As a complete package, D.O.T. Defence is a great blend of tower defense and RTS, one that oozes originality and style. It’s made from the ground up to be something distinct and unique, something that I think they succeed. There are roughly 8 hours of campaign content, along with the survival system which can offer you endless fun, and of course, multiplayer. Believe it or not, the multiplayer is surprisingly deep, since you have local multiplayer support, with free for all, 1v1 or 2v2 matches if you want. They also support Steam Remote Play Together, which is a notable addition. D.O.T. Defence is an approachable game, even if it might not seem like that upon first impression. It manages to bring light RTS elements into a game similar to Kingdom Rush or Bloons TD. And it does that very well, while still maintaining its own identity. Sure, there are issues like mission balance, the level design being too challenging at times, but even then, the game is a blast to play, and it encourages replaying maps over and over. It’s a lot of fun to command your armies, so it’s easy to get past a few shortcomings.
