to me, Electronic Super Joy is an interesting platformer, it has great music throughout the game and some strange mechanics (such as smashing and flying) but i find that they all work very well. Although the game is incredibly difficult, and even though i like a challenge, the difficulty may turn some players away from playing this. Awful game. Art is great, music is freaking fantastic, the atmosphere in general is pretty top-notch, but the gameplay is just horrific. The controls are just incredibly clunky, the game is completely unintuitive, and the map is built in such a poor way that the jumps you need to progress often cause you to hit your head on the ceiling and automatically fail about 75% of the time. Perfect timing and aim is an absolute must because the objects the PC must bounce on only work within about the center 30% of their radius, and this game is downright infuriating. Although the game compares itself to super meat boy in its Steam store page, there's a big difference between the two games: Team Meat understands that there's a difference between challenging and simple frustration. Very very good game but very very hard. Casuals, stay far away from this. Hardcore gamers will eat this up. The graphics and sound are great. A must buy for fans of hardcore platformers.

it's not bad. much tighter gameplay than dustforce or they bleed pixels, not quite super meat boy standard. it does have a nice retro art style and a decent soundtrack of dub and house that might wear thin pretty quickly, except it doesn't have time to since the game is over in a couple of hours. with about 3 times as many levels it would be a much better purchase.

Game is incredible. Tight control, great music, and great artwork. Nothing more you can ask from the game. It is extremely hard at later levels, but it never feels like its poor level design. When you die, you know its your fault. You will be mashing R for fast respawn in this game quite often.

While it still doesn't beat Super Meat Boy in any way, ESJ is still a title worth trying. This game has a nice design, but is ludicrously difficult in the later worlds. It's basically the platformer equivalent of a bullet-hell game, where a single mistimed keypress results in restarting the level. If you enjoy the death-platformers like IWTBG, this game is absolutely for you. For those looking for an enjoyable standard platformer, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I loved this game so hard. Really! It's a try and die, like super meat boy, but with psychedelic worlds, and AWESOME music. The game is not so hard, but to unlock the last world, you'll have to work =)

Yeah guys, the music is surely the best thing in this game. It was totally worth it, buy it fast!

Finally! A game with pure music! I'm so fed up with the "nowdays music", i like the old disco musics, which was in the top in ~1999-2003 the genere, called "Handsup". And that's not enough, the game is like super meat boy, so anybody who loved the jumping platform to platform style, they will get almost the same but now with good music.

Wow... this game is an epileptic energy rush The music rocks if you love this kind of music. I'd say Electronic Super Joy is a true feel-good game. The controls may be a bit inaccurate at some points but there are enough save points on the way so you can try again over and over again. I have fun with the game but again... you really have to be able to enjoy that sort of music....

    This game is mostly average.
    Gameplay; 7
    Art; 6
Music; 8 (although the suggestive noises got on my nerves, so i turned them off)
Humor:.. ************** FANTASTIC!! it was by far the best part of this game, going from dark to madcap.
overall a cheaper, worse Super Meat Boy.
Which goes to show how good SMB really is, because this game is still fun as hell!

Visual y auditivamente es un joya, aunque su curva de dificultad lleva a que si no eres muy bueno te quedes bloqueado y no puedas avanzar, aún así vale la pena como experiencia.

Yes, you will die a lot. Yes, you will want to throw you keyboard across the room. Yes, you will spend hours upon hours falling to your death and pressing "R".

Visually stunning, witty, and rewarding as hell, this game manages to hit every note in what makes a good platformer, while still being fresh and original. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack.

My *only* complaint would be that the default controls are awkward as hell, but they are easy enough to change, so I don't feel it warrants taking any points off the overall score.

A true platforming masterpiece from head to toe, and with no ifs, ands, or but(t)s.

A visually beautiful game that is accompanied by a soundtrack according to the aesthetics of it. The problem is that it has a difficulty increase too artificial and with the passage of the levels the game ends up being monotonous.
