    Game is unfinished : all is empty after Act 1 except main plot. Throws you out of the story, stopped playing at this point. Ruins the whole game and story.
    I guess all the positive reviewers didn't go past Act 1.

    A good game with good objetctives but you can feel the inexperience of the devs in some aspects like the gameplay (specially combat, loot containers system), repetitive and no sense tasks, lack of personal history, romance and interactions on the companions, crafting has no much sense ( I didnt was able to upgrade my servoarmor at the ending because the needed loot is mising) etc.

    But    A good game with good objetctives but you can feel the inexperience of the devs in some aspects like the gameplay (specially combat, loot containers system), repetitive and no sense tasks, lack of personal history, romance and interactions on the companions, crafting has no much sense ( I didnt was able to upgrade my servoarmor at the ending because the needed loot is mising) etc.

    But overall is an interesting game and I hope they can do a better game in the future solving all this problems.

    Average, lost of missed potential.

    There are many nice things here, like lore, many codex entries, many weapons and armors, different choices, some locations etc. But at the end I was bored. Quests seemed just annoying in a big part, travelling should be faster (you can fast travel when entering location, but not when leaving it), found journal useless many times when they combine    Average, lost of missed potential.

Quests seemed just annoying in a big part, travelling should be faster (you can fast travel when entering location, but not when leaving it), found journal useless many times when they combine several quests into one and entry is not updated (i.e. I was not sure if I have fullfilled requirements). There is no enemy AI - they get direct hit and you get a message "enemy suspects something". Perks could also been a bit better, i.e. couldn't find much to increase movement or AP costs/total.

    Finally, I love system from Fallout 1 & 2, when you were not entering into dialogue if NPC had nothing to say (just message appeared over their heads) - instead of one implemented here or in ATOM RPG (it's worse there) where you can talk with everyone and cannot distinguish at first glance if they will give you a quest or some useless comment. If they are important or not.

    It's okayish game, with potential for future sequels, but it's just average, close to good.    … Expand

    Just completed the game and i can confidently say that it was well worth the price. As an RPG it really does show your decisions matter especially when you get to the end. I love the armor sets they have (specifically the Carmine Heights sets are my favorites). Could use a little more variety with regards to high tech weapons but still a great selection. And to add i specifically made aJust completed the game and i can confidently say that it was well worth the price.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Nice looking old school RPG with deep story! I liked stealth mechanic and tried hard to break game during playthrough, but game let me do all crazy things I came up with. Even at the very start when I dodged main-quest NPC and then left starting area by breaking through garage doors without any companion. That was awesome!
    Only thing that was very annoying - pathfinding for party members in narrow corridors... But I'm sure devs will fix that in future patches.    … Expand

    Awesome settings, great writing if you a fan of: original stalker book, fallout, capitalism hating. Some little troubles here and there, but overall a great experience.

    Oh boy is this game a god damn adventure. I initially pirated the game just to check it out and ooh boy was I not disappointed. The beginning was so **** good that I uninstalled the pirated copy and bought it at a full price which I rarely do(yes its that **** good). The character creation is actually pretty great with a lot of skills options and styles you want to play , I also enjoyedOh boy is this game a god damn adventure. The character creation is actually pretty great with a lot of skills options and styles you want to play , I also enjoyed the roles that you can choose at the beginning of the game and the special dialogues that they unlock (Silver Wing for life I love champagne). Not only does the character building play a huge role in your interactions with the world but you can even choose to play as a moron( 1 INT squad group up) which makes your zany adventures even more insane. The world building is charming and pretty great especially if you are a Anarcho Capitalism on the political compass. And let me tell you about the quests oh boy they are so **** fun. One time there was this guy that tried to swindle me and make me join a pyramid scheme , well since I put all my character starts on Charisma I gave him the Uno Reverse card and made him join MY pyramid scheme which I made up in the spot.Another time there was a guy who was eating a raw onion and since I love food I pulled out a raw onion to eat also , then we started having an onion eating competition which I won since the guy was poor as **** and couldnt afford to eat all of his onions, I then pulled a can of meat and ate it in front of him asserting my dominance against the poor blue wings. The world is wacky as hell and the companions that you can gather are fun as **** too. My first companion was a Orange Wing( Criminals) brute whose philosophy was that Buddha beat the **** outta people so that he can they can reach nirvana ( so yes he loved punching **** my second companion was an alcoholic movie star who loves me cuz I have a ton of alcohol and I keep feeding his addiction(lmao he can barely swing his bat) and the third companion which I recruited but didn't use that much is a robotic child with **** firearms created by a weaboo scientists thats like 90 years old. Yes the world is insane, wacky , zany and fun as **** but sadly after finishing Act 1 and after the start of Act 2 the game becomes incredibly slow. The combat of the game itself is pretty slow since it's like your good old school Fallout 1 and 2 Games. It takes awhile to travel from 1 location to another, the status management wasn't so bad and it didn't felt that it got annoying. The annoying parts for me personally were the combat parts and travelling ones (since there is no fast travel in this game). The combat was tedious and boring in some part because my character sucks balls at it( I did invest even my combat skills to Speech and **** and in other parts because the entire game play combat mechanic is supposed to be incredibly slow to get that old school feeling. The constant going back and forth from locations ruined the Joy I had at the start of the game and just made it incredibly boring and tedious that I was barely paying attention at the story when I reached the middle part of Act 2. Sadly I stopped playing due to the fact that everything is so sloooooooooooow in Act 2, I will probably finish this game some day but when I gather more patience. If you love Old school Fallout 1 and have the patience for all the combat mechanics and love a wacky world with a great story I definitely recommend this game.… Expand

    The game has the vibe of Fallout 1 and 2. So you love F1 and F2, it's the best match for you. There are some minor bugs in quests. But all quests have multiple ways to solve, so there are always workarounds to bypass issues.

    Thus, the developers managed to create a good game with "Encased". The storyline is exciting and the character creation is second to none. The voice actors also do a good job and create an intense storyline. The different choices are fun and give the game a very special depth. The various battles are decent, but more would have been possible here. If you would like to experience a goodThus, the developers managed to create a good game with "Encased".     its a great rpg with alot of costumization , choice and consequence , great atmosphere , its really worth it

    Interesting concept. Deep atmosphere. It really resembles me Fallout 2. Stealth in the game is certainly weak, but this moment is inherent in all the latest games of this genre. I got a lot of memorable moments and had a nice time. Waiting DLC and fixes.

    good visual style, normal interface and a lot of quests.
    Stealth is not perfect, but I liked the passage without fights - turn-based MGS (of course, the stealth and investigation system does not hold out, but I got similar got the same feeling )
    Mentally powerless - special thanks, this it's like another game in the kit.

    Encased is a decent RPG with extraordinary worldbuilding. It might not reinvent the wheel, but it certainly brings a worthwhile adventure that deserves to be experienced.

    If you like early Fallouts and other traditional 2D RPGs, if you think X-COM games from the 90s were awesome, if you enjoy reading sci-fi classics – this game was made for you. The story set in the alternative 1970s is not perfect and it’s obvious that the developers had to work with a tight budget, but Encased makes up for it with sheer fun. Actually, I think I haven’t enjoyed a game so much since Wasteland 3 was released. [11/2021, p.48]
