    CRPG perfection. I really think hope Baldur's Gate 3 success shines some light in those old classics, 'cause Fallout 2 was definetly one of the best games I've ever played. The game do not hold your hand at all and you'll nned to be forged in fire - after that, you're in for one memorable experience.

    Thanks to fan patching (restoration project) I can firmly say this is one of, if not the greatest game ever made. It successfully immerses you into the dark world of a post apocalypse with genius writing and creative design decisions, the combat has much less jank than your average top down rpg of the time and the character creation is absolutely phenomenal and encourages repeatThanks to fan patching (restoration project) I can firmly say this is one of, if not the greatest game ever made. The amount of detail and little (and some big) side quests as well as a masterful main quest keeps you hooked over the 30-ish hours of content. And the best part is repeat playthroughs can allow for new options on nearly all of these quests. I would highly recommend picking this game up and giving it a shot if you're a fan of the rpg genre… Expand

    I've been through a lot of new RPGs, but Fallout 2 is exactly what I've always wanted to play; this game is good at everything: the plot, gameplay, open world, dialogues, quests, freedom of choice and action-there is a lot of this here, and because of this, I loved this game. Thank you, Black Isle Studios!

    True masterpiece. Fallout 1 was awesome, but this one is definitely the best Fallout game so far. The story, dialogues, choices, consequences, everything is truly extraordinary.

    The Year 1998 and i was like 9 year old kid playing some video games with shared computer with my big brother , we switching sides and playing on turn based system . I've got excited and desperately would like to play on my own as my big brother would like to play this game also , soo I borrowed the cd of this game from my cousin and immediately rush into our computer to play it , when i first play the game with soo many rich dialogs , soo many different options to play with and it's unique play style i just shocked and become addicted on it , struggled soo much back then because my english is not good enough to progress into this game but with my too much older cousin help and also have dictonaries on our house that we searching the words to understand what the game is trying to tell us . back then me and my brother achived to finish this game and gave me the satisfaction that still i ain't get that satisfaction and joy from any other games soo far . Soo after years past i've become more understand the english language and like i was at 16 years or something like that i played THE Game one more time and fully understand that what the game is about . This game improved my english soo much that's one of the impact it gave me and also first time in my life i experienced the pure role playing experience which i liked a lot . I would like to thank all of the members of this development team that make this game come through . Personally thank Brian Fargo , Tim Cain , Leonard Boyarsky and soo many other developers and management team members . I hope that one day those guys come together and make this kind of game one more time , then in 2023 while people talking about Baldur's gate 3 ( i liked it a lot no misjudgement of that ) can experience pure role playing experience . This game is the BEST GAME ALL TIME . In football terms thinking this game as , you have abilities of the prime times of Messi and have physiques from prime Cristiano Ronaldo combined :)… Expand

    Conseguiu a proeza de ser melhor que fallout 1 que já era um 9/10, se fossemos realmente pensar na série Fallout apenas por seus elementos RPG então Fallout 2 ganha a medalha de ouro.

    One of my favorite RPGs, it has a great immersive open world, lots of fun quests, and ways to play the game. It is my second favorite game out of the Fallout series

    Probably the main quest is better in the first (not for the quest per-se, but what the quest-story is about, FEV, Mutants and so on), but overall the sequel is kick-ass, it has so many quests... i just reinstalled it and can't stop playing :)

Save, save, save, and wait for the first time you dance round yir room screaming abuse at a screen that's locked up because you have too many items in your (SPOILER!)...still, though, the best RPG I've ever played.     I have to give this game a 'nine' plus rating because it is not for everyone. It is still a classic game as is the first Fallout. Imagine the Bioware D&D series of the Forgotton Realms that you have played turned into a apocolyptic, road warrior type, rpg. I have loved this series for many years. But if you are expecting a first person shooter you should be informed that it is a I have to give this game a 'nine' plus rating because it is not for everyone.     Not as good as first Fallout, world is much less realistic (eg. you start on place where it's hard to meet something that will harm you badly, but you can go only in limited directions if you don't want to be shred to pieces), but with good atmosphere, great plots, many quests and informations, many easter-eggs, many.... FO2 is just huge, but there are better games.

    After completing first Fallout i waited and i waited and i waited. And finally, when the sequel hit the shelves, i hit the stores, and got my hands on a copy from a third try! :) was the wait worth it! :)
    Even though not much changed, the innovative additions and new storyline were welcome!
    Excellent Game!

    I have been a fan of the Fallout series since I grabbed the first game way back when, the first one was great, but I've never been able to finish the second, I played through the story line at least twice and get stuck at the same spot every time. There are a lot of great improvements to the second from the first, but I don't feel it completely lived up to Fallout 1

    While not quite as amazing as the original (which is just like saying x mountain isn't as tall as Everest) this is still one of the legendary RPGs of all time. If you have even a slight interest in top down RPGs, you need to get this.

    If you're looking for a good introduction to computer RPGs of the past and don't want to over complicate things, this is the perfect game for that. While the first game was such a revolutionary concept for its time, Fallout 2 is simply a blast to play even today with its incredibly outdated (even for 1998) birds-eye view graphics. The only true fault is the near suffocating amount of inane pop culture references thatIncredible Game. Expands on the first game exponentially.     Brilliant classics for post apo fans !
    I played it a lot in the past and now it is the right moment to come back to the roots.
    The game has a good design on its own.

    Bigger and better than F1 in every way. The amount of freedom offered by this game is simply unmatched. And considering the crap that passes as a cRPG these days, it'll most likely stay unmatched for a very long time.

    This game is really a masterpiece .Fallout 1 had maybe better story and atmosphere, but Fallout 2 got the better game play, more funny quotes of characters, more options, less linearity and much more. I really miss Black Isle studio.

    Fallout 2 is simply without a doubt, one of the most underated rpg games in history! It is similar to the first Fallout in which i will say, if it aint broken, dont fix it! This game will be another one of the classic gems that will forever be rememberd and respected by me!

    The warm, fuzzy, post-apocalyptic world has all the little details and exactly the right tone. The immersive story has kept me up until the wee hours of the morn on many occasions.
