    An amalgam of ideas taken from other mmorpgs that leave Elyon with no identity of his own, absurd design decisions, problems, gameplay limitations and abusive randomness.

    Just like a visit to the carnival, even though it wasn’t the greatest experience ever, I haven’t ended a day playing Elyon feeling like I had a bad time. The bigger question for me is how long this carnival can last? We’re only a month past launch, and if you aren’t online for the daily reset, finding a group to run dungeons with can be difficult. The same can be said about finding a match for the various types of PvP. The fewer players there are, the harder it will be to turn a profit, so it won’t be long before the financials start to dictate what items go into the cash shop. And when that happens, the player base will shrink even further. So I guess I’ll keep on riding this roller coaster until it breaks down. Aaaaand, it’s gone!

    If I could give this game a negative I would. If this released with CBT1 or CBT2 patches, it would have been fine, but the gear andIf I could give this game a negative I would. If this released with CBT1 or CBT2 patches, it would have been fine, but the gear and transcendent skill catchup made this game unplayable for PVP. PVE dungeons are bad - just a couple of trash packs and a single boss. Gearing is heavily RNG based, and if you wanna gear for PVP you're already too late.

    Speaking of PVP there is no equalized BGs like there were in Tera, so expect to get 1 shot immediately if you aren't at 450ilvl or higher. Due to gear also not scaling linearly, this means that advantages are massively compounded as they get higher. Top PVP players are already win trading, and with CMs in the guilds that are guilty of this, we all know nothing is going to be done.

    There was a lot of potential spoiled by launching with this patch. An earlier patch would have been much better. The fact that they are already trying to boost twitch views by paying streamers post-launch instead of doing it with the launch means they don't have the player count they were hoping for. Game is going to be dead. I wish I just took the refund they offered me a few months ago when they changed it to F2P.    … Full Review »

    combat is fun, everything on the shop is cosmetics, dated engine but amazing graphics and anime-style customization.

    It's a good game, different than Black Desert Online, as long as it will stay like it is now, it will be very good mmo.
