Zack, its like im playing a 20 years old bad playstation 2 game that you just keep pushing through to see where the story goes. If you dont get into the story or characters in the first minutes dont even bother.

It doesnt respect your intelligence at all, 100% holding your hand through the investigation, padding the story with errand boy fetch quests which the game thinks are super clever because they are "self aware", making you follow npcs running in circles that you cant stop following even tough you know where they are going, and so on, you can never be one step ahead.
The game also tries hard to be woke, but ends up making the woke character look like the worst kind of criminal evil subhuman, good job lmao

Amazing ending. Stick with it until the end. Gameplay-wise it's more of a 4/10, but the story of Deadly Premonition is just above and beyond.

I love the Deadly Premonition series! Yes, the PC version doesn't have significant changes, but at least it works pretty stable.

Deadly Premonition 2 fails to improve upon the first installment in every aspect. It feels like an open-world game that was released right after the original release, but with a less intriguing, less cohesive story.

Deadly Premonition 2 on PC is the most bare-bones port I've played so far, but it runs without any issues on Steam Deck while being massively improved over the Nintendo Switch version. If you have a Steam Deck and skipped the Switch release of this game, it is worth getting to play on Valve's handheld system.

The landing of Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise on PC is designed to offer fans of the first chapter the opportunity to take on the role of Francis York Morgan for the second time, thus experiencing his singular and story without necessarily buying a Nintendo Switch. Swery still strikes with his eccentricity but his team failed to resolve numerous problems two years after the original launch. The result is a game that remains undermined by numerous flaws, a lifeless setting and characters characterized by poor models and animations. Only those who have appreciated the events of Greenvale will perhaps be able to accept these compromises to discover a less engaging story than that of the previous chapter but necessary in order to close the circle.
