    Great game because of the atmosphere, the nice guns and the detailled graphics. Lots of lampposts, beautiful harbour with all the nice sounds that belongs to it, nice village with a toilet outside where you can hear the crickets. Great great atmosphere if you can feel it.

    I know this game is old as fck but god damn.....
    Here are the pros and cons in my absolute honest opinion.
    cons: -bad dialogue, even for a simple shooter -many things didn't have an actual texture to the like cars and such, simply slapped a skin onto a box shape and called it a day -control are absolutely atrocious pros: -pretty interesting and decent plot tbh -amazing arsenal    I know this game is old as fck but god damn.....
    Here are the pros and cons in my absolute honest opinion.
    cons:
    -bad dialogue, even for a simple shooter

    -control are absolutely atrocious
    pros:
    -pretty interesting and decent plot tbh
    -amazing arsenal
    -cool characters (though you could also kind them boring, depends on your own personality)
    -Cool level designs for a '03 game
    -actually not bad graphics overall, but pathetic compared to others of it's time
    I'll give this an 8/10 for old times sake, normally it'd be at 5 or 6.    … Expand

    Devastation has many cool aspects but always stays average. In the first hours, the graphics and atmosphere are striking and the action is satisfying. But you can find too many game-breaking bugs, repetitive gameplay and the story is beyond dull. Sad, because it had a lot of potential!

    В детстве просто обожал эту игру. Эта атмосфера... ах, любовь. Но на деле - это просто второсортный шутер начала нулевых. Сейчас вряд ли можно выдержать и пройти игру до конца.

    I never realized that it was possible to make a truly lackluster game with the Unreal engine. Lousy voice acting, jerky motion graphics, boring gameplay... yuck! It feels very much like a budget production.

    Horrible animations, linear levels, bad physics engine, no enemy ai to speak of whatsoever...somewhat nice looking levels graphicswise ie, ruined streets, abandoned buildings, etc. Avoid - nothing worth spending time on.

    Out of date. Feels like four or five years ago. No decent AI, bad level design...everything you don't want in a "new" FPS. Take it back to the store!

    Great and simple FPS game. But lacks of musics. Good story and graphics for 2001 games.

    If a more compelling storyline was provided, the score would be higher, but as it stands right now, Devastation will sit on my HD for multiplayer matches and a reason to show off my PC’s graphics to friends and family and that’s about it.
