    Dungeon Warfare is already a great indie tower defense game, much better than more well known titles, and the developers are actively supporting it right from the start.

    I'm a huge tower defense fan, and I took a chance randomly buying this on an impulse that it might be something special. Indeed, within 10 hours of gameplay it entered my top 3 all time favourites of the genre. It's    Dungeon Warfare is already a great indie tower defense game, much better than more well known titles, and the developers are actively supporting it right from the start.

    I'm a huge tower defense fan, and I took a chance randomly buying this on an impulse that it might be something special. Indeed, within 10 hours of gameplay it entered my top 3 all time favourites of the genre. It's basically Dungeon Keeper (you are the evil dungeon master and you slay waves of "good" adventurers) mixed with Orcs Must Die (the violence and the general tower defense ideas) but without any hero micromanagement. Of course this is all presented with bland retro-style pixel graphics but who cares? Functional visuals in a great game is fine with me.

    All in all I approve of this formula. I love Orcs Must Die (and Dungeon Keeper for that matter) but the action/hero aspect of Orcs Must Die was always my least favourite part of the game. I prefer more strategy and less action. Maximum violence certainly, but strategic violence, and this game delivers strategic violence by the bucketload. Here's hoping these developers keep developing this dandy little tower defense gem.    … Expand

    This is one of the best, if not the best, pure tower defense games in a very long time.

    Depth: There are numerous enemies with lots of different abilities, defenses, speed, etc. 20 towers, each customizable by placing points into them. Most of them have 3 upgrades in game, a few only have 2. I counted 47 levels, but the map is kinda a mess so I could have easily missed one or    This is one of the best, if not the best, pure tower defense games in a very long time.

    Challenge:

    You can adapt any of the levels to be as easy or difficult as you'd like. Need to just beat a level to get the rewards (new tower or gems) but having problems? Tone it down a bit with the "Breeze" rune.

    Looking for a challenge? Load up to 10 different runes increasinng the difficulty greatly, but also the reward!

    Looking to go nuts? Turn on the "Endless" rune and get ready for an increasingly difficult grind.

    Replayabilty:

    With all of the customization available, you can replay this game until your mouse breaks, buy a new mouse, then keep playing some more. There is no end to the fun.
