One of the most fun co-op platformers I've played in a long time. Playing alone is fine, but playing Door Kickers: Action Squad with a friend is some of the most hilarious fun I've ever had in a game. The music is great, the humor within the game is very funny, and the art style is great too. Only bummer for me is that it only supports 2 players; a 3 or 4 player mode would be that much better.

One of the best co-op action platformers. Singleplay is amazing too.
Lot of levels, the diversity of play styles.
Mods and fan-made-levels will give additional 5+ hours of end-game activities

A side-scrolling shooter/platformer that does exactly what it says on the tin. You get out as much as you put in; if you want to run-and-gun you can, but will probably die, and if you want to play tactically, there's many options available to you. The fun increases in co-op, and I would recommend this to anyone who has been looking for a pick-up-and-play game with some friends, or on theirA side-scrolling shooter/platformer that does exactly what it says on the tin. The game has continued to get love after release from a dedicated development team, and for achievement hunters such as myself, there are plenty of fun ones to choose from.

Good game to have some old school fun which becomes GREAT when playing with a friend (couch coop is best but online works too). Tried it PAX East and loved, and so did families with kids. I actually had to wait in line to get to try the game. Heard they will add a new playable character soon?

Update: They have now added another character (Off-duty Swat guy) and another full chapter.

It's most fun in coop, has a tactical element to it that I don't think exists in other similar games.

Great and original platformer, retro graphics but with a modern gameplay. Lots of fun for such a small game and it even has network and couch cooperative play.

Great game done by real, hard working people, highly recommended. Also play the classic Doorkickers game if you somehow missed it

It is one of those games that fills a niche genre; being that of an action, co-op side scroller. With that said, if you have a friend who plays action games with you, then yes, it fills that void well. Being a great source of mindlessness and door kicking. But for anyone else, this is not the game for you.

A remarkable action platformer, which brings you fun.
Also devs didn't stop, when the game was already solid and brought some new content for even more replayability.

Action Squad is exactly what I imagined it to be: a chaotic side-scrolling little game that one can jump right in with a friend and make something explode. The problem is that not once did it try to exceed that expectation.

Action Squad also supports local and online co-op so that you and a friend can party up and kick ass. This creates a unique dynamic rather than just playing solo. With a partner, you are able to create new tactics and deal more damage than a single person would. A great combo to try out is the shield and assaulter. The shield can block incoming bullet damage while the assaulter can stand behind them to let off a volley of gunfire. These options in gameplay made it feel exciting and fresh throughout. I never found a dull moment in Door Kickers regardless of the shallow customization.

Door Kickers Action Squad is a great game, but outside of its generous helping of levels, it’s a little light on content. For the price, this is one of the better co-op titles I’ve played, and it offers a unique experience you’re not getting anywhere else. A surprising treat.

Side-scrolling, door-booting, and criminal-annihilating, Door Kickers: Action Squad is sure to fill the “I haven’t blown anything up today” hole that is burning through your chest. With couch and online co-op, you and your partner can blast through terrorist-filled house after drug-lord-filled house together. Just don’t expect anything deeper than east to west shooting.
