    I did slate my friends for playing such an in-depth game that seemed to take ages but once you delve into all the game mechanics it is simply amazing and will get you hooked in no time.

    Great game, for more mature players as there is less action. But the PVP kicks ass because everything is on the line. I very much enjoy this game.

    This game is not for the impatient. It takes dedication but is well worth it if you stick to it. It is very complicated and in-depth, which I love. EVE has great graphics and music, every place has a unique background to it and some screenshots can even be put on your desktop because of the detail. The game also has a nice skill system, where instead of mindlessly killing everything This game is not for the impatient. It takes dedication but is well worth it if you stick to it. There are so many skills it would take over 3 years to train them all, and even then more would be made. EVE has a lot of work put into it, and it very much worth the money. Also, it's easy to get a 14-day trial, and the download is fast.… Expand

    Excellent Game, extremely deep, wonderful and immersing, and absolutely not for the impatient, something beautiful about the coldness of space and your fine tuned hot rodded ship engaging in cold hard combat with your foes.

    Has a lot of depth, but still some familiar grind elements. seems to have problems with lag spikes.

    Best game I have ever played. I've been playing for just under a year now and still haven't seen half of the things there are to see. I have my own corp, so there is lots of reasons for me to login daily. I would not recommend this game to anyone under 14, as it seems to be aimed at older players, who want to play for the long-haul. Don't get it if you can't stick with Best game I have ever played.     Great graphics, Fun game, Great community, Lot's of depth. It would take decades to learn all the skills in this game, that how much depth it has. I have found my MMORPG home.

Actually I've been playing for over a year, which is the longest I've played any game, ever. The graphics, the sound, the gameplay - all top notch. The community is first rate, and very mature. You won't find a lot of kiddies playing this - I hate Orcs. And Elves. And wizards, and all that over-done fantasy stuff. So what the heck would someone like me play? Eve Online. Actually I've been playing for over a year, which is the longest I've played any game, ever. The graphics, the sound, the gameplay - all top notch. The community is first rate, and very mature. You won't find a lot of kiddies playing this - it's not for the impatient. Best though is the PVP - as one other reviewer noted, "...because everything is on the line." You could spend all you have on a ship and still lose a fight to a bunch of well-organized noobs, and you will not be able to go back and recover anything from your ship, as they will have stripped it clean, and salvaged the wreck. It's all on the line. If you like well thought out and compelling gameplay with the best PVP in any MMO, give Eve a shot. You'll enjoy it, and I can guarantee you won't find any Orcs lurking in the asteroid belts.… Expand

    Love the game. Teres so many things to do and the missions are so challenging that it will keep you occupied for hours. The graphics are amazing and theres so many things to do! I hate the fact that i blow up. That sucks. All in all a good game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the best "game" in the world. As ever, a reader should discard any review of a multiplayer game where the reviewer has failed to play the game with other people. Lo and behold, most of the negative reviews on this game are from people who start out saying "I spent a day figuring this game out" or "I couldn't get into it" or "who plays this piece of crap" or "I like the character creator herpderp". If you aren't willing to take the time to play a multiplayer game with multiple players, you've never played it. That's rule number zero. Rule number one is increasing reward for increased risk. With EVE, this is true ingame and out. Risk more time and more resources, put yourself out there and meet new people and you may well be rewarded with endless fun and the best gaming experience there is -- or your name might be googlebombed if you try to become an internet celebrity like The Mittani did. Risk your ship and your ISK and you might make it big, or you might get ganked on the way there. The trick is managing those risks. Rule number two: EVE can be modelled as one big series of prisoner's dilemmas. Is the chatty guy in local out to get you? At what point should you grab the loot accrued with your newfound friend and run? Are the people around you whom you have chosen to risk trusting going to take everything from you tomorrow, or while you sleep? Rule number three: specialize. Yes, there are people smarter than you who have been playing this game for almost a decade. Yes, you may never catch up to them. But skills work such that no one character has them all, and this is unlikely ever to happen as CCP grows the game. If you choose a niche or playstyle (do your research) and if you apply the resources to hand intelligently, and better yet if you team up with people you can trust, nothing can stand in your way. A corollary of this is specialist knowledge: don't hand out the tricks of your trade for free, or you won't be able to charge as much for them. And so, I leave the rest of the rules for you to discover. Here's a rubik's cube. Go **** yourself.… Expand

    This is one of the biggest expansions that EVE has seen, with some far-reaching changes. However, we can’t help feeling that it was delivered now for the sake of bringing in some new content, when really it could have waited a few months for something more comprehensive.
