Overall, Monsters vs. Aliens is a solid videogame adaptation from the movie. The combination of standard action-platforming, more traditional puzzle-based platforming and on-rails races that you’ll experience with the different characters provides just enough variety and challenge for the game’s target market. If your child is a fan of the movie, you’ll want to pick up the game.
-
Monsters vs. Aliens is a good game for younger gamers, older and more experienced players however will get bored rather quickly.
-
Play (Poland)Despite it simplicity it's a well made action game that provides lots of fun not just for kids and not just thanks to the movie characters. The two player mode is also a definite plus. [May 2009]
-
If you take a closer look, this title is an accumulation of mini games. If you haven´t enjoyed or seen the film, this game won’t offer much fun.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)A couple of fresh ideas and living environments makes this matter slightly above average. Do not expect a long lasting experience, just short term fun. [Apr 2009]
-
No matter how much you loved the movie, think twice before picking up the game. Monsters vs. Aliens gets dull very quickly, and it won’t last you more than a few hours.
-
Monsters vs. Aliens' biggest issue is just that it's so damned repetitive. What could have been entertaining in smaller doses instead drags on far too long, is recycled into tedium and ends up relegating the experience to the same bargain bin as just about every other licensed game.
