Rampage through hell’s metal artists and their countless followers! Immerse yourself in a hand-animated, survivor-like experience that blends beat-driven combat with a unique 12-slot inventory system, allowing for near-infinite demonic builds.

You start as a washed-up musician, stumbling across a crossroads when a hooded figure approaches and asks for your guitar. As they tune it, they ask if you still want to play a gig and hand you a contract. The moment you sign it, you're dragged to hell because the cloaked figure was none other than the Devil himself, and you've just agreed to play for him.

Now, trapped in the underworld, you must carve out your legend by jamming to the music while fending off endless hordes of fanatical groupies, angry mobs, and rival musicians. Your ultimate goal? To defeat the greatest metal singer of all time, Death, and claim your place as an immortal, legendary musician!

A presentation reminiscent of Hades is the cherry on top of Devil Jam, a Survivors-like brought to life with metal music and a beat that will keep you headbanging from start to finish. Only the bosses are going to get in the way of your fun here, but you're absolutely going to want to keep trying to best them.

The game has fantastic artwork, from the sins to the demons, everything is visually striking. Even the scenery, though simple, with its earthy, bluish ground, has personality. The problem is that there seems to be only one level, sustained by the same music and with a huge variation in available abilities. In the end, Devil Jam leaves the feeling of a game with great potential that fell short.

Devil Jam rocks a killer concept with its rhythm-fueled chaos and hellish style, but clunky progression and a thin roster keep it from truly jamming. It's a fun B-side at best, not a headliner.

Devil Jam has a great premise, fantastic art, and a fun mechanical twist on the survivors-like genre. However, it feels unfinished, providing not a whole lot of content and making players grind pretty hard to get what is there. Mechanically and narratively light, the game would be in a great spot for an Early Access release, but short of a full launch.

Amidst the sea of rogues and Survivors, Devil Jam rocks up with its effort. With solid gameplay, colourful visuals and a neat beat mechanic, it can be fun. But it doesn't offer much in terms of substance, and is subsequently more for the hardcore genre fans only.
