Sep 4, 2020A really solid puzzle platformer. The main mechanic is really varied and manages to reward thoughtfulness while keeping things moving quickly. The art and music are also both beautiful and give an incredible atmosphere. Scratches that itch if you're looking for something somewhere between Braid and Celeste.

Sep 3, 2020Coming from the switch, I can safely say that the PC version of Evergate is the definitive way to play. The amazing story, gorgeous artwork and breathtaking soundtrack are all here, coupled with better performance and KBM/Controller support, along with some new small luxury features to spice up your experience just a small bit more! I loved this game before, and now I love it even more!

Sep 5, 2020I've played Evergate on both Switch and PC. See my switch review for my thoughts about the game in general.
While Evergate performs extraordinarily well on Switch, I prefer the PC version because I can get some extra performance gain for an even smoother experience, and I can use KBM controls for added precision. Plus I can always plug in a controller if I want the added challenge. :)

Sep 10, 2020Evergate is the ideal game for platforming fans who love challenging gameplay and ever-changing mechanics that keep things fresh throughout its runtime. The story is nothing new and its short runtime might not be satisfactory for some, but its beautiful graphics and tight gameplay make it an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.

Sep 6, 2020Evergate is remarkably clever. It's a short and sweet treat of a game that constantly invents new ways to interact with the world and to blend game elements together, making for a satisfying test of brainpower and reflexes.
