    Get this game for free, Played 24 hours. Get to master championship using mini. Only playable one car, others are floating garbage in dirt. Cars with rear drive unusable. Open USA championship and Track race have not enought tracks, cars and too hard to play. Boring environment of rally tracks. Free to play game for one week.

    I would presume most of you have heard of the genre “Masocore.” Basically games that are insanely hard, made even harder with the addition of some crazy features (ZOOMS IN ON DARK SOULS). Dirt Rally is one of these games: Brutal, punishing yet strangely addictive. It turns out there’s a lot of fun to be had throwing your controller (or indeed Racing Wheel if you’re playing this gameI would presume most of you have heard of the genre “Masocore.” Basically games that are insanely hard, made even harder with the addition of some crazy features (ZOOMS IN ON DARK SOULS). Dirt Rally is one of these games: Brutal, punishing yet strangely addictive. It turns out there’s a lot of fun to be had throwing your controller (or indeed Racing Wheel if you’re playing this game properly) across your bedroom/office/games room in a fit of pure rage as you fall off the road at the same hairpin that has killed you a thousand times already

    Pros: This is Codemasters we’re talking about, so of course sounds are gonna be good/It’s like a GCSE History Textbook of Rallying, with a car list that is absolutely chocka with legendary machines such as the Audi Quattro and Lancia Delta/All of the roads used exist in real life (Much like Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo), which adds even more authenticity to the game/The only game that makes wrapping yourself around a tree genuinely exciting, as that usually means you made it around the first turn without plummeting into a Monegasque ravine

    Cons: Only play this game if you like pain, otherwise you’ll just spend most of your time screaming in agony/Controller users need not apply. Unless you like suicide/Team Management system lacks depth: Get money, buy cars, get more money, buy more cars, drive around a bit, get upgrades and so on and so forth/AI in Rallycross events like to overtake you by dumping you into a wall/Graphics are mildly disappointing compared to other, older games from other series, with the only redeeming feature being the Motion Blur.     This deserves 10/10. Simply put, it's the best rally game on the planet.
    TBH, I'm kind of shocked that Codemasters had it in them to make such a good rally game!!
    Not designed for casual (poor skill) racing gamers. If you are a novice or not very good at racing games, expect to have to put in time to learn properly. It is a rewarding game.     It's the first time I put 150 hours on a racing game. And I'll play it even more. The game is very difficult but also very rewarding. I play with an xbox controller and it works fine. I think this game is not just the best rally game, but the best racing game I've ever played!

    This game is fantastic. Its a true simulator so you will need a wheel, pedals, shifter etc. But if you got those this is a must have. Gorgeous visuals. Numerous worldwide locations and event types. And cars from each decade. It is the most visceral driving game ive ever played.

    Dirty Rally is still the best. SLRE cannot touch it. As a guy who loves his cars, has built an old volvo rally car and spent a lot of time driving said car. This simulation is still a sim, it has its issues but they are so minor they have not bothered me, runs great on a 4690k w 2R9390's and brothers family share with a 4690k and a 970. G25 and Fanatec GT3 work fine. Handling isDirty Rally is still the best. SLRE cannot touch it. As a guy who loves his cars, has built an old volvo rally car and spent a lot of time driving said car.     Simply the best thing to happen to rally video games ever. Good on Codemasters for doing such a good job of making an actual sim (who knew they could). Maybe a little light on content for those who don't like rallycross but this has consumed my spare time in a way few racing games have for over a decade.

    DiRT Rally is the one of the best racing games I've ever played so far. I wouldn't say it's a better sim than Richard Burns Rally, but much more enjoyable to play, IMO. Amazing quality of track & cars modelling, outstanding sound, great visual effects.
    This game can even make you want to buy a wheel. At least I did. 300+ hours of playing since early access. No regrets.

Few, if any other racing games capture the immersion of racing as well as DiRT Rally. Few, if any other racing games capture the immersion of racing as well as DiRT Rally. The reason this game shines is because it is realistic when it comes to physics, handling and performance. It also helps that, unlike with the GRID series, every car's interior is meticulously detailed with high-resolution textures. The visual fidelity of this game combined with the authenticity and variety of the vehicles and tracks on offer combine to create a rally game like no other. Although this game is hardcore, it is in no way frustrating, unfair or poorly designed when it comes to other aspects. This is a top quality, AAA game that sets out to offer a great rally experience and it does that. Infact, it does more than that. In addition to rallying, there are Hillclimb championships; although admittedly with only 3 cars and one track. It also does Rallycross - this time with actual professional rules and cars which are very difficult to control as one would expect. Daily, weekly and monthly events with tiered rewards based on performance (and no restarting allowed) means that the game is always going to have a new challenge for you to tackle. The progression/money system is not needlessly over-complicated either. It gives player choice and keeps it simple. It will take a while to buy every car but there is no grinding involved - you always have choice. Perhaps the only criticisms of this game would be that in career events, the bonus for not restarting is miniscule compared to the gains from placing higher, and the fact that you can't select your difficulty can be off-putting for new players - even though the game starts at the lowest difficulty level. All in all however, this is a masterpiece - it may not have as much content or variety as previous titles, but in terms of quality and authenticity, it is a must-play for all rally fans.… Expand

    I've been a gamer for around 29 years with racing Sim's being my preferred choice of game. This, simply put is the pinnacle of rally Sim's. It's brutally challenging - in a good way that keeps you coming back for more.
    It looks awesome, with some of the most authentic looking real world stages I've ever seen in a game.
    For me, it's my game of the year. If you love rally, you need this game.

    I usually don't play racing games, but somehow rally games were always something special to me (played Colin McRae Rally 1 to 4 as a kid). It's been years since a good rally game came out... so i bought Dirt Rally when it released... and a racing wheel... and here are some pros and cons:

    Pros: + Gameplay feels very realistic and is pure fun + Mastering a stage and/or car feels very    I usually don't play racing games, but somehow rally games were always something special to me (played Colin McRae Rally 1 to 4 as a kid). It's been years since a good rally game came out... so i bought Dirt Rally when it released... and a racing wheel... and here are some pros and cons:

    Pros:
    + Gameplay feels very realistic and is pure fun
    + Mastering a stage and/or car feels very rewarding
    + Force feedback is amazing -> very immersive (playing with a racing wheel)
    + Lots of cars, three very different rally styles (Rally, Rallycross, Hill Climb)

    Cons:
    - No tutorial, driving school whatsoever. -> game is very hard at first

Every time you race a stage it feels totally different as you can race them at any time of day and with any weather conditions. Between the multiplayer, rally cross, hill climb and of course the rally stages there is a wealth of content. It is a also highly addictive, and no other game has brought me back time after time in order to see myself further up the charts. It's a hugely challenging game and the Masters level rally competitions are extremely difficult to win - but still a hell of a lot of fun also. Pure rally is a far more exciting form of racing than other genres, because the risk of crashing out and having to exit a rally can happen with a single twitch in movement going wrong. The rally cross multiplayer is also a great element in the mix, and again lots of fun. There won't be another game out like this for a long time, but in the meantime I will be very happy!… Expand

    Although this appeared to be a very promising title early on, frankly early access ended too quickly and while the platform is there for a superior rally racer, the game lacks content.... below are some pros and cons I put together for you.

    - Good graphics
    - A fairly decent selection of cars
    - Good sound effects
    - Tracks aren't way too wide like in previous DiRT games
    - Great track models
    - Overall a great but not overwhelming challenge on most stages

    Cons :
    - Very limited selection of tracks
    - Quite a few notable cars and liveries missing from the car selection
    - RX is underdeveloped and unfinished
    - A disappointing "multiplayer" system in RX, and a basically non-existent one in single player
    - League setup and clunky, underdeveloped, and unsatisfactory
    - While the devs clearly had good intentions, the entire time they kept hinting that the game would not be completed in time for release.... and now they are acting like it's done...
    - Career mode is very shallow and unfulfilling
    - The price is about $25 too high for the content provided

    All things above considered, I must give this game a thumbs down.... and it pains me to do so because the actual driving in the game is really fun - however there simply is not the content there to keep this game fresh. In reality the game needed another full year of early access, and Codemasters needs to spend about double the amount of money to get this game to true "full release" status.    … Expand

    This is really the rally game you have been waiting for since Colin McRae Rally 2.0. It is very difficult at the beginning but that is what makes it rewarding. Really worth it and as far as I know, there is no competition on the market at the moment (Jan 2016).

    I play this game on a G25 Logitech wheel and its a blast. Finally a great rally game like in the old days , the market really was missing a game like this. If they can make the career mode deeper, its a game to stay on my PC for a long time.
    Every car has a unique feeling, the weather effects on the track is great and the sound is real.

    It feels FAST, controls are tight, sound is killer and graphics are amazing.
    You can customize your cars till they feel just right for your play style. Online stuff is cool too. Daily, weekly, monthly events where you compete for time. Highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a thrill.    I bought this game back in beta and fell in love with it. Everything is really polished.

Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung macht es schon am Anfang der Karriere mit der 60er Karre richtig Laune über die Pisten zu brettern. Finnland mit seinen unglaublichen Sprüngen lässt mich jetzt schon, mit 115 PS, unruhigEndlich mal wieder eine Simulation die diesen Namen auch verdient! Habe gefühlt seit Collin Mcrea 2 nicht mehr so viel Spaß an einem Rallyspiel, wenn nicht sogar Rennspiel gehabt. Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung macht es schon am Anfang der Karriere mit der 60er Karre richtig Laune über die Pisten zu brettern.     I'm very happy to see early VR support as well even though it's a rough implementation. If they continue to work on it the game should be amazing on the Oculus Rift consumer version.

    What a excellent rally racer.
    It sits between arcade and simulator, but definitely more towards simulator (20% arcade / 80% simulator). It is very unforgiving when making mistakes on the track and I think has the right balance between fun and serious.
    It has gorgeous graphics and enough content for to keep you busy for some months.
    I would recommend it to anyone who loves rally racing.

Every location from all 6 (Germany, Monaco, Finland, Greece, Sweden and Wales) have 3-4 tracks in three modes: long, cut version named sprint and reverse-sprint. I really miss tracks from Africa, Italy, west Europe, UK, Australia and/or New Zealand. Moreover there isn't any special stages. So playing onlyDirt Rally is finally a rally game. Unfortunately list of tracks is disappointing. Every location from all 6 (Germany, Monaco, Finland, Greece, Sweden and Wales) have 3-4 tracks in three modes: long, cut version named sprint and reverse-sprint.     Game isn't a really simulation but it's difficult and challenging.

    Graphics is good but it's looks like cut from Dirt 3. Sounds are amazing. I can hear everything what is going on with my car. Flat tire, damaged brakes etc.

    So if there were more tracks game could be best from all rally games from Codemasters.    … Expand

I thought myself to be good at racing games (forza 5) but in this game I keep crashing, flipping the vehicle and driving off cliffs. Even with all assissts on I am having troubles. I played Dirt, Dirt 2 and other codemasters titles. Still I welcome the challenge. I am using a controller and not a wheel but ICan't deny that this game is very good. But if you're a beginner it's unforgiving. I thought myself to be good at racing games (forza 5) but in this game I keep crashing, flipping the vehicle and driving off cliffs. Even with all assissts on I am having troubles. I played Dirt, Dirt 2 and other codemasters titles. Still I welcome the challenge. I am using a controller and not a wheel but I can see this being immensely fun with a wheel.

    Great game!... I own it from 0.4 version (early access). Codemaster can still do good racing games, without the influence of marketing (bye bye Ken Block!) and listening to the community!

    I've had this game since EA's day one. All I can say is that those guys at Codemasters know how to make a great racing game. With a proper rally feeling, (actually since Colin McRae 2.0) I've never enjoyed a game this much ! Can't wait to play on my PS4 !

    I am a fan of this series. I am playing since Colin Mcrea Rally 2.0

    I just cant drive the car in this game. Just like in the real life.

They clearly haven't grasped the concept of friction. Even the 4WD cars are sliding like there is no tomorrow. Hit a bank of snow and the crashes and flips like you've hit a block of cement.

    If you want realism, you're better of with    The people who made this game clearly had no sense of physics.     played over 20 hours with wheel controller, i cant get enough, the driving is challenging & realistic, the best rally video game i played yet
    im really satisified with codemasters racing games
    i loved grid 2 & dirt 3 & grid autosport, and now i love dirt rally :)

    Real pilots - do not touch this shiт. Developers don't knows nothing about the behavior of the car on the track.
    For the morons: at a speed of 80 km / h and smooth bends up to 45 degrees we have absolute control, even on gravel road IRL, but in this game - We drive a piece of soap.

    I will give this a 9 if they fix the career save issue. Tried all fixes and none of them work. Still...why should we be fixing a "paid for" game. I mean not being able to save in career mode ffs.

I have put thousands of hours into all sorts of racing-games, finishing 1st being the norm, yet I had to settle with 4-8th place the first few hours of Dirt Rally. It's really challenging, and yet so rewarding when you finish a stage and see your time amongst the top 3. It starts offThis is a lot of fun. The driving-feel is excellent, and once you proceed to RWD-cars, it gets really hard! I have put thousands of hours into all sorts of racing-games, finishing 1st being the norm, yet I had to settle with 4-8th place the first few hours of Dirt Rally. It's really challenging, and yet so rewarding when you finish a stage and see your time amongst the top 3. It starts off simple and offers more depth and complexity the further you drive, in terms of gameplay mechanics. And it's well paced. Racing with a controller works great. There are also a lot of options to customize the feel of the controller. The audio and visuals are great, and you get a truly immersive rally experience.

    Sometimes, I've been cruelly betrayed by the co-driver. It seems, if I drive a bit faster than the game expects, I could be speeding right into a left hairpin before it's announced. Co-driver seems inconsistent in how early he announces corners. In just a few hours I was driving the same stages, but in a different car. In the same event I could be driving a variation of a stage I drove earlier that same event. I have yet to try the other modes. But the variety in scenery and stages seems lacking, considering the price. Also I have inconsistent framerate, it's especially horrid on night stages, even when I have shadows at medium/low.    … Expand

    I had to watch real rally lessons in order to be able to finish a stage with a decent time, or even in one piece. If that doesn't make an awesome driving game, what does it.

    DiRT Rally is a fun game for what it is, a different game compared to the other DiRT titles in the series. AI is though, you have to perfect a course in order to win, you can restart the course but if you do you can't get any of the extra "credits" because you restarted. Sadly though, one of the achievements called "I've Signed the DiRT Charter" is unobtainable since you had to play the game during Early Access. This means you can't 100% the game, even if you tried. The integration between the website and the game is pretty cool, you can compete in daily, weekly and monthly events to see who is the fastest driver on the specific course given. Along with the website, you can have leagues between specific 'groups' you join and compete against each other.    … Expand

    -Multiplayer for rally stages is missing (your friend as ghost car would be cool)

Was initially fantastic on my steering wheel now is almost unplayable. Force feedback was great but is now virtually non existent and unable to set my wheel up correctly. Oh, and, don't think you won't sweat while driving: you'll constantly balance your steering, acceleration, and braking across every stages available. This won't be a substitute to the gym, but it will really make your whole body sweat.

    This was my best purchase in a very long time. In fact, it is the only game I sincerely don't regret buying in 2018. (Yes, I got on the train quite late for this one.)    … Expand

    I had never really played any racing simulation. I was always on the arcade side, with Trackmania, Race Driver, Burnout, or even karting games... and then I felt like trying a rally game, an Dirt seemed like the reference. It leaves me amazed, literally.

    The first few races really set the stage: I was not even able to take more than two or three turns without falling off a cliff or crashing into a wall. That taught me what simulation was. The player really has to understand how a rally car behaves and it takes hours of play before starting to understand how to handle a turn, whether it is a 1 or a 6. Then you buy a new car, and its behaviour might be totally different, and you have to learn again. This whole process is very demanding but also very satisfying once learnt, and it gives the feeling that the rally driving experience is translated very well from the reality. This is also the first time in a rally game where I feel how important the announces of the co-pilot are.

    The variety of the races is well-thought and pushes the simulation aspect even further. Driving on concrete, sand, snow, grass... all these things are VERY different and you have to learn how your car behaves on each of these surfaces. This makes each race different from the other. On top of that, besides the traditional rally championships, you also get to compete in Hillclimb, and rallycross (together with other cars at the same time on the circuit) which also allow provide different racing experience. In rallycross, the AI is very clever, and the physics of the contacts between cars is very realistic. Additionally, rallycross is playable in multiplayer.

    The only thing one could dislike about Dirt Rally is its difficulty. The learning curve is quite steep, and even when you start mastering the driving of your car, it is still difficult to beat the AI. I personaly don't mind it, as I think it serves the simulation, which is the dominating aspect of Dirt Rally. But some casual players might find it a little frustrating at the beginning.

    Помимо гонок есть еще и управление собственной командой!(Шэф механик и механики) Нанимаешь людей..они прокачиваются со временем и начинают лучше чинить, настраивать и улучшать твои машины!
    В Асинхронном мультиплеере постоянно новые заезды разной продолжительности! Я один раз даже был 15ый в мире в одном из заездов!)))

    Dirt Rally, unlike its older siblings, now has the nice handling simulation engine that blows my mind.     Dirt Rally, unlike its older siblings, now has the nice handling simulation engine that blows my mind. I don't have a wheel like G27 Logitech or others, instead, I use only keyboard. But know this, even when I play with keyboard, I already get the feel of rallying, whether in-car cam or chase cam. And especially in-car cam, I feel that I'm a rally driver already, though not as pro as anybody else, but you know the feel.

    The interesting part is the powersliding. The first time I play this game, I can't really slide through a corner like I used to do so in Dirt 2 or 3, and that got me frustrated. But then I checked the setup section and advanced setup section, and read every descripition available, it was then I realised that several tweaks can make some cars slide through corners beautifully, same goes to the driving assists.

    Now now, I'm not saying that Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 are not nice, they are really good. After all, they are the games which I play more than Milestones' WRC, which I don't think really make any sense. After the release of Dirt Rally, I tried it, it was awesome!!! Recommended to people who like simulation racing or solely on pure rallying, rally-cross or hillclimb.

    If I don't give a 10/10 for this game, I would just throw my gaming PC away, that's it. No, I don't want to give it a 10/10, I want IGN to give Codies the new award entitled "BEST RALLY RACING GAME 2015"!!!    … Expand

    Very good simulation of a rally car. I expect a little more from Codemasters. Career modes are always the same. There is a lot of improvement in that aspect. It tends to be a drive and progress and nothing more. Oh and very important: it would be very nice that if you total the car you can't end the stage.

    Despues de llevar muchos años jugando a juegos de coches. este¡ definitivamente es uno de los mejores simuladores de rally jamas hechos. la fisica de la conduccion, los coches, graficamente muy bueno.. la unica pega que le encuentro por decir una y por eso NO le doy un 10 es, que deberia de tener mas paises y circuitos, no es que se quede corto el juego pero que si que podian meter masDespues de llevar muchos años jugando a juegos de coches. este¡ definitivamente es uno de los mejores simuladores de rally jamas hechos. la fisica de la conduccion, los coches, graficamente muy bueno.. la unica pega que le encuentro por decir una y por eso NO le doy un 10 es, que deberia de tener mas paises y circuitos, no es que se quede corto el juego pero que si que podian meter mas paises con sus respectivas etapas.

    Vendu comme une simulation pure et dure à en croire Codemasters et quelques dévôts, Dirt Rally n’en reste pas moins un Dirt, c’est-à-dire un jeu très orienté arcade comme tous les Dirt qui ont suivi et tous les Dirt qui suivront, car un tocard reste un tocard, Codemasters est tout simplement infoutu de proposer une véritable simulation malgré tous leurs efforts passés ou à venir.

    Ce qui    Vendu comme une simulation pure et dure à en croire Codemasters et quelques dévôts, Dirt Rally n’en reste pas moins un Dirt, c’est-à-dire un jeu très orienté arcade comme tous les Dirt qui ont suivi et tous les Dirt qui suivront, car un tocard reste un tocard, Codemasters est tout simplement infoutu de proposer une véritable simulation malgré tous leurs efforts passés ou à venir.

    Ce qui ne veut pas dire qu’on ne s’amuse pas ici et là, grâce à un maniement assez satisfaisant à la manette, des bruitages excellents et de très jolis graphismes. Le contenu n’appelle aucun reproche et couvre un éventail plutôt large côté chignoles (des années 60 jusqu’à nos jours) et côté spéciales avec six environnements diffférents sans compter les courses de côte (Pike’s Peak) et le Rally-cross, deux disciplines totalement dispensables et inintéressantes soit dit en passant mais qui contribuent au remplissage sur la fiche descriptive.

    Neige, terre, mouillé, nuit, on a toutes les configurations possibles, ce qui constitue un bon point. Par contre, ce qui l’est moins concerne le comportement routier de tous ces bolides dont les réactions varient bien évidemment de l’un à l’autre, des réactions qui consistent lors de chaque dérapage ou chaque embardée à faire pivoter la voiture autour de son axe comme si aucune voiture ici présente n’était munie du moindre autobloquant, ce qui fait hausser les sourcils d’incrédulité. Ainsi, il devient très difficile voire impossible de glisser des quatres fers, le véhicule se bornant à pivoter autour de son axe central comme dans les jeux d’arcade lambdas.

    On notera aussi des réactions brutales et bizarres des différents véhicules, des écarts irréalistes, tout cela étant imputable à une gestion de la motricité à revoir entièrement. De même, les tractions ne tractent pas correctement et ne se remettent jamais en ligne après avoir balancé la caisse dans les virages : l’inertie n’est pas gérée correctement, elle non plus.

    Reconnaissons cependant des différences d’adhérence selon les surfaces (quand même) mais le problème demeure apparemment inexpugnable pour Codemasters, incapable de simuler avec précision ou authenticité les aléas du comportement d’une voiture de rallye.

    La conduite à la manette s’avère la plus efficace tandis que le volant est immédiatement plus gratifiant avec des effets FFB de bon aloi. On n’insiste pas plus que cela, hélas, car le jeu prend un malin plaisir à refuser d’enregistrer ses préférences alors que l’on vient de tout régler au poil de cul, les réglages par défaut étant, il faut bien le dire, inadéquats. Las de tout re-régler à chaque session de jeu, on abandonne donc le volant pour la manette.

    Le jeu est très beau et tourne même sur une poubelle (i7 920 – Radeon 6870) en niveau medium et du moment qu’on passe en vue capot, les 60 im/s sont respectées. Sauf la nuit avec les phares, dommage…

    Un mot sur la difficulté très élevée des adversaires, un geste désespéré de Codemasters pour se donner l’élitisme qui convient et qui obligera à farmer comme un crevard la pénible carrière pour espérer debloquer toutes les charettes, très chères à l’achat.

    En conclusion, un Dirt qui ne semblait pas mauvais mais qui se retrouve toujours globalement… mauvais, bien loin des espoirs que l’on aurait pu placer à son égard.    … Expand

    This is the Dark Souls of racing games (Also Need for Speed Underground at a certain point).
    Its fun until you start an event,then everything goes down to s*it.
    I like the game how its making every player to try driving like a real rally driver but its just too damn much!

There's enough different cars, but each class has one outstanding car which renders the others pointless. The game is far too minimal to be worth buying an entry level wheel and pedals for (>£150!), but is unplayable on a gamepad.Terrible game. The RWD handling on dirt and gravel is far too sensitive, meaning you have to drive too slowly or retry countless times till you learn the stage. There's enough different cars, but each class has one outstanding car which renders the others pointless. The game is far too minimal to be worth buying an entry level wheel and pedals for (>£150!), but is unplayable on a gamepad.
    Game modes are very poor. Rally Cross has unfair AI at top level, where the AI cars drive flat out even when sideways and are solid when shunted, but easily smash you off the track when you're winning. There's no time attack mode, no ghost cars, no real way to test set ups, there's no official World Rally Championship licence - which is very n i g g a r d l y considering how low budget WRC has gone, so they could've bought it cheaply. The fake rally season mode only has 6, yes SIX, events! It all seems pointless.
    Online modes and leaderboards are worthless, only silly Rally Cross races against humans, who no doubt cheat as there's no non-collision options, and no downloadable car set ups or user ghosts to time attack.
    Very overrated, a very small and minimal game which should be a budget game, it's not a full game. Even if this game was perfected it's so basic it'd only score 6/10.    … Expand

    Well, after first corner i was a bit shocked how hard is this game or how bad I'm at racing games but after several hours of pain, every corner is so rewarding and this feeling of proud. For sure there's not a lot of content but game is 12/10 for sure

    Although the game itself is near flawless in what it sets out to do, a slight word of caution for casual players    I got this for free and didn't expect much, and it's not really the type of game I enjoy. I was impressed with how well-executed the game is and how it covers all it's angles so brilliantly. It is really very realistic and faithful to Rally racing, and it's beautiful as well.

    Although the game itself is near flawless in what it sets out to do, a slight word of caution for casual players like myself. This isn't a spiritual successor to casual racing games like Need For Speed Most Wanted, it is a very technical game, and it is mostly a race against the clock instead of traditional multi-car races. Although it is a perfect rally car game, it may not be what a very casual player who picks up a racing game is looking for, and I didn't really have fun with it or play it for more than 20 minutes.    … Expand

    Put simply, the best rally simulator ever released, with the possible exception of its sequel and Richard Burns Rally. My only gripe with it is the relatively low variation in special stages (although the included ones are exceptionally well crafted to reflect their real-life equivalents), and the somewhat wonky tarmac physics.     Я люблю гонки и езду, я не люблю time-attack, я никогда не играл в ралли.
    Если честно сказать, то мне не зашло, однако игра от этого не стала плохой. Отличный (на мой взгляд) симулятор ралли. Машины действительно управляются по разному, трассы сложные и быстрые, реакция нужна молниеносная, без джойстика или руля делать нечего.     Years ago it was best game for driving wheel. Cant recommend better rally game, with so much great physics emotions.
    What could be better in this game:
    -career/team management could be more fun, or need more reason to be the better driver. Maybe some rally driving school/corner sets attempts/trackmania time beating/achievements/. Tutorials are not attractive but challenges, medals - yes.    Years ago it was best game for driving wheel. Cant recommend better rally game, with so much great physics emotions.

    Played it in VR. It's a cool experience, and it would be even more fun for you if you are into rallies, racing and cars generally. I'm not, but that shouldn't hurt the score. It's also recommended for another reason - it doesn't have the always-online requirement that Dirt Rally 2.0, a mechanically better Dirt game than this one, has.

    For me, this game didn't hit for couple reasons:
    1. Pure rallying. I think the gameplay was funnier in previous games where the focus is not just on one thing.
    2. I do love realistic driving, but for that there is iRacing. Dirt would be the game I would play when I would just want to relax. And trust me, this is no game to play when you relax.

    the game is good and has beautiful graphics but the keyboard play is crap and the destruction of vehicles is not well done, unlike dirt 2 one of the most realistic ever made

    Not forgetting the physics, which is not realistic either.


    DARK SOULS RALLY because this game is more simulator than arcade

    Dirt Rally delivers the most solid experience audio-visually and driving wise to the rally genre. Still, road surfaces and physics could be refined further, and we really need more rallies. [March 2016]

    Dirt Rally goes back to Colin McRae Rally, relinquishing all that modern Ghymkana nonsense and returning to the simple elegance of old rally titles. It’s also a game that makes you earn your triumphs and therefore makes them much more precious. [02/2016, p.52]
