An absolute must have, and if you think all you need is "Don't starve" classic you are sadly mistaken. While true its the same formula in a way there are so many new ways to die, so many new rules to learn, and you have to get it all done before winter comes and wrecks your... everything. A survival DLC that makes the classic very fresh.

Shipwrecked is a great DLC pack. There is a ton of quality new content, it feels almost like a new Don't Starve game. If you enjoyed any of the Don't Starve material, get this! Don't Starve is simple and addictive, my favorite survival crafting game.

This dlc is a must-have if you already are bored of the Reign of Giants dlc, since it adds a whole new world that feels as alive, if not more alive, than the world that Klei already had. This dlc has, for very obvious reasons, the same Don't Starve formula while still feeling different from it, something Reign of Giants didn't do, again, for obvious reasons. You are put, this time, on a tropical world, with your goal not changing at all: see how long you can survive, but this time around, it's even harder, especially considering the vast world you're threw at with no information at all. Good points of this dlc is that it really provides a new fresh challenge for experimented players and manages to stick to the same formula of Don't Starve/Reign of Giants and still feel different from them. However, on the bad side, which is the only reason I am giving this a 9, is that it can be unfairly hard to progress, because this time around, with the new way the world works, the world generation can screw you over way more than in the base game or in RoG. It's a fun dlc if you are bored of Reign of Giants and want new challenges, but don't expect to survive the whole seasonal circle for a few playthroughs, though. Expand

Don't Starve: Shipwrecked is undeniably fun but it borrows all of its strengths from Don't Starves core gameplay and adds little to the formula.

I would recommend Don't Stave: Shipwrecked

Shipwrecked builds on the formula of the original and Reign of Giants without losing any of the magic, frustration and a justified, unadulterated fear of forests. The most obvious change is the island setting. Your starting islet dictates how your first few days will fair, some are barely big enough to feed you and provide you with the materials for a raft, while others are huge sprawling things with food and forests galore.

Shipwrecked is fresh both in terms of gameplay mechanics and visuals and although I had more fun with the original Don’t Starve, I’m not planning on abandoning the island. [07/2016, p.64]

Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked is stuffed with new features that do not change only the set of the game, but also the way of playing. Therefore, the expansion will be enjoyable for the players who started to be a little sick of the game.
