    This game was something special. The visuals are very charming, the game play is simple but really fun, and the music couldn’t fit more perfectly with the theme and mood of the levels. This game play is a little slow and clunky at first, but it gets rewarding and fluid once you get the hang of the combat mechanics. If you wanna beat up girlfriend stealing jerks, a pun spouting space lichThis game was something special.     Really fun throwback to the days of the arcade. Two players is a must, or i could see it being kinda boring, its defiitely made with two players in mind. I think they've done a great job of bringing the old arcade brawler into the 21st century. No, its not as sophisticated as many of todays AAA titles, but its not supposed to be and they've added some decent character progression to keepReally fun throwback to the days of the arcade.     From what I understand, all the hate comes from the game being too traditional and not innovative enough. So from that point of view, why would I want to see double dragon in 3d or completly changed from what I remember as a kid? The level design is awesome, the fighting is well balanced and it's a very fun local coop. If you're looking for something different go play Killer is dead or something but don't bash this game for being what it is which is a true homage to the awesomeness of 80's arcade games.… Expand

    This is Double Dragon but done very, very tongue in cheek. It plays heavily on 80's nostalgia, but it doesn't rely on it to deliver a fun, side scrolling brawler.
    It also adds modern elements to the original formula like the ability to pick up skills and enhance stances, each with a pseudo 80's soundtrack    Growing up in the 80's, this is exactly how I thought games would be in the future.

    Gameplay is slow with bizarre collision detection, graphically it's Saturday-morning-toon bad and not very good animated. Original coin-op games were not perfect, but they were - and still are - fun to play. Neon is not very fun and I'm pushing myself to squeeze the money I spent out of it to justify the purchase. At least it got a nice soundtrack.

    Best Beam em up in years until a game Called SHING came along. Both under rated games for not having super easy button mashy gam eplay.

    Well adapted old game.

    Pros.:
    - References to the original.
    - Design of the characters and enemies.
    - Multiple add-ons.
    - Variebility.

    Cons.:
    - We need more of this!)

    It’s never serious and it never tries to modernize when it doesn’t need to, and that’s what makes Double Dragon Neon such an excellent example of a reborn classic.

    I fear that a lot of people will give up on Double Dragon: Neon too early, either because it “isn’t real Double Dragon” or because of the “clunky controls.” I encourage you to stick with it, because Neon truly is one of the best games in the genre from any decade. It’s got humor, visual flair, excellent gameplay, and a brilliant soundtrack.
