It's satisfying in a way where, if you end up brushing up on your skills often enough, you'll find your fingers positively flying on higher difficulties. And that's the hallmark of a true rhythm master. Until we get another game like PaRappa the Rapper, this is about as good as we're going to get for now, folks. Luckily, it's pretty awesome.

With a huge catalog of beats, over 150, and multiple modes and difficulties to keep DJMAX fans and hardcore rhythm gamers occupied for hours, DJMAX RESPECT V will undoubtedly appeal to a special niche. Gamers looking for a relaxed inventory of well known songs may want to look elsewhere, as this unforgiving melody mangler refuses to pull punches on its freestyle mode, and may not have high profile tunes that other titles in this genre do.

It's really expensive for a "Stepmania clone", I do understand they have to pay for the songs copyright stuff and all but 60$ CAD for the base game ? no custom songs so that means the only way to get more/different songs is through paid DLC. if i were to buy them all, it would cost me about 700$ w/ tax, bruh. No mouse support so you have to navigate with your keyboard with is pain on 60% kb with no arrows. Paid battle passes and FOMO cosmetics. most or all cosmetics are gained through unlocking which also means skins, i hate playing S-M with bars, always has been arrows for me at the very least circles which isn't included in the base skins. I absolutely hate the left and right shift gameplay things, at least it doesn't break your combo but It would be better if there was a way to disable it.

A fun and quality game exceling in many fronts such as beautiful music video backdrops, optimization, core gameplay and UI/UX design.A fun and quality game exceling in many fronts such as beautiful music video backdrops, optimization, core gameplay and UI/UX design.

Sadly, its lack of decent content and progression made it feel like a cheap, mobile game instead of a complex, AAA one.
