say you get 4 hours into the game and then crash or restart, guess what? Next time you run the game you lose 4 hours of playtime and start at the beginning. Invisible walls are everywhere, can't hike up a hill without running into one. Also enemies have a habit ofBuggy POS.     Fallout: New Vegas looks like an Add On to Fallout 3, but that should not mean, that it's a copy of its forerunner. It scores with an great atmosphere, nice story and all the typical and awesome Fallout features.
