Mar 4, 2024Dynacat does its best to be a throwback to Sonic 3D Blast and while the ideas are there, it feels like it could use a bit more polish. There were times where I had to intentionally lose a life to restart at a checkpoint because I ended up landing in an area where I could not get enough speed to proceed, plus there were a couple of times I ended up out of bounds and had to restart an entire stage or boss fight. Dynacat can be an enjoyable game once you learn the physicals and controls, but it feels like a little more polish could go a long way.

Mar 19, 2024Dynacat would be much more enjoyable if the mechanics and controls were less fumbled. It’s a charming platformer, but it’s too awkward to be as much fun as it ought to be.

Apr 30, 2024Your experience with Dynacat is heavily dependent on whether you liked Sonic 3D Blast and the other titles that inspired it. The unwavering camera viewpoint takes some getting used to, but the addition of a tether makes combat more palatable. The rough gameplay mechanics and slippery controls don't make for an enjoyable experience unless you've mastered the physics or set the game to the Easy difficulty level. Unless you're the patient type, you can skip this title until it is deeply discounted.
