    Darkspawn Chronicles is an unimaginably dull action-packed tour disguising as an one-hour long RPG experience and will bore you to death after five minutes.

    A novel first attempt at making a Dragon Age add-on (as opposed to add-in) DLC. The new (to the player at least) abilities and party members are fun for as long as it lasts. I wish BioWare had allocated more resources and time to this DLC since it shows more promise than the other cookie-cutter DLC offerings they produced for Dragon Age: Origins. At the end of Darkspawn Chronicles I had aA novel first attempt at making a Dragon Age add-on (as opposed to add-in) DLC. I wish BioWare had allocated more resources and time to this DLC since it shows more promise than the other cookie-cutter DLC offerings they produced for Dragon Age: Origins. At the end of Darkspawn Chronicles I had a feeling of accomplishment that none of the other DA DLCs provided, so it at least delivers on an emotional level despite the utter lack of dialog (apparently there was no voice over budget for this project). However, Darkspawn Chronicles would have benefited significantly had the player's experience with the protagonist been longer than a mere 1.5 hours. Feels like a gem in the rough that BioWare failed to sufficiently polish before release.… Expand

    How could the once great Bioware produce game that were suddenly getting blasted with red review scores? It all seemed to start soon after they were sucked into the 'Evil Empire, EA. They started to add something to their games called DLC. Presumably these letters stand for 'Done Like Crap'. Because they sure were. None of it evolved the game in question. For Dragon Age, a largely plot driven game, the DLC was lamentably bad. Please remember that in my new scoring system 5/10 0/10 in the old reckoning. Let's hope if Bioware continues with DLC in the future they eventually learn to make it worthwhile for the PLAYERS, not just a way of ripping-off their customers.

    THE GROT REVIEW CRITERIA: After a long time writing reviews like an anus, think its time to set a few bad habits straight: Stop insulting designers. Show some respect for the design process and getting games in circulation. Hence (1) No Red scores. (2) Game scores as follows: Bad Game 5/10. Poor Game 6/10. Mediocre Game: 7/10. Good Game 8/10. Great game 9/10. Stella Game 10/10. To get 10/10 it must be a game that can be (theoretically) play-able for 1000+ hours. Not only great but near endless fun. Games may be bad or poor but making them should earn respect. Thus even the worst POS will still be a 5/10. 0/10 no longer exists in my vocabulary. Yellow is the new red.     Cash in DLC. This DLC dont have even new areas witch is ridiculous. Dragon age was a pretty good game but its DLCs are beyond ridiculous. EA is trying to Cash in on Bioware so hard, that Bioware is starting to fade from top quality.

    I really enjoyed this little DLC up until the final fight. No matter what I do the Archdemon always dies....even know I took down the 2 primary objectives. I can take so much dying until I'm emotionally overwhelmed and force myself to surrender to save my sanity. To see what happens if I had saved the Archdemon I had to resort to using console command to kill all enemies. NOT COOL at all!I really enjoyed this little DLC up until the final fight.     It is in fact another brutish DLC for Dragon Age, and the roleplay is once again nowhere to be seen.

    While a few of the Darkspawn, the Ogre and Shriek, are fun to play around with, the short length, lack of customization options, and absence of any real character interaction make this bit of content too straightforward to be especially memorable.

    New DLC is a real “snack” – short and delicious. Its concept “What If…” is amusingly refreshing and scores with a dark sense of humor. We like to kill minions of Good! [Issue#192]
