Eastside Hockey Manager is a management simulation game in which the player takes control of a professional hockey team with the the goal of helping the team win games. Unfortunately, the player can only indirectly control their team by recruiting players and adjusting the team roster.

When a new game is started the player created their manager, selects a team, and immediately begins making adjustments to the existing roster and staff. The amount of control and adjustments that can be made is impressive, and with the ability to download new content from the internet you will always have access to your favorite teams and players.

Eastside Hockey Manager is pretty quiet, and the music that does play is reserved for use  in the simulated hockey matches. This wouldn't be a problem for most hockey games, but since this game is primarily played outside of the simulated matches its recommended you play this game while listening to music.

Eastside Hockey Manager is a great game to play if you are interested in learning about what goes into creating a top tier hockey team, but it could be improved with more music and sound effects.

The game felt ok when playing NHL. Minor issues that I could live with, like Kovalchuk playing Finnish Liiga after some years :D Then I tried to play with Jokerit in the KHL and had to stop. It just wasn`t working good enough. Like half the team out on an international game, and you still had a league game (which I still won). I recommend playing just NHL and not the other leagues.

I expected an actual management game. But what do I receive ? Something that Casual can enjoy . I thought it was a fun idea but it all turned too hockey-like ( Yes its a game about Hockey, I know .. ) and hide the management side.
