    Let's face it, this game is old: the UI is clunky, the combat is frustrating, the graphics are buggy, and the story is linear. But the game completely immerses us in its oldness through atmosphere alone.

    Bethesda Game Studios makes some of the most astonishing single player experiences someone can have gaming, and Fallout 3 is no exception. This game distances itself from the old ones and sometimes feels like a mockup of that classics, but either way still one of the best RPGs I ever played.

    The game was really dark and atmospheric when it came out. A solid feeling of a post-apocalyptic world, cruelty everywhere, characters have believable stories and quests. The disadvantages include a rather high difficulty, but it also adds more sense of survival

    Un auténtico MUST. Bethesda hizo una auténtica obra maestra allá por 2008 y se ha convertido en un juego de culto. El mundo abierto, los personajes, las casi infinitas posibilidades que te ofrece este título, TODO, es una simbiosis perfecta que da lugar a uno de los mejores RPG de todos los tiempos.

    An incredible game, just replayed it this week to see if it still holds up and I was immediately so immersed in the incredible atmosphere of the beautifully realized DC wasteland that it was hard for me to put down. Easily one of the best RPG's of all time and my personal favourite Bethesda Studios game. It's been 15 years since release and this game is still a masterpiece.

    Large open world with awesome locations to discover, solid RPG opportunities, and tons of content. Overall though lacks meaningful moral/ethical questions and quests can be hit or miss in quality. Still great lacking purpose. Banger DLC.

    Not too bad... For a 2008 game. The wasteland looks very good and brutal, same with the armors of the characters. Point Lookout DLC also was very good. Sadly there are very few choices when it comes to the story. The walking animation is also extremely bad tho, same as weapons animation who make no sense. Have the developers ever seen a guy shooting a bolt action and a lever action rifle?Not too bad... For a 2008 game. The wasteland looks very good and brutal, same with the armors of the characters.     I have played this game on Steam. The game play is really good. The graphics are not bad for moment the game was produced. Place of the action and the open world is interesting. Of course I have not completed this game as the game sadly bugged and i lost my saves. The bug was error of npc's movement that ruined entire main mission and blocked further progress.     Amazing game, wonderful story and the mechanics are insane. Even if a lot of people don't like it i love the similarities between this skyrim and NV, the only thing i would say is a little bit bad and only very little cause i still like the game is the lack of shooting, ik there are a lot of guns but a lot of melee weapons too which i can see where it is frustrating but still loved it

    Un juego bellisimo que en su tiempo lo juego en PS3, lo volvi a comprar en Steam para mi PC y no me arrepiento de nada. Puedes instalarle mods graficos para mejorar totalmente la experiencia y mejora notablemente a la vista es como un remaster, en fin Exelente juego

    The RPG's mecchanics are beautiful and seamlessly integrated into the game world, the history another great part of a great game; inventory management is perfect and the world is enormous!
    A game that all the people must play!

    As my first encounter of a Fallout game and avoiding RPG's in general it was a shock to have such a deep storyline and huge world.

    Este juego fue para mí un gran avance de la saga fallout gráficamente y jugabilidad muy buena y cómoda lo que más me gustó de este juego fue el mapa y el modo historia me pareció muy interesante en pleno 2022 lo recomiendo jugarlo si nunca jugaste un fallout este es muy bueno para empezar

    fallout 3 es uno de los pocos juegos chingones, eso es lo que lo hace especial, su historia es única, y su jugabilidad también lo es, hoy en día, estás joyas de Bethesda, se siguen jugando, como el primer día que salió, y siempre será así, y hoy en día no encuentras juegos así, me encanta fallout 3

    Всё. Атмосфера этого мира меня покорила.     Поначалу кажется, что шутерная часть, какая то хреновая. Но выясняется, что стрелять в игре самому и не нужно! Есть V.A.T.S. И всё держится на нём. Когда я это понял, то играть стало на порядок интереснее. V.A.T.S. прокачивается, улучшается и до конца игры я пользовался только им, ну кроме снайперки. Жаль, что в 4й и 76й уууухуху ;-(() частях его угробили.
    Далее о сюжете и доп. заданиях. Так как я игру прошел несколько раз (пока 3), первый и третий на PC, а второй на XBoxe 360. По первости пошел напрямки по сюжету и игра как то быстро закончилась.... Но ничего, через месяц прошел на консоли уже со всеми побочками и я затратил в 3 раза больше времени, В 3 РАЗА. То есть дополнительных, необязательных заданий в иге в 2 раза больше чем сюжетных. И каких. Многие доп. задания мне понравились больше чем сюжетные. Жаль, что после прохождения половины у меня уже был 20 уровень, но об этом позже.
    Больше всего мне понравилось, что при нужной сноровке можно пройти игру на 100% с одного раза. Чего нет ни в New Vegas, ни в четверке, а жаль.
    Теперь система прокачки. На сегодняшний день, лично для меня, одна из лучших. Перки, способности. Зачем нужно было всё это выбрасывать в четверке? Не знаю.
    А сколько всяких мутантов и прочего зверья. Сколько разных фракций. И дети и Анклав, и Братство стали, и вампиры, и какая-то секта поклонников вросшего в дерево гуля, даже каннибалы есть!
    Ооо убежища! В Fallout 3 они великолепны. Просто в 2008 году, когда заходил в очередное разрушенное убежище, просто холодок по коже пробегал. В последующих частях эта магия куда-то пропала, ну лично для меня.
    Недостатки тоже были, но они настолько были незначительными, что полностью были поглощены великолепной атмосферой. Ну, например многие ругали кривую анимацию, но это был 2008 год. И кстати её до сих пор не особо поправили в более новых играх серии. Ещё я говорил, что упёрся в 20й уровень в середине игры. Толи это был, какой то баг, толи так задумывалось (зачем, кому это нужно) не знаю. Но в изначальной Fallout 3 максимальный уровень был 20й. К счастью в Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition сделали 30 уровней, чего вполне хватает даже на все dlc, что и спровоцировало меня на третье прохождение ;-).
    В заключении скажу. Для меня, не смотря на некоторые недостатки, игра стоит в одном ряду с The Last of Us, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, BioShock.
    Советую всем, по каким-то причинам пропустившим, даже сейчас. Тем более в наше время есть множество модов которые улучшают графон и не только.    … Expand

    Best game I've ever played. It takes me back to my childhood when I played it on the ps3. Now I can finally play it again on my PC with ultra graphics.

    Starting with the famous Stars they brought to make this game come to life: Ron Pearlman, Liam Neeson,    Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games of all time, this is including the bugs that had my friends and I in stitches for what felt like hours. Bethesda took from fantastic predecessors to build a first/third Person Open world game with hours of playability and Lore. PLUS COSTUMES

    Starting with the famous Stars they brought to make this game come to life: Ron Pearlman, Liam Neeson, Malcolm McDowell and Erik Dellums (Our Guide through the wasteland)

    The Story allows for huge possibilities and the graphics were NICE!

    Unfortunately the game does come with bugs but as mentioned, it is usually not gamebreaking and mostly entertaining to watch.

    Don't get the Steam version and you wont have as much issues, an excellent game, the story doesn't offer many options but is bit less far-fetched than New Vegas and most of Fallout 3's map (except DC) is interesting and cool, Anchorage is also still my favorite Fallout DLC

    In my opinion one of the best RPG's ever made and a game that will always have a place in my heart. If you enjoy freedom and exploring, character customisation and getting immersed in a video game world then this will not let you down, it feels real! like the world actually exists and its your playground to do whatever you like. Every bit as good today as it was when it was released!

    This game is truly amazing. It’s so fun to explore and doing missions is so addictive and fun. The game presents challenges that are fun to adapt to. These challenges are not frustrating because it all depends on how you play the game (how much ammo you waste, what type of build you want, and who you ally with). Even in 2021, this game ages perfectly and is just a fun time.

    I know the point of Fallout is to explore a post-apocalyptic world, but after a 100 hours of seeing the exact same landscapes, it gets kind of boring. Ignoring that, the game's story and characters are truly great.

    I will try to be neutral and succinct in this analysis, without comparing the two games. However, I say that a series of items and possibilities created by Obisidian (such as the superstimpacks, the weapon repair kit, among others) in its masterpiece are missing,and would be really good to have them. Still Fallout 3 is an excellent game, where Bethesda Game Studios got it right in many ways, making a game that was revolutionary in its day.
    The game starts smoothly, where we create our character and see him grow inside Vault 101, we receive our Pip-Boy and we have the combat tutorial. Then suddenly our protagonist's life is turned upside down, when his father leaves the Vault without authorization, arousing the ire of the Overseer. So we have to run for our lives, entering the desolate lands of post-nuclear war Washington for the first time.
    I begin by highlighting the similarities with the first Fallout, where we also control a 19-year-old who is forced to leave the Vault and face the “outside world”. At the beginning we only have a pistol, little ammunition, some melee weapon, some stimpacks and the most expert players will already have some simple armor, from the guards who dared to cross our path during the escape.
    Now we must explore this open world, to find our father. The map is not that big, but at the time it was quite impressive. We have several different environments to explore, with many interesting locations, giving us the feeling that each of those places has its own history, which we would like to know.
    Our choices matter a lot, we can be a hero or a villain, according to the Karma system. Personally I prefer the path of goodness, which gives the feeling of accomplishment, in addition to bringing some extra rewards, like the items I earn every time I go to Megaton, for saving the city.
    In addition to the main quest, which is very linear,simple, relatively short and can be completed in a few hours. However players who like to explore and hunt for good items will take around 40 to get everything, reach the maximum level, with the best weapons and armor. My complaint is that the maximum level is 20, which I consider low, forcing the player to be very wise and careful when it comes to evolving his character. I believe that is why it takes so long to gain another level.
    As for secondary quests, we have one in each city or larger location, with several inhabitants. There aren't many, but they are enough to explore the map more and earn good items. I even completed almost all of them, except for one that would make me lose karma and one that was given by slave owners, who were too dead to talk to me.
    Still, we are not obliged to know most of the scenario. There are several Vaults that I didn't even get to, because I thought I could go there later. Anyway, it depends on each player.
    The enemies are not many and a little repetitive, but they are interested and good to face, forcing us to act differently with each one of them. A serious problem is its hit detection, which will only register its attacks if we hit them right in the center. Often the aim will be red, but because it is not precisely aimed, we will only be wasting ammunition, which is not that abundant.
    Another complaint I have is regarding the durability of the items. The weapons wear out very quickly, requiring constant repairs. Armors look like they are made of paper because they wear out very fast, even power armor. So much so that this problem was corrected in the successor games.
    However, like any good RPG, it is very pleasant to get stronger and stronger, to be able to go where and when you want, in addition to being able to do what you want, reaching one of the various endings, each player being able to reach the one they prefer. Weapons are good and efficient, NPCs are interesting to talk to, each place has an aura of desolation and mystery, and should be well explored, for the maximum benefit of the player.
    Finally, I say that Fallout 3 is a sensational game. It has a simple plot, but with gameplay and exploration that stand out, good and addictive. The player will be swallowed up in that post-apocalyptic environment, wanting to stop just seeing the credits. Even more considering its low price today and low processing requirements, in addition to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, as well as backward compatibility with the Xbox One.

    I really enjoyed my experience through the wasteland, It has some atmosphere feeling that I'd wish RAGE have. My only big take is that the 2nd half of the campaign just didn't hold strong as the 1st one.

    What a loaded content for just a 6GB file size.

    Grandes y profundas misiones secundarias, muchísimo contenido, un mapa enorme, gran personalización, etc. Lo mejor del género rol supervivencia es este y el New Vegas, juegos difíciles. Ni fallout 4 ni la mierda del 76 le llegan a los pies a este fallout 3 y menos al New Vegas, por ese precio y el que tuvo de salida recomendado, debido a sus inmensas horas de contenido.

    My first Fallout game and one of my all time favourites.
    Sure, it's full of bugs and issues (so it doesn't get a 10).. but in terms of enjoyment, I have to give it top marks.

    Windows 10 makes this game nigh unplayable on modern systems. You can get it to run. As a matter of fact I think GoG actually just sells it out of the box ready to play. But steam's version is a mess unless you put some work into it.

    The graphics are extremely dated, even when first released in 08, and there's a few bugs riddled throughout this game.

    The game boasts player choice and its effect on the endgame, but in reality, that's just not there. And if you go into the game knowing this.. well, it's just fine. Never effected my personal playthroughs because I didn't have any expectations there really. But as I grew older I realized it was kind of lame.

    Nonetheless, minus these few gripes, I personally think every other aspect of this game is just.. perfection. As I said, I think this is one of the all time greats, and it's definitely in my top 5.    … Expand

    Did not believe the hype in 2008 but the game proved me wrong.
    Managed to suck me into the Fallout universe. Its an good game overall.
    VATS is fun and i enjoy the game much more than New Vegas.

    Bethesda did an awesome job on this game. It's not only (imho) the best game in the fallout series, and one of the best games ever made, but Bethesda's finest creation. Yes, there's Morrowind and Skyrim, but FO3 is still better. Any ways, here is my list of the Good and Bad points for FO3.

    THE GOOD

    Gripping and Intriguing story.
    Colorful and memorable characters.
    Incredible voice acting.
    Superb musical tracks.
    GNR Radio and Three Dog are wickedly cool!
    Beautifully detailed world.
    Very nice graphics for 2008.
    "Broken Steel" DLC is as good as the main game.
    Lots of quests with lots of twists.
    Tons of replay value due to character choices.
    Exploration is awesome. Just awesome!

    THE BAD

    Prone to the occasional freeze or crash. SAVE OFTEN.

    That's about it. As you can see, despite that 1 BAD point, I have nothing negative to say about the game. It's a true masterpiece and I thank Mr. Howard and all the DEVS at Bethesda for making FO3 for us. 10/10.    … Expand

The story is good and has meat to it, and the characters are memorable. The graphics are meh, especially for today's standard, however the soundtrack and the environment the old tunes created was unmistakable.     Amazing game! Best game to play, finish and end or play over and over again with mods or not. BUT if you have so many mods in the game and enter a building then Fallout 3 would crash and the only way to fix this is to kill your character and respawn for it to load properly and play it and do it over again everytime you open and close the game which is annoying. I wish I could finish all the quest but I have OCD so this is going to take a while for me to finish and Fallout 3 is very interesting.… Expand
