    Dungeonbowl is the next step in the Blood Bowl franchise on PC, but it is a step backwards instead of forwards. The game is multi-player only, either online, over LAN, or as hot seat games. There are no single player and campaign modes. The team customization is limited to three "colleges" to choose from, and are made of predefined players/races. Interested in fielding an all HalflingDungeonbowl is the next step in the Blood Bowl franchise on PC, but it is a step backwards instead of forwards. The game is multi-player only, either online, over LAN, or as hot seat games. There are no single player and campaign modes. The team customization is limited to three "colleges" to choose from, and are made of predefined players/races. Interested in fielding an all Halfling squad? Maybe just adding Elves, Undead, Orcs, or Lizardmen to your team? Nope.

    The dungeon maker is surprisingly robust, a lot of options are available to allow the community to make some very detailed and involved maps, but the list system used for elements makes it difficult to jump between elements, which lends towards picking an element and adding it dungeon-wide before moving on to the next element. Room-by-room design takes a long time due to scrolling through the list of pieces to work with.

    Community involvement is still very light, which makes getting in matches difficult as there is not usually a lot of players on at any one time. Getting a match usually involves carpet bombing challenges to the few players that are listed and hoping that one accepts.

    Despite the lower price, fans of the Blood Bowl franchise would be better off just investing their money in the older Blood Bowl Legendary edition.    … Expand

    Love the game. It's fun and nervous. I'm a big BB player, but at the moment I like to play it more than BB. It just needs some improvements like leagues or custom teams.

    I bought this assuming there was an offline mode to play. I've never played the original Bloodbowl, but I"ve had some interest in it. There is no Tutorial, there is no teaching guide, there is nothing. It just throws you in either hot seat (where you control both teams), or else you have to play online or lan multiplayer. Save your money.

    True to its roots, Dungeon Bowl is broken, and is soured further by a dormant community and no singleplayer. [Sept 2012, p.104]

    As much as I like the Bloodbowl tabletop, I've never felt that it translated well into video game form, and Dungeonbowl didn't change the way I feel.
