This was a risky project, given the automatic assumptions someone might make about a game where dating and invading are conflated. Cast aside all those concerns, because this is a game where consent is primary, yet nonsense is overwhelmingly more important. It’s so funny that this is so lovely, and it’s lovely that this is so funny.

Doki Doki Ragnarok is an absolutely ridiculous game — in a good way, of course. It has some spelling mistakes and isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Truthfully, I had a lot of fun playing it, and I would have loved it if there was more to do.

Doki Doki Ragnarok is a game that’s incredibly difficult to describe without sounding like you’re three days out from the last time you slept, but I promise you that you won’t regret playing it. It’s short (about 5 hours for me to play through it) with limited replayability outside of testing the differences between passing or failing in a “dating” scenario, but it’s just such a good, goofy time.
