A Classic and heartwarming experience of JRPG. It's really amazing how they are able to use the same old story structure and still tell it better than any others. A must-play for every JRPG or even RPG fan.

My favorite JRPG. I wish I could give it a 10, but there are times the writing or plot doesn't really amaze me. It's almost always serviceable though. The classic turn-based combat, the music, the monster design - most everything else is either a 9 or a 10 to me.

Amazing, simply amazing, The original version is a must play, but this is all a jrpg fan could ask for and more.

One of the best RPG’s of all time. Toriyama’s art is beautiful, and especially so on a power RTX 2080 Super.
The combat is crispier than the original and is just as satisfying, if not more so. DQ 11 has a very rewarding leveling system that is easy to manage, and even allows you to reset skill points for a small fee.
If you like RPG’s, this one is a must-buy. Even if this is your first

Switch port on a PC without the option of upped graphics. Now you can play the game in 4K washed out graphics!

Just port the inferior version instead of putting effort in making something truly great that makes people WANT to re-buy your port

And then just put your foot down and delist the original version from being bought at all

This Definitive Edition is a definitely downgraded version.

The hardware performance of PC is much better than the PS4 pro, but the definitive edition of PC is ported to the NS version graphics, which is much worse than the PS4.

This is a definitely mockery of PC users.

A fantastic version of one of favorite, if not my absolute favorite, games of all time. The NS version of the game, which comes with that delicous extra content, has been ported over beautiful and uprezzed well: the game looks and sounds gorgeous and runs at an excellent uncapped frame rate.

YES some textures aren't as pretty as the initial PS4 and Steam release. And it is a little

YES some textures aren't as pretty as the initial PS4 and Steam release. And it is a little annoying that players of the original Steam release cannot simply pay a small upgrade fee and have to rebuy this all over again.

But those qualms aside, this is still a fantastic port of a fantastic game. If you've never played Dragon Quest? Try the Demo, then buy this game; it's fantastic! :) If you've played Dragon Quest 11 before and are salty about having to rebuy upgrade with worse textures? I won't say you're wrong for feeling that way, but I think that the added content from the NS version of the game combined with better resolution and frame rate -for me personally, as someone who already owned the original Steam and NS releases- makes the rebuy amply worth it. The game runs so unbelievably smooth compared to the Switch version, and sounds and plays so much better than the original Steam release!

Plus, at least in my own currency, it's only, like, 3 hours of minimum wage work to buy this game if you get it from GreenManGaming. A game this good, even if it's a rebuy, is worth 3 hours wages to me. :)

But if you disagree, that's fine. To each their own. Just don't be a butt to other people about it.

No easy exit option in the PC version. Also it is too slow paced and needed much time to take up levels in order to get a smooth boss fighting experience

WARNING! This game is too easy, and the only other option is Very Hard mode, and you can't change difficulty after starting. I'm over half way through the game and I have to stop. While at first the characters were charming and the quest fairly interesting, the story is just meandering from reason for it to keep going to reason for it to keep going using anime power up tricks and such. In addition, Akira Toriyama's art design of monsters is extremely hit or miss here, with half or more of the monsters looking like off-brand toys for very young children.

The game also feels very cheap in a number of other ways, for instance you get to a cool new area only to hear the same exact music for every other area, then you go in a cave and hear the exact same music for every other cave and dungeon. This game is doing as little as it can to make a profit, making sure to extend the playtime so people don't complain. This game is very disappointing, and I am appalled at the praise it has received by players and critics alike.

    If you are looking for a good JRPG experience, I recommend these;

Dragon Quest IV for the Nintendo DS
Pokemon Blue or the updated Leaf Green version
    Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest 1
    Radiata Stories

It is a masterpiece that expands the worldview of Dragon Quest. 11S is perfectly over 11 as a complete version. There's no boring section in the game and I've played this for 500 hours on repeat. 11 will have to join the best Dragon Quest game with DQ3 and 5.
