Mar 5, 2013Survival horror is gone.
Only thing left is another basic shooting game.
Boring.
I miss Dead Space 1
How is it possible to screw up everything THAT much -

Feb 9, 2013It was boring. FOV is too clipped and you walk too slow. Combined with all the map backtracking it's obvious they are trying to pad the game time. Characters are stereotypical and jarringly unrealistic. I'd rather do housekeeping than waste my time on DS3.

Sep 14, 2013I used to be a real Dead Space fan. I played the first two games many times, but back then they were not action games. Dead Space 3 is packed with mini transactions and fails to scare the player.
-
Jan 18, 2021Actually a solid action game. But if Dead Space's origins weren't in hardcore survival gameplay, it would be half bad. Here you only shoot the monsters with a lot of ammunition. You can forget the story, too.
-
Jul 15, 2020Trash experience if you compare it to original DS1. Well, even not-so-scary DS2 is miles better then this.
-
Feb 1, 2016This game is fun only for first hour, then it turns into boring and
overextended piece of good old Dead Space that we all love.
I cant reccomend this game for anyone, only if you will play it less than hour in a two days . -
May 22, 2016One of the worst games I`ve ever played, one of the most stupid endings I`ve seen. I have no words to describe my disappointment. The second part is much better.

Mar 15, 2019You can tell EA had there grubby little hands in this game, trying to appeal to a wider audience, and to squeeze money out of those gullible enough, a sad way to end the series, and with EA killing Visceral, this may be the last we hear from Dead Space, and it honestly pains me, that a game like Dead Space with such a bright future ahead gets smothered in it's sleep, **** EA, I mean it.

May 14, 2020What a horrible way to end an iconic franchise. They took out the horror elements and added unnecessary co-op. It's basically a generic sci-fi shooter with a mediocre story.
-
Jun 19, 2023Worse the Dead Space 2, its the same old trope...
Walk down empty corridors till you enter large "empty space/area"...
Cue the cheese grater violin and take on a wave of enemies that even Smash TV would think is excessive.
Simply put I've go to chapter 18 and don't know why I'd done it to myself, might finish, might not. -

Sep 29, 2013An absolute monstrosity this game is. I enjoyed DS 1 and 2, and thought this would be good. All it is is a bunch of boring levels with enemies thrown at you. That's all it is. Me and my friend tried Coop but it was so glitchy we could barely even play.
A rubbish game. DS 1 and 2 were much better quality. -
Feb 26, 2013I played and loved Dead Space 1 and 2, and this game is awful. A bland, generic shooter that should not have any relation with the previous titles. If you enjoy shooters with unlimited supplies, there are better options that do not advertise themselves as a sequel to a survival horror franchise.

PC Master (Greece)Jun 10, 2013Its emphasis on the action element might be a nuisance to some of the franchise’s fans, but the game’s production values in every aspect will reward even the most doubtful gamer. [March 2013]

PC PowerPlayMar 30, 2013Dead Space 3 brings refreshing gameplay options without sacrificing the gritty, believable universe, but scares are few and far between. [Apr 2013, p.92]

Feb 28, 2013Finishing a trilogy was always going to need bigger explosions and greater stakes – unfortunately this has come at the sacrifice of true horror.
