    It doesn't have the depth the previous ones had and personally, I found the story pretty lame. But in this genre the important thing is the gameplay, and I had a ton of fun playing it. That being said, the level design gets damn annoying the third time you play it.

    My first DMC game so i cant say why people clown on this i have nothing else to compare to. I found this game quite enjoyable and finished twice in a year thats how much i enjoyed it.

    Não é um verdadeiro Devil May Cry, e nem o verdadeiro Dante, também nem possui a melhor história, mas em uma coisa temos que concordar, a gameplay desse jogo é extremamente bem fluída e divertida para se jogar, boas armas, combos e etc... Isso também combinado com bons chefes e level design salvam esse jogo, e faz ele uma opção divertida para se jogar, se você não for um fã hardcore, eNão é um verdadeiro Devil May Cry, e nem o verdadeiro Dante, também nem possui a melhor história, mas em uma coisa temos que concordar, a gameplay desse jogo é extremamente bem fluída e divertida para se jogar, boas armas, combos e etc... Isso também combinado com bons chefes e level design salvam esse jogo, e faz ele uma opção divertida para se jogar, se você não for um fã hardcore, e toda hora ficar lembrando do verdadeiro dante, você pode desfrutar do game sim.     Un juego bueno y divertido, lo mejor del mismo es su gameplay bastante divertido y facil de entender, en cuanto a la historia no es ni muy buena ni muy mala pero cumple a destacar igual los graficos que para ese tiempo tampoco eran una locura (a mi parecer) pero eran bastantes buenos, aunque tiene varios fallitos y en pc al menos en mi caso tuve muchos problemas como bugs y bajones de fps

    Story is definitely trash, characters are pretty uncosistent, but the pacing is pretty well.
    There are some very interesting and more fun levels than any other devil may cry games, but this one takes a bad turn in that towards the end: THE FINAL TWO BOSSES ARE REALLY **** EASY. Combat is much more combo-ish and fast paced but is less tactical, but its    7 is a good score for this game.

    Apparently it's a story that won't link to the main one, but I liked the plot, but those who have problems with "alternative" stories better not play.
    The expansion was pretty weak in terms of story.
    The gameplay is very similar to the other games in the series,
    I recommend it to anyone who wants to play a good game!

    This game was a reboot after the DMC 3. It was a good game but they made Dante a little too cocky. The storyline was great with demons pulling the strings in the human world and how they controlled all big corporations and banks and media houses. The gameplay was great giving a little space for exploration unlike other DMC games.

    Unos de los mejores Devil May Cry.
    Si OK me gusta la saga original y este es diferente, igualmente lo disfruté mucho por su temática mas actual y aún vigente en 2022 a pesar de los años de su lanzamiento, la rebeldía contra un sistema manipulado...si sigo es Spoiler

    손맛하나만은 정말 좋았다. 여러가지의 능력이 자칫 뭔가는 버려지기 쉬운데 각자 독특한 개성으로 플레이스타일의 다양화를 만들어낸것도 좋았다. 다만 임팩트없는 리메이크로 올드비와 뉴비 모두를 놓친게 실패의 원인이 된듯.

    Great game, but underrated, de fato é um game muito bom, com ótimas mecânicas, e sem dúvidas merece atenção do público, a mudança visual de Dante não tem tanta importância já gameplay.

    Amazing and colorful world. Special combat and skill combination. It has their own Vigil story and connect to brother relationship and game's event 10/10 (I don't know why it is underrated)

    This is the first time I've played a DMC game. I hate this game, not my kind of game.

    I prefer mindless hack and slash and dislike fighting games where you have to chain together all these combos and remember all different kinds of moves.     A nice origin story for the series. A little too japanish for me. Aside that very fun combat system. Exploring is good for a hack n slash game. Boss fights are epic but the game is a little too short on playtime.

    I had not played previous Devil May Cry games before, so this this review comes from as unbiased of a perspective as it can.

    First of all, DmC looks rather great for an Unreal Engine 3 title, featuring lots of colorful, detailed, well crafted environments and levels. Character design was done well too. Combat felt satisfying, with lots of combos to unlock and learn. There's also light    I had not played previous Devil May Cry games before, so this this review comes from as unbiased of a perspective as it can.

    First of all, DmC looks rather great for an Unreal Engine 3 title, featuring lots of colorful, detailed, well crafted environments and levels. Character design was done well too. Combat felt satisfying, with lots of combos to unlock and learn. There's also light platforming involved. Some of the boss fights were nice, while some were either irritating or too easy even for me. I wasnt the biggest fan of Dante himself though, he was way too cocky and juvenile even by my standards to the point where his character can come off as cheap. Then again i'm not familiar with the classic Dante, so i cant be the supreme judge here. Story was alright for what it tried to do, the whole trapped in the limbo concept and brain washing of masses themes were enticing. But good lord the writing of the dialogue in this game can become laughlably bad to the point where it significantly and negatively impacts the overall enjoyment and quality of the DmC experience.

    I've noticed that this game has gotten quite a bit of hate from fans of the classic Devil May Cry games, so i'm not sure if they would enjoy this title, but for those who havent played older games like me, maybe give it a try, while the writing may make you cringe and wonder how much lower the barrier for AAA game writing can be set, the gameplay is still rather solid, making up for a pretty decent hack & slasher.    … Expand

    It’s an awesome game, despite its flaws. Whether you like the young Dante or not, is purely a matter of personal taste. But that’s not an excuse to ignore this gem. [March 2013]
