Jun 18, 2011I mean I hear the game is fun in both gameplay and concept, thats probably why everyone hated it. The world is colorful, and there is plenty of humor. One of the ideas that I haven't seen anyone talking about are the teleporting enemies. I mean it's a nice spin on the standard AI that involves shoot, hide behind cover, shoot.

Jun 18, 2011Great game. Funny and entertaining. Some minor problems don't ruin the experience, even if you include the dated graphics into the equation. Duke can only take two weapons with him this time, but that's hardly gamebreaking. Irreverent Duke stuff, jokes and punchs are back and better than ever.
Hail to the King. This game it's a piece of gaming history! -
Jun 18, 2011Duke Nukem Forever is technically average, the story is rather simple and the game play is based on bad jokes. You canâ

Jun 18, 2011Its rushed, crappy game of 2011. They abused the title and character to make some quick money and **** us off with crappy game. If they polished it and released maybe 5+ years ago, it would have been a decent game, but as of now its just rubbish. Totally not 2011 standards.

Jun 17, 2011Totally undeserving of such low scores, especially with so many uninventive and tedious sequels getting 9's or higher. Honestly, more varied and fun, though perhaps not as polished as most AAA shooters of this generation.

Jun 17, 2011This game is a blast from the past... feels and plays like a game from the 90s and brings back fun to gaming... and while at times may be a little sexiest its just a blast to play worth every penny....
not to mention multiplayer is **** awesome -

Jun 17, 2011Despite the not so great graphics and the somewhat fragmented gameplay, I still enjoy DNF on the PC. It is unpretentious fun. Not particularly impressive, but fun.

Jun 17, 2011It is Duke lot of fun to play you should definitely try it! Yes the graphics are not the best but still up to date, there is a couple of part which is challenging but hey in 90s that was all about hard as hell games.

Jun 17, 2011I can understand the criticism but I've always been a Duke fan and this game has this nostalgic feeling to it so I love it. If this was some random game out of Russia and didn't have Duke in it, I'd probably say it sucks too. If you are not a fan of Duke or if you were born in the Call of Duty/Halo generation, you probably won't want to pay full price for it.

Jun 16, 2011Definitely not as bad as people have been saying it is. The game is supposed be more of a laid back, 90's/retro styled game, and it sure did deliver. Most critics have failed to realize some of the satire the Duke gives, but its great. Do buy.

Jun 16, 2011Man this game is BAD!
Horrible textures, cringe worthy dialog and terrible level design.
For a game in development for so long, one has to wonder just what they spent all that time on.
It certainly wasn't time well invested.
Not since the shocking Space Chimps Game has a title disgusted me so much! -

Sep 12, 2011Duke Nukem Forever would be quite decent if one felt entirely certain it's intended purely as a self-parody. As is, it doesn't do the expectations, the buyer or the Duke justice – oh, had he rather remained a vaporware legend!

PC Gamer UKAug 6, 2011Petty, nasty and anachronistic. Duke is only relevant as a warning from the past. Avoid these mistakes, developers. [Aug 2011, p.76]

Aug 1, 2011Bottom line: Duke Nukem Forever was not worth the 15-year wait, nor is it worth paying the full $50. However, I cannot deny that I thought it was both fun and funny, which at the end of the day is what this franchise is all about.
