Despite all that the game still has a playerbase, welcoming community and developers continue the support and keep hosting tournaments. It is a game to try and not leave again. The fuse of FPS and RTS actually works flawlessly, in comparison to Savage for example. Commander dictates the flow of battle, while other players perform their heroic deeds and breakhroughs to secure victory for their team. Both FPS and RTS part could be very well sold as a separate game. Overall, it's well worth the money, but make sure to read their "before you buy" pinned post on steam. For a blend of genre this game is it is arguably the best on the market today. Fellow Natural Selection and Nuclear Dawn enjoyers will enjoy this as well, but for new players there is a rather welcoming community with gameplay fluid enough for you to get stuck in a game for few hours before realising that.
System of exo-costumes, equipment shops, bot squads (robots, engineers, medics)

System of exo-costumes, equipment shops, bot squads (robots, engineers, medics) assigned to you as an officer - it all together creates a feeling of alive battlefield, where everyone has space to either follow the orders and expand with the flow commander creates, or try and do crazy clutches, flanking and taking out enemy officers, infrastructure and artillery (it is not simple tho).
Go on and try it, game is clearly worth much more than it's money.

Despite my gripes about accessibility, the game delivers so many options regardless of whether players choose the role of Commander or Officer. Ultimately though, Eximius will most likely have a handful of hardcore fans to keep it alive, at best. Grading would be far higher if I could see potential for growth that would allow PvP to flourish. My advice, if you want to shoot stuff, stick to the Crucible.

The bursts of fun are weighed down by a small pool of visually bland and overly similar maps, a lack of any meaningful progression, clunky gunplay, and some serious balancing issues. For fans looking for a new game to blend FPS and RTS gameplay, Eximius: Seize the Frontline has some fun to offer. But for fans of just one of those genres, the mix will likely detract too much to be enjoyable.

For an unconventional mashup of genres, Eximus is a pretty solid game. The genre blend may be a bit too niche for most gamers, and the responsibility of the commander may be frustrating for players who expect to dominate their opponents with impeccable aim. Regardless, Eximus: Seize the Frontline is worth trying for those who enjoy both FPS and RTS games.
