Destination: Primus Vita is an enjoyable narrative sci-fi experience. It looks and sounds terrific as you investigate your environment, solve puzzles, dash through mazes, and navigate short conversations with your colleagues and friends. Scraps of lore about the Scatters and their origin help build an interesting world and provides a menacing enemy.

The puzzles, while usually fun, can sometimes detract from the central attraction, which is undoubtedly the story. However, when a game’s biggest flaw is that it could have been even better than it is, you know the developers are onto something. I thought the emotional arc of Austin’s story was fantastic, both narratively satisfying and visually stunning, and I personally look forward to playing the next chapter.

While it could do with a few more puzzles here and there, the premise is great and the characters are believable. Time will tell what the other episodes have in store, but this is a solid start to what promises to be an interesting series.

Destination Primus Vita‘s shallow puzzles are buoyed by lush, creative visuals and a thoughtful story to make for a fun exercise in exploration and discovery in this first-person, character-driven narrative through a high-tech ethereal dreamscape.

It is build somewhat like a movie experience where you discover more and more about the planet, the characters, and the general story. I really enjoyed the puzzles, starting easy and getting more and more difficult.
The labyrinths were awesome, and I had tears in my eyes at the end...

Instead of focusing on the aspect of the destination, it's all about understanding the memories of your character and try to understand her relation to her other crew members.

There are various type of puzzles that will work your mind, mixed with a bit of exploration and conversations with your crew.

The environments are super immersive and the puzzles are nice to plays. The characters are nice to discover, they each got there own personality, and it's pretty fun going through somebody's head and thoughts. The fact that they choose the scientist women as the first character was pretty risky and well executed. I can't wait to go into the rest of the crew's mind. Full Review »
