While Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon is a step above some of Kheops latest efforts (Cleopatra, Destination Treasure Island) it has a minimalist look to it and still feels too much like a cookie-cutter project.
-
If code breaking, chemistry, and arcane rituals are your ultimate brain-melt fondue, though, bare your neck for Dracula 3.
-
Dreary and dated.
-
The game is not intrinsically awful; it's a severely acquired taste rooted a little too heavily in tradition for its own good.
-
This title is too conventional for its own good. Ultimately, there’s no compelling real reason to pick this one up, unless you just have to have another fix of the vampire mythos and don’t mind gameplay that can feel more like drudgery than fun.
-
The game rarely wows you in any one way, and the pace can drag at times in dry subject matter, but overall it’s both logical and accessible, and with its interesting approach to vampire lore and deftly crafted storyline, Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon is worth picking up.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Couple of bright ideas suffocated by average presentation. Dracula 3 comes with nice graphics but puzzles are a bit too difficult, the world is empty, and the story is anything but attractive. [Oct 2008]
-
Gamers.atIn terms of presentation sweet, though story-wise seeming like a meek afterthought. If you’re a die-hard fan of vampires we’d understand if you’d give it a go, but otherwise you’d do well to keep your hands off it. [Issue#15]
-
Almost nothing about the game is fun or enjoyable -- the puzzles are a chore, the storyline is presented badly, and even the ending is annoying -- and so I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody, unless, for some reason, you like being lost and confused.
-
PC GamerSome of these brainteasers--including a tricky Enigma decoding machine segment and a complex darkroom sequence--are brilliant additions, while others will strain your patience and gray matter to the breaking point. [Dec 2008, p.59]
-
The game seems to throw repeated roadblocks up for anyone who doesn’t go to sleep thinking of these types of games making it rather hard to recommend to anyone who won’t power through these rough spots, because most of us will just stop playing.
