    Devs took out content to resell as DLC.

    Devs also called people betas and said they could not pick up women in grocery stores if they wear masks. I'm not interested in supporting people who are anti-vaxx man-children that like to insult customers in patch notes lmfao. Major incel energy from this "pick-up bro" mentality.

    Absolutely worst devs around. They decided to take a political anti-science and anti-health stance by putting it in their game to not wear masks. They then referred to people that simply follow health and science to be safer for themselves and others around them as beta people. I will never purchase anything of theirs.

    Using the Steam platform to spread active misinformation about Covid is not remotely okay. Devs that support unsubstantiated conspiracy theories, spread misinformation and actively pulls content to later sell as DLC's should not be supported.

    Devs are actively acting misogynistic to their community members, and pushing extremist right wing talking points within their forums. Devs are calling anyone who disagrees with them "NPCs", and encouraging harassment towards them.

    Okay game, bad developer. Like, one of the scummiest I've seen. From cutting free content and releasing it as DLC, to forcing anti-masker rhetoric and COVID-19 disinformation in patch notes that can very well end up killing people.

    Skip this game, its not worth your time or your last two brain cells because of the actions of the developers alone using steam as a pseudo MAGA rally.

    Bought this game due to relatively good reviews and cheap price. It seemed like a bit of squad and base building mixed with some nice visceral combat. Whilst this is true, I found the game lacking in any of the elements that make other games of the same type fun or interesting.

    You build up a squad of fighters and you can make improvements to your base but it rarely feels like it's important to the results of your fights. Sometimes you feel like you're going to be soundly beaten and then your underpowered guy manages to somehow win. In others you feel it should be a simple fight and then you get decimated. The fights are too short and messy to be able to appreciate them properly, and even worse, unlike Darkest Dungeon or XCOM (more expensive games TBF) when you actually lose a squad member or upgrade them, you rarely care as the characters are never fleshed out. If you actually try to rename them to make them more personal then the game actually punishes you with weakened morale.

    Overall a thoroughly bland and bang-average effort, albeit with pretty good music.    … Expand

    It was an okay game when I played it. Dev is entitled to their opinion, but spreading their hateful rhetoric using patch notes is unacceptable. Don't buy.

    Interesting game that is designed for Twitch integration, it can make some runs very fun through its interesting mechanics. So far the game has balancing problems and the last fight is almost impossible to beat but this game might have a bright future if further developed. It's also pretty cheap, making it ideal for streamers and group of friends to try.

    the tough thing is the multiple micro management and the handling of the ressources - like in all sims.

    It has a great soundtrack, does never lag or crash, the fights are always exciting - and yes you can control a fighter as soon as you have learned it.

    A hard rougle like simulation game with more depth as it looks like in the first second!

    Worth it if you like indie games ;)

    The fights in the game are extremely fast, but it’s interesting to watch and cheer for their champions every time. Sometimes pixel warrior can really surprise when, in his dying state, he suddenly become furious, knock out all of weapons from the hands of the enemy and literally tear victory out of the clutches of the enemy with his teeth.
    ... and then he returns to ludus. Licking wounds, training, repairing battered ammunition, sharpening a gladius to shed blood again in a week to the joy of the crowd.
    As for music, a separate respect to the composer. The soundtrack just fits perfectly into the atmosphere and mood of the game. Making the melody "warm up" at the preparation stage, then during the countdown to the start, and finally, DROP - To Battle !! The melodies themselves are quite energetic and stuck in the head.
    But, when you return to Ludus, when the rumble of the crowd and the ringing of iron become left behind, they become silent, they are replaced by a calm, melancholy melody, which sometimes leads to thoughts about what the life of a gladiator is - weeks, months and years of training for that key moment there in the arena, a moment of his Exaltation. No matter to glory or to heaven, not so important. At such moments, the hand itself reaches for the mouse to treat its champion with a bottle of wine and reward a few coins for his courage and stoicism..    … Expand

    I can't imagine what it feels like for the DB dev to live knowing what a pathetic little loser he is. Puts out half assed **** games then just lives in the misery of his own worthless life. Do everyone a favor. Quit posting on sm and take your ass to a distant island no one ever heard of so the general population doesn't ever have to deal with the burden of you existing.

    Domina is so indolent that some might describe as a bad game. I don’t necessarily disagree. You might as well watch Spartacus on Starz. The graphics are probably better. The thrills of occasional action are probably more elaborate. But when it comes to RPing a lazy Roman noble who can barely be arsed to lift his arm high enough to give the wrist enough play for a dismissive flick, there’s nothing better than lolling around in the shade with Domina.
