It’s not a game you need to play. Nevertheless, despite its obvious low budget, technical issues and terrible combat, I don’t feel my time with it was wasted. What rescued Falcon Age in my eyes, was a surprising, weird attachment I felt to my flying companion. I can’t explain it, but I felt really awful when I saw the bird return to me badly hurt and bloodied after I had sent it into battle too recklessly. [13/2020, p.61]

Falcone Age is one of those little VR adventures which has bags of character, easily able to charm even the most hardnosed of gamers. The co-op companionship and storyline are certainly its two best features, calling you back into tie-up any missed secrets. There are some areas which aren’t faultless and at points, the locations can seem sparse of things to do but they don’t make the title a bad game. One to consider if you’re looking for a nice, narrative-driven experience where you can raise a falcon.

Janky, buggy, and hollow at every turn, Falcon Age seems to have spent all of its resources on one or two trailers - and very little on the game itself. Every gameplay mechanic stutters, every map area is closer to empty than full, and every character in the game is so flat and poorly-written that a picket sign in the ground would have served for better exposition. This isn't a game - it's an expensive demo hungry for your disappointment. Full Review »
