    Graphics and game mechanic is from 2007, I guess. textures, animations and physics are really really bad for a "2017 released" game. Only lighting effects makes it bearable. Fight mechanics can be really boring and frustrating. So much stupidity happens while fighting. Loot system is not rewarding for exploration. cutscenes, and cinematics are really bad and idle.     Good things are, the games doesnt make you start like a fighter at all. You are just a normal humanbeing, who is trying to just survive. It goes like that for a long time, and you have to grind to achieve power. Upgrade's are relevant and rewarding yet hard. and that's a good thing make you keep playing. Voice acting is great but games sounds are generally poorly produced and programmed. Sometimes a nearby sound can dominate whole conversation.

    There is a lot of quests, nice stories, well built characters but gameplay and cinematic direction is really bad and hurts the immersiveness of the game. I want to cut it short, This is a mediocre game helped me very well to practice my German language. And yet I didnt enjoy much to play, but it's System friendly, any low spec pc can run it well, and thats al ı say.    … Expand

    Masterpiece. Best game. The game is not for those who are not able to overcome difficulties. You can write a lot of advantages, but it is a very long time.

    В игре много багов, даже на момент написания (июль 20 года), но сам сеттинг доставляет. Так же эта игра значительно отдаёт предыдущими играми пираний: Gothic, Risen итд

    Elex is a surprisingly good RPG, but perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise given that it was made by the same folks who gave us the legendary Gothic 2, one of the best RPGs of all time. The game starts off a bit slowly, as you really can't fight most monsters for a surprisingly long time, they do a lot of damage early on, and you very much do not. But so long as you're OK with doing yourElex is a surprisingly good RPG, but perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise given that it was made by the same folks who gave us the legendary Gothic 2, one of the best RPGs of all time. But so long as you're OK with doing your early quests minus the combat, you're in for a real treat. Lots of really interesting characters, storylines, and some good quality Romance as well! The world itself is absolutely huge, you will find fast travel points, and that will be very important to do, I wish there were more of them. The graphics aren't great, but they're certainly not bad either. The main storyline is very unique, there's a lot you won't see coming, plenty of twists and turns, etc. It's a very long game as well, which is very nice.     A bit stiff as most Piranha Byte games but the open world and branch story lines are awesome ! Replay-ability is definitely something that hooked me. I really loved the deep rpg systems as well. I spent about 200hrs with this game.

    I Love that Game, and i'm a harcore fan of the Developers.

    But to make it short: Story is nice.
    + Gameplay and Fighting system needs a little bit of practise but when u got it it's very nice.
    +The whole world invites you to discover i love it.

    -Only some mechanics and weapons are really unfair and destroys ur Game fun, if an enemy use some of these types.

    In my opinion this is one of the most underrated games. It offers a huge open world experience and a very unique and compelling storytelling.

    a very good story-driven freeform action rpg. Three main points: a huge lush complex handcrafted world; absolutely no game comes close in terms of exploration. perfectly varied, balanced, rich and complex gameplay: deep crafting systems, perks and progression system, impressive overall cohesion of very intricate and rewarding system. third: dialogues factions and quest systems isa very good story-driven freeform action rpg. Three main points: a huge lush complex handcrafted world; absolutely no game comes close in terms of exploration. perfectly varied, balanced, rich and complex gameplay: deep crafting systems, perks and progression system, impressive overall cohesion of very intricate and rewarding system. third: dialogues factions and quest systems is new-vegas-par with impressive interactivity, repercution and openended possibilities. while the base story might not seem compeling and it's actually king of meh, the reactivity of player choices makes it uniquely satisfying. about 70 hours to complete without anything repetitive stuff whatsoever, and god knows how long to 100% if ever possible. i was impressed on realease, and also impressed 2 years later with a different playthrough. highly recomended… Expand

Всем сердцем любимые серии готики и ризена, которые всегда навевают положительные воспоминания и побуждают желание возвращаться к ним спустя десяток лет после их выхода натолкнула меня на мысль познакомиться с ее прямым наследником,Так уж получилось, что мое знакомство с игровой индустрией было тесно связано с проектами пираний, которые в буквальном смысле стали частью моего детства. Всем сердцем любимые серии готики и ризена, которые всегда навевают положительные воспоминания и побуждают желание возвращаться к ним спустя десяток лет после их выхода натолкнула меня на мысль познакомиться с ее прямым наследником, вызывающим весьма противоречие отзывы фанатов прошлых проектов. Решив наконец поставить для себя точку в сложившейся разноголосице мнений, решил познакомиться с игрой самостоятельно.
    В начале игра создает положительное впечатление, однако разобравшись в используемых механиках оно полностью разбивается о гору недостатков.
    Сразу перейду к плюсам ELEX:
    1) По настоящему большой, гармонично сочетающийся открытый мир;
    2) Неплохая графика, кто бы что не говорил;
    3) Вариативность оружия;
    Минусы:
    1) Абсолютно сломанный баланс игры в котором вы с напарником будете коврять одного противника своими палками по 5 минут, ради 25 ед. опыта; (и продлиться это примерно до +-20 лвла.)
    2) Огромный дисбаланс оружия ближнего и дальнего боя;
    3) Абсолютная неестественность персонажей, не вызывающих какого-либо эмоционального отклика;
    4) Достаточно скучный сюжет, который под конец хочется бросить и просто пробежать;
    5) Обилие скучных и неинтересных дополнительных заданий;
    6) Ужасная система прокачки персонажа, в котором ваши характеристики ни на что не влияют;
    Вердикт: если вы хотите познакомиться с данным проектом из желания получить позабытые впечатления предыдущих игр пираний, то увы, данных эмоций ELEX вам не подарит.

    Anyone scoring this game a 0 is just a **** **** There is no way these developers who have clearly put so much into this game deserve that. This is not a AAA game but the result of a small group of developers who - if you look past the rough edges - have put together an immersive and incredibly deep game that doesn't hold your hand. Most of these younger players who are a bunch of **** and have no idea what a real game is unless it has **** loot boxes and is designed to be played by someone who has undergone a lobotomy will never appreciate the wonderful world building, decision making and challenges this game has to offer. If you are a fan of the old school Gothic series don't listen to the wankers and give this a go. I've had an absolute blast- and have enjoyed it so much more than AC Odyssey and even Red Dead 2… Expand

    Elex is a juci Game! As Gothic and Risen Player, i can say Elex is a greatful and good Game with Atmo, GOOD Dialogs, Greatful Landscapes and some little special Things u dont wanna miss in a RPG. We have May´22 and i played again. Questions ?

    Mediocre music , mediocre story. The characters are more or less uninteresting. Dialogue is terrible. Graphics are ok. Beautifully designed world that I enjoyed exploring.

    A mix of witcher 3 and Bloodborne. Has some issues but i like it. Good story.

    Alongside Witcher III this is the best action RPG game from the last decade or so. It's not a triple AAA, so animations are not the greatest and combat system is pretty junky but world and exploration are absolutely great. This is the best Piranha Bytes game since Gothic II.

    Elex might be the most underrated game I have ever played.
    If you can look past the chunkiness and relatively bad graphics(and the fact that it takes a while before you can actually start killing something), you will find one of the most unique and immersive game world ever created, a great story and amazing progression mechanics.

    Elex is a hard game to genuinely recommend, it does so many important things to only an acceptable level or worse. It's a game that's carried based on the strength of its quest design, or more pessimistically, one that's let down by a general lack of polish and uninteresting combat. It feels like a nice refreshing counterpart to some modern rpgs that treat their quest lists more like chores, but as a complete package, it falls disappointingly short.

    A flawed jewel. Beneath its layers a sophisticated game is hidden, created with love yet with bugs and poor technical design. The game mechanics are the top, but they are nowadays detrimental. Whoever wants to find a treasure in Elex, must try very hard.

    Although dialogue writers were burning the midnight oil, the team responsible for combat was obviously slacking off and did nothing to really improve that mess of a close combat which ELEX inherited from Risen. Monster fights are as choppy, unnatural and buggy as ever, for example, enemies slide right up a steep slope if they happen to dodge in that direction. [Issue#225, p.68]
