Hellraid looks good but offers none of the originality that Techland brought to the zombie genre, focusing on all the wrong parts of Dying Light and all the most predictable parts of the fantasy universe instead.

Then they canceled it in favor of Dying Light 2 - the parkour zombie game nobody wanted. Instead of the promised standalone game they made this DLC for Dying Light 1, a technical downgrade from what we saw in the presentation with reskins of Dying Light enemies and boring gameplay. Не-не вообще не то что ожидал увидеть в дайт лайте, не вписывается!
Крошить всякую нечесть лучше всего в Painkiller.

This is not what we waited for all these years! HELLRAID was supposed to be a standalone game for the fans of WITCHAVEN and HEXEN. 2014This is not what we waited for all these years! HELLRAID was supposed to be a standalone game for the fans of WITCHAVEN and HEXEN. 2014 trailers/demos looked very promising. Then it got shelved in favor for DYING LIGHT (jeez thanks, just what we need, another zombie shooter).
2020 they announced HELLRAID would be coming out! Horray! As DLC for Dying Light. Wait what?
Yeah, a stripped down version of what it should have been. What we got is rather pathetic:
    - graphics don't look nearly as good as in the demo/trailer.
    - it's one dungeon run that takes between 30 -60 mins
    - dungeon layout and enemy placements are always the same
    - DYING LIGHT gameplay does not fit with HELLRAID

OK, we'll give them a chance. They promised frequent updates and additional content, so I waited for their first addition "LORD HECTOR'S DEMISE". This is an even greater DISAPPOINTMENT!
    We got:
    - 2 more weapons + a shield (which is useless if you do not upgrade your survival skill, which can only be leveled up in DYING LIGHT and not during HELLRAID. If you don not like DL and don't spend hours in it you will not be able to use it at all).
    - difficulty tweak: the final boss now summons even more enemies for as long as he's alive, which makes a very hard game even harder
    THAT'S IT!
NO additional level/s, no randomization of level/enemy placement
HELLRAID (DLC) is underwhelming and Techland does not seem committed to improving it in any way.
